I'm so glad you brought up Gohan, Pan, and Bulla in particular in this video Masako! I can understand why Funimation altered the timeline for the girls in particular in GT, but it just never really felt right, plus it didn't help that Bulla's height would change in nearly every scene she appeared in (watch those episodes she appeared in and you'll see what I'm talking about)! Plus, with Gohan in the Cell Saga, he's literally taller than either Trunks and Goten in Super, so in all those instances, it kinda destroyed the whole "Sayians having a rapid growth spurt" idea from Super Hero. Now if they went down the road of, "well, they have growth spurts at different ages, some younger, some older", I could by that then.
Don'r forget that achieving the Super Saiyajin God form made Goku younger (They stated that in the movie), probably the form bring the person to it's prime or something. We don't know about Vegeta because it was off screen, but it just makes sense to assume that it was the same.
I think my favorite look of Chi-Chi was Bojack Unbound. I don't really think Chi-Chi's old looking, but her style definitely is to me, and that's what's making her look so old.
So like... Bulma is the older one, but if you put the two next to each other after the cell saga time skip, you'd think that Chichi is one of Bulma's aunts.
Power levels have always been a pain to guess ever since dbz it started in the android saga and since then power levels have been uknown and in Super it got soo ridiculous that the power was in quintilions and even above god scale it just hurts my head and as time progresses it gets infinitely harder which is why it's best to forget about them since it hurts anyone's head too much to think about them
Maybe he drank the same immortality elixir that Roshi got, same with Master Tsuru, Tao's brother, given Tao Pai Pai is the younger brother of the two the apparent ages of those three could be indicative of when they took the potion, maybe Tsuru and Roshi got it when they were in their 70's while To Pai Pai was 50.
I would also argue Goku and Vegeta having access to God Ki might even further complicate the aging question. Like going in and out of it for periods of time might give them temporary access to the super regressed aging or longevity of the legit gods when doing so. So by the time of the final duel they may be nearing the end of their physical lifespans but their bodies may still be "relatively in its prime" because of it. That or because Vegeta's pride is so great, he might wish they both are reverted to the point of their true physical prime and with all the access to their knowledge and techniques. Can't see that guy going out as a frail old man with less than his prime abilities going out in his final fight like that.
The God form did show off regeneration abilities in its first use, and then Goku would later show he retained that ability. Seeing as it was a side effect of gaining the power of a God, Vegeta should reasonably have that ability too, and perhaps that regeneration could give them a form of ageless immortality. They are technically Gods after all at this point. It would make sense that the two Saiyan Gods wouldn't be stifled by aging like those who lack divine status.
Super saiyan 4 in GT was able to make kid goku age up to his prime. They could introduce him in a constant state of it and just say it ages him down to whatever his prime was
I had read somewhere that King Piccolo's wish for Eternal Youth was transfered to his "reincarnation" Piccolo Jr, which would explain why Piccolo is still in his prime at the age 1000 of DB Online.
I've always wondered if god ki affects your aging process in some way as well. Seeing as various cultures/mythologies and fantasy universes use the concept that getting closer to godhood usually makes you live longer it would be interesting to see if dragon ball goes down this route.
Pan's age is always off by one (or her birthday never seems to have come for the year) whenever we see her. Pan was supposedly born in Age 779. The end of Z took place in age 784. Simple arithmetic should tell you that Pan should have been 5 years old at the end of Z. Yet she was stated to be 4. Then, in DBS Superhero, Pan was supposedly 3 years old. The movie supposedly takes place in Age 783, so Pan should be 4 here.
Bulma: Wait a dam minute somethings wrong here. Chi-Chi: Hm? Bulma: Many years have gone and I seem to be the only one aging. Chi-Chi: What do you think happened? Bulma: Either everyone else used the dragon balls... Chi-Chi: Or? Bulma: The ageing process is bullsh**t.
The problem with Goten and Trunks suddenly shooting up is the fact that Gohan and Future Trunks grew up naturally as far as we'd seen. Young F. Trunks from the History of Trunks special was SIGNIFICANTLY taller than Kid Trunks in Super despite them both being around 14 years old.
Gohan didn’t. The same thing happened with goku. He was 12, after the 3 year time skip he grew a ton. Same thing happened to gohan (albeit he wasn’t as short as goku to start with)
In regards to Bulma's aging in GT, did we forget that she hired Dr. Hedo at the end of DBS Super Hero movie specifically because he is capable in cosmetics and such to make people "appear" younger? ^^
As many in the series have shown, age doesn't REALLY matter in this series, when Vegeta and Goku are like 80, they can just wish on the dragonballs to become younger again.
