- 3 of the 5 eggs Alys laid before passing away have hatched. I feel relieved that I have a part of her with me once again.
Clearly, Alys was not the Toffee Belly she was sold to me as in 2019, but instead a high contrast high yellow Albino. That would make all these babies at least 100% het Toffeeglow, since their father (either Timothy or Pookey) is a visual Toffee Belly.
My hope for these little ones is that they inherited their mother's curiosity & fearlessness.
Did you notice two of the babies heads are swollen you need to make the space a little bit wider so they can go back in if they need to❤
We have all been there with overpaying. Be sentimental keep them. I think a lot of people don't keep enough babies. I plan to keep quite a few. Probably won't be enough though still 😅

Eggbinding. She's had a history of it happening, but in the past she always managed to sort it out on her own.
This time, even with vet assistance, she couldn't pass everything and died from septicemia caused by the stuck eggs. This is also the only time she has ever produced fertile eggs, so I'm grateful she left me something to remember her by.
The 3rd one in looks like it's head is a little strangled by the egg, is it ok?
It'll be alright. That isn't an uncommon look when they first hatch out.
