Billy Jack Haynes makes a surprise return to Portland Wrestling after a three month tour of Japan to gain a measure of revenge on Brian Adams (WWE's Crush & WCW's Kronik) in this moment from the NWA Pacific Northwest territory's television show on March 31st, 1990! - Розваги
I miss this stuff SO MUCH!!!
"This isn't arm wrestling."
Guy should have won an Oscar.
I grew up near Portland, this was my Saturday night in front of the television. Priceless memories.
I liked ol Billy Jack Haynes loved watching him wrestle
Billy Jack Haynes.
Dude was a stud.
And a murderer.
@@siberianhusky5874 sadly
@@siberianhusky5874 he just lost his mind
@@gtf2584 He should have lost his wig instead of his mind. Have you seen that horrific white pageboy thing he found in a dumpster and then plopped on top of his melon? He looked like he was auditioning for an off-Broadway role in a bad Robin Hood play.
This was so hokey, but ya know what? It was still more entertaining over anything that's being put out in today's wrestling. As hokey as it was it still had its purpose, and that was to advance a feud and get it over. Segments like this we remember!, and those of today you forget about them by the next broadcast. Billy Jack was so over everywhere he went. I hate the way it all turned out for Billy both professionally and personally, but life is dictated by the choices we make.
Amen to that! I would rather watch this than todays junk.

Billy Jack got over everywhere he went? You know that’s not true. He couldn’t live up to his potential.
Billy Jack's the man.
Aduha Dx to bad he let superstar billy gramma 😛😝 use the same steroid needle on him an got hep c lmao 😂 speed freak, crack head an steroid addict lmao
I like the recent interviews with Billy where he says Vince McMahon might be his half brother lol
RIP Oliver, right on
"Who is that masked man?"
Don't you know? That's the Lone Ranger!
That was awesome. I didn't even get a chance to thank him!😉😆
Billy Jack was out of breath- legit!
You know Billy was one of the greats from Portland wrestling
Before the Ultimate Warrior, there was Billy Jack. I am talking about the press slam. Warrior did it better but Billy Jack did it when nobody else was press slamming wrestlers.
Billy Jack is one big bad dude. My fave in the WWF
Better in FCW with Gordon solie
@@oldetreetrimmer7176 yep I'm from Florida and FCW was the best and Gordon solie was the best commentator
@@alvinwine5665 I went U of M 78 never left. Now I'm one county north. People speak more English here.
@@oldetreetrimmer7176 sad state of affairs. How do we take it back? Men of our age really have to do something
Security , please get that microphone away from Al Madril.
"This isn't arm wrestling! I've never seen anything like this!"
Okay Al. After a decade and a half in the sport at this point, you've never seen an impromptu brawl erupt on a wrestling card before.
"This is crazy!"
I think Adams became Crush in WWE.
Yep
Exactly
And then a member of the NWO in WCW.
Get ‘em Billy
I think after Florida and maybe mid-south(Bill Watts), no other territory prepared more high class talent for the big leagues, than Portland. First wrestlemania main event was team Piper vs team Hogan, so it was basically Florida vs Portland. Rip Oliver is badly underrated, and deserved a better spot in the big leagues, at least at the same level as his long time rival Billy Jack Haynes.
.
If you want that kind of a match by golly, I’ll put it on next Saturday night. ~Don Owen
good ol days of wrestling
LOL. Don Owen was a classic!
I miss the old days of wrestling. Wrestling..not sports entertainment. When WCW and ECW folded, wrestling shortly after went down. Ya the Attitude Era in WWE was good, but after that ...👎
Fitted sheet! LMAO
i know lololololololol
The Fiesta Garden.. The best!
Billy Jack was the juiced man!!!
Full Nelson neckbreaker
Tony Atlas too
OK. I remember when Portland wrestling got red hot 1980-83 with up and comers and great working veterans who put guys like Hennig, Dynamite Kid, Chris Adams, Piper and Martel over. Then this production in 1990, when Vince had pretty much decimated the territories. Poor Don Owen 😢. An aged Billy Jack, AL Madril and RIP Oliver. He did have Brian Adams.
"Casper the Friendly Ghost" LOL
OaktownABQ ask Louis payan I think pat Patterson taught him some behind the back takedowns 😂
@@jacobivey7676 patterson would know all about Behind attacks
Billy Jack is a big man and he looks little to some of these other wrestlers...
A crying shame I never had the opportunity to go to the Sports Arena for Portland Wrestling
This was portlands finest. Great memories of Portland wrestling. I was there, saw it first hand. Great stuff
me too bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we old now, but portland and our rasslin rocked then
never seen this one rip oliver and billy jack friends wow till i remember they were enemies
That's feud is about to ignite with my next upload of classic Portland Wrestling.
I loved Billy Jack growing up. He was bad ass. Now I feel bad for him. He seems like he's getting dementia.
That's what 'roids will do for ya'. Plus I guess he was a bit of a nut case to begin with.
Oof, this didn't age well 😳
What ever happened to Larry oliver
RIP beetlejuce aka Art Barr
Is that Ricky Santana in the black?
Look at how young Brian Adams is!!
Al Madril would have been used properly as a jobber in the WWF
If 20 wrestlers couldn't keep them apart. What do you think security would do lol?
Is he wearing a fitted sheet?
Does the Portland ring look small? And the ropes look like garden hose with a cable going through.