Indeed they could, but would their Saiyan pride allow it? That's the thing that throws the obvious idea into doubt. As we saw with Bulma's antics, Goku found the idea of de-aging yourself amusing.
@@MasakoX Good question, but it might not necessarily be them that does it. Remember the start of GT? Nothing says that something similar couldn't eventually happen in the Super timeline (Although I hope they don't go as far as reverting them to kids, Younger adults would be fine.) In terms of Goku and Vegeta themselves though, Would they really have much 'saiyan pride' in being 105 years old and unable to throw a punch? I think Goku especially might be willing to purely based on his love of fighting, and Vegeta might excuse it as necessary due to not wanting to be 'left behind' by Kakarot as a fighter. I'm sure They'll come up with some excuse for it if ever the series continues for that long. Toriyama really seems to like the Goku and Vegeta show. (And I don't really blame him)
@@MasakoX I feel like if there is a threat that gohan and the others can’t deal with they might have to wish for their prime that’s the only way I can see it, vegeta is kinda in the clear if he becomes god of destruction because he’ll get immortality in the longevity sake. Beerus may also force him if he needs a few extra prime years before getting strong enough to his liking.
@@MasakoX I wonder if you could handwave it that with extremely levels of Ki power you just start to age slower. Goku and Vegeta have long surpassed normal saiyans
This is something that has concerned me regarding the human Z-fighters for awhile. They already don’t get any love as is, and they’re all 1 timeskip away from being in 50s-60s. It gets harder and harder to justify watching these characters brawling with maximum power when they’d logically be needing hip replacements.
1:45 is it not assumed that power is the same has youth? i assumed they will never get old until they get weaker (has in sayans loss power over time and they train to keep up with the loss and if they keep the power loss in check they stay the same fight ready body forever?) at list its what i assumed
How old was Android 18 physically (not including the time she spent in stasis and/or whatever her cybernetics are doing to her) and mentally when she met Krillan? If I had to guess I’d say she would’ve been between 17 and 20 and I’m pretty sure Krillan was physically 30 or 31.
I chalk Chichi's younger look later in Z to her getting fed up with looking older than her husband and giving in to makeup and dressing younger. It fits with her complaining when he gets deaged in GT as well.
Its actually easy to understand, older chichi looks younger because shes more relaxed because Goku is actually somewhat around the younger version looked older because it was a stressful Era in her life and it reflected on her appearance.
In my head Canon Frieza Species are more like Slimes, they dont have bones or any differations of organs further from their exterior. Only a shell and their internals, thats why they cant survive even being cut to pieces but due to evolution shenanigans lost their regenerative habilities without transforming.
Considering Piccolo is a namekian, and namekian years are 1/3rd of an earth year, he's actually 60 if you use their calendar, still they live for around 500.

Here's my prediction: Goku and Vegeta's last duel, will be made a movie. It'll probably be the most marketable dragon ball product in history since it'll be marketed as "The Last Dance of Goku and Vegeta"
Freiza invites Bulma for tea, gets to know her, infiltrates her inner circle, then when nobody expects anything BAM! Steals the dragon balls and wishes for her to look like nature intended. "That's for what you called me when I came to murder your husband, your friend and your planet!" [OH HO HO HO HO's away]
Krillin dresses like a frumpy old granddad just to annoy Marron when they’re out and about. A dad’s job is, after all, to embarrass his teenage daughter in front of her friends.
The difference between Gohan/Future Trunks and Goten/Present Trunks is whether their Father had gone Super Saiyan before they were conceived. It explains why the older pair had a harder time going Super Saiyan and why they aged differently, their DNA was more human like. Meanwhile, the younger pair had DNA more Saiyan like due to their dads having gone Super Saiyan before conception.
My theory is that Chi-Chi learned how to manage money and quit buying overpriced cheongsam and live within her means until she was better off financially.
That episode of GT where 2 grown men were cat calling Bulla. Yeah it now uncomfortable when you know she’s 8-9. At least Vegeta only tore off the sterling wheel … he could of done worse.
I think I came up with an interesting idea of how Goku and Vegeta can keep their youth. The Divine Ki they've trained and absorbed, has extended their life exponentially.
