    Something that is just exciting about Portland wrestling in the early 80s

    Some of the guys used to visit Watkins Park tavern in Clackamas back in day for a beer or two and a little pool

    That's the Paul pershman look, not Playboy Buddy Rose look. I loved when he did that.

    Rip Oliver would later on Jobber at WWF , before The Ultimate Warrior hurt his neck on a stiff close line. Twice! He wanted time off to heal, and got fired. Billy Jack got him the job in WWE, and Vince wasn't having it. Not for a Jobber.

      @@origintrackz5235what are you guys talking about? Tiny Anderson is Tiny Anderson, I believe he was from Vancouver or somewhere in Canada. I posted a match of his from Vancouver ASW with a young Rick Rude. Grizzly Smith is Jake Roberts and Sam Houston's father. Real name Aurelian Smith. He has nothing to do with Tiny Anderson lmao.

    • @Sammy_Boy_Smith
      @Sammy_Boy_Smith 2 місяці тому

      @@Pillmanized true, this tiny guy looks nothing like Jake or Sam or Robin. Unless Tiny Anderson had kid kids when he was 14 or something, this guy is WAYYYYY to young

    It's just so hard to believe people actually thought these were legitimate sporting contests, even back then. Look how riled up they are. It's so blatantly obvious showmanship and theatrics.

      Kinda like people believe a senile old man got 81 million votes when it's not even mathematically possible based on actual breakdowns of voting numbers and potential ballots. But yeah wrestling is spectacle. You're very keen in terms of cultural analysis