Awesome wrestling 👍🥳
I was there live when this happened
heck yyeah i saw andre there about 1973 and my last match was 1981. 60 yr old guy now and watching these takes me back
so betlejuice, rip oliver, moondog maretti, brian adams, billy jack....who all else bros? this was probably like m senior yr 1982 so i was tring to laid or drunk but the gr8 memories! dutch savage, snuka who i hate now, dizzy hogan, man i am 4getting! scotty the body was in the mix too yes?
Is this the first week they had the new canvas and ring ropes?
Those aren't new ropes the just went over them with colored electrical tape
That is some Mick Foley lookin’ hair! How’d he get it all under that mask? 😂
Probably wet it down and slicked back, before putting it on.
Cool 😀
Look at that tiny ring...
Jacket is 🔥
What was the sellout capacity of the Portland venue here? A former bowling alley, right?
I think it used to be a video-game arcade, but prior to that it was an indoor volleyball court, I think.
You should write a book Billy called the 5 Five Family's only you Ric flair the grappler Andre the Giant hand full of other people could get away with that
RIP oliver teamed with bruiser brody to battle the road warriors.
Robert Conley WHEN??????
Robert Conley I’d love to see that match !!
@@marcl7463 where
Want to see that wow
Is that"Adam Bomb"?
No, it's Crush. Adam Bomb was Brian Clarke.
Or e gon……Abby normal
Talk about some hokey $hit . lol
Kinda crazy he was....roid raging to the max!!!
Any real Portland wrestling fan wouldn't know that that's Billy Jack Hayes just by the way he holds himself his posture the way he walks wiki sticks his head forward a half a foot in front of his body LOL
wHAT
😀😄😁
I didn't know Oliver was a face for a period.
I love billy jack Haynes it was fun see him kicking but mostly of all he love oregon like I do. Love you billy.
Wasnt this call Big Time Wrestling?
The first hour of the live show was taped for the Seattle market and was called Big Time Wrestling. It would air later in the week up north. Fans in Oregon and Southwest Washington saw the next 90 minutes of the live show on television later that night, which was called Portland Wrestling. The cool thing about Portland Wrestling was that you could be there live, then drive home as soon as it ended to see yourself on TV. The KPTV truck would immediately load up and drive the tape back to the studio so they could broadcast it an hour later.
@@TestosteroneOverload I remember watching it in Oregon all the time when I was a kid in the 70's my grandmother just loved it and she would go watch it whenever she could. She would be the little old lady with a cigarette in one hand and throwing a punch ch in the air. My favorite wrestlers was Lonnie Mayne akaMoondog Mayne but my favorite heel was Mr. X he had a mask and his move was the headbutt. That video brought back so many memories. Thank you
Where's the Grappler's Mask?
He lost it in a match. I think it was a hair vs. mask or a mask vs. mask match.
Len Denton?
@@OaktownABQ It was Mask vs. Hair against Carl Stiles.
Damn... never knew the grappler had lost his mask. The grapplers were my 2nd fav tag team, 1st were The legion of doom Road Warriors.
Is that Tug boat
No dummy it's Kona Krush
And you are?
@@jacobivey7676 your part time step dad
Oh reason I asked is you, acted like you were important or something. But I should have known by talking to someone you don’t even know? Get a life dude 🤦♂️
Bryan Adams kept coming after Billy Jack in the ring which is completely opposite of what a chicken shit heel is supposed to do.
do you have all of 1990, 91, 92, 93 , 94 and 95
The show went off the air in December of 1991, but I have a ton leading up to the last show and also have a lot of the shows Sandy Barr ran between 92-97 already uploaded here in the Championship Wrestling USA playlist..
@@TestosteroneOverload yes !!! he does !!! but you have to stick your head up his ass so far that you can watch it through his eyeballs LOL
@@TestosteroneOverload bro....anything with the young local luche libre types who were about 17? i know gerad gerad be bad i think he went by? sweetest dude lol i know he would love to see those pre match luche kids!
The Grappler and Brian Adams come to the ring for an arm wrestling and get bushwhacked by the likes of Rip Oliver Bill Francis and Billy Jack Haynes. That's three on two. How is that fair? All this tells me is that the likes of Oliver, Francis and Haynes knew they were no match for the intelligence, talent and ability of The Grappler and Brian Adams. They had to resort to this kind conniving chicanery. Shame on them.
Wasnt 3 on 2, it was 3 on 3; Al Madril was there on the Grappler/Adams side.
This was when Rip Oliver was a fan favorite and had the gimmick of being a "logger."
I think in a few weeks time. Billy Jack Haynes would turn on Rip Oliver and his son to become a heel. And afterwards Billy Jack Haynes would do his famous interview after his heel turn that fans of Portland Wrestling still to this day still believe is was a shoot interview.
It was the next show -- April 14th, 1990!
My dad: It's not fake son. Me: but.. Dad: WILL YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP! me:😳
Body guard Ray
Little known fact almost broke into the buisness training with a young Jessie Ventura.
Billy Jack Haynes was the man back in the day. He was Oregon's favorite son. WWE just never used his full potential. Same thing when he was in WCW as Black Blood. Wasted talent.
just get on with it! stop talking!@!!
No wrestling then, LOLOLOL
You’re there representing cocaine and gay
Al Madrill was lame
The only places he got over were places he could get away with saying swear words in Spanish (TX, soCal)
Over-Acting!
That was so dumb. So pathetic at promoting the so called controversy. The announcer didn't even know what to say or act surprised or confused.
Awful!
Cringy
Al Madril single-handedly killed the whole segment with his over-talking and shitty acting.
Awful just awful
This Portland Wrestling Promotion was boring!
Seems like there was about 6 people in the audience
MrNWA4Life ......someone who responds with an answer like you just did must have the intelligence of a kindergarten dropout!
