That referee is Sandy Barr who passed away after sufering a major heart attack a few months ago. Sandy Barr was at one time the the NWA Champion, if Im not mistaking. I grew up on Portland Wrestling. Sandy Barr also had a flea market which he and his sons would wrestle at quit often.

Zenk actually did wrestle in the Pacific Northwest for a brief period (10-85 through 3/86 according to the Tom Zenk pages) which would include this period (12/85).

Billy Jack was a good bleeder. I didn't see Portland Wrestling back in the days. I was subjected to the NWA, which I truly supported, AWA, WWF, WCCW, etc. Portland Wrestling looks interesting. It was definately in the days when wrestling had its territories. Those days are gone, but will never be forgotten. Long live the "Glory Days" of pro wrestling!!

I don't understand. Portland Wrestling was a member of the NWA. You say "NWA" like it was it's own promotion, are you referring to JCP?

There was a guy named Erik Anderson who was billed to be Ole's son who wrestled out of Portland for awhile at the tail end of the promotion, but Arn never did. Arn started out in the Gulf Coast/Southeastern promotion.

Santa Claus and Professional Wrestling go together like Christmas trees and tinsel. Rip Oliver gives all us intelligent good looking wrestling fans the best present ever--a beat down of Billy Jack Haynes. Who cares if Haynes was injured. He needed a lesson and got what he had coming. He got what he deserved. This is just another example of Rip Oliver's commitment to sportsmanship and fair play at its highest level.
Also compare this to Santa Claus's appearance at a CWF show December 25 1982 when Kevin Sullivan defeated Dusty Rhodes in a cage.

In WWE, Santa Claus (as $anta Clau$) sold out to the Million Dollar Man and then got stunned by Steve Austin a few years later. Probably believed it was Rip Oliver in another disguise too, although the one that sold out was Ballz Mahoney.
Sadly, the babyfaces have more or less smarten up to this and some dressed up as Santa Claus to give the heels a taste of their own medicine.

"Is he bleeding?" "Yeah I think he's bleeding!" "I think this is blood!" "What should we do?"

I will look it up but Im sure that Sandy Barr was never an NWA champion. He was mostly a mid carder from what I've read. People liked him though and he was able to make a good living in the Portland territory.

I remember watching this back in the day... man Don Owen was a terrible ring announcer. I just remember him stumbling over words and occasionally get the wrestlers mixed up... and I swear he was a little old man the entire time he ran the territory.
