She had been rejected/returned by a different foster home because she ate through their door. It turns out they decided to put the puppies in the house and lock her in the backyard. Most defensive Momma Snake I've seen. It's not a bad thing cause it means she a very good mom being protective of her babies. I feel like the snake knows when your gonna take the eggs which is also why the get so protective and defensive. It's more of a motherly instinct then anything I think.