Hopefully you make correction since the thumbnails not correct, Chichi at bulmas party on the left is younger than chichi who's angry at Goku and Goten running off in super, which is some six years after the end party of the Buu saga.
I wanna think that while saiyans do age rapidly at the beginning and end of their prime, it could still vary from person to person just like in real life. The physical age gap between Goku and Vegeta may be large, but I would love if they have Vegeta hold on to his prime until he notices Goku beginning to age as well. I can imagine them just making up an excuse to brush aside the age gap in their final battle from DBO, like they so frequently do when retconning things these days. I specifically enjoy the idea that Vegeta holds on to his prime through keeping rigorous attention on his health and well being, something that saiyan brutes didn't really care about back in the glory days of Planet Vegeta. Plus it might not be something Goku puts as much effort into, I mean this IS the same guy who stopped taking his heart virus medication lol, so he'd end up falling out of his prime faster.

Man, Saiyans suddenly changing appearance by several years... you thought *your* sudden growth spurt of 5 inches in your mid-teens was weird, imagine how these kids feel when they suddenly grow another foot overnight!
There's one big problem problem with them using Goku's suddenly growth spurt due to his Saiyan biology in relation to Trunks and Goten's sudden growth spurts because they're Saiyans. And that's problem's name is Gohan. Goku is a full blooded Saiyan. Goten and Trunks are half Saiyan, half human. They're not similar to Goku, they're similar to Gohan. People seem to forget that, when Z first started, Gohan was 4 and much shorter than Krillian but, over the over 5 years between the beginning of Z to the Cell Saga, plus the year in the time chamber, though it wasn't a huge growth spurt, Gohan WAS clearly getting older, to the point he's slightly taller than Krillian's height by the end of the Cell Saga. Gohan, a half Saiyan, half human, aged normally throughout his childhood, so them using Goku's Saiyan biology growth spurt to explain away Trunks and Goten... doesn't work when we've had Gohan from the beginning. Trunks and Goten suddenly growing after over 4 years remaining the exact same age doesn't work when that didn't happen to Gohan. The ONLY way they can make that excuse viable, and even then it would STILL sound like total BS, is in they used the same excuse they've tried with why Goten and Trunks weren't born with tails (unless it's revealed their mothers just had them removed at birth) that, due to peace times, they're bodies developed slower due to lack of danger... despite Super's dangers lasting so long that doesn't really make sense, but I can’t give them enough credit to come up with that idea, because that would require actually focusing on the lore they already established instead of just adding more with reckless abandon, as they have been since the beginning of Super
Another thing to account for when it comes to Bulla’s age. Vegeta has gotten bigger and brawnier, but in his first appearance, he was only about 5’2” and maybe what, 140 pounds absolutely soaking wet? For all we know, 4’8” GT Bulla is as big as she’s ever going to get. It could set up a fun personality for her in future arcs. Having a Tatsumaki-type chip on her shoulder because everyone perpetually thinks she’s 13.
You know, Bulma probably has secretly youthed Vegeta a time or two. Chi-Chi's party look was odd, since it was one of only like... 3 times we saw her wear western style clothes. (Wedding dress and Christmas clothes are the only other ones I remember. Might have been a 4th in the Cell saga I forgot.) And this is in spite of 18 stealing the outfit Cell absorbed her in from Chi-Chi's wardrobe. And please remember Akira Toriyama had little to do with GT, only really providing *some* designs.
@@ssjgotenks2009 The only reason I bring up the possibility is with Vegeta training in the chamber, that's years of his life gone that he could have spent with her. I don't think it would be all that out of character for her to extend Vegeta's life for her own sake.

There's also Teen Future Trunks who also looked significantly older than present Trunks at the same age.
@@Tamamo-no-Bae yup, that's right, that was a big one I should have included!
@@Tamamo-no-Bae And Trunks from “The History Of Trunks” looks older at 13 than he did at 14 in Super

Bulla is waifu. 🥰
Yeah, goes to show what style and appearance can do to make one look younger. As well as show how Dragon Ball's look and feel has changed.
Bulma is like my mom while Chi Chi reminds me of 1 of my mom's friend
Power levels have always been a pain to guess ever since dbz it started in the android saga and since then power levels have been uknown and in Super it got soo ridiculous that the power was in quintilions and even above god scale it just hurts my head and as time progresses it gets infinitely harder which is why it's best to forget about them since it hurts anyone's head too much to think about them
Tao Pai Pai has aged better than anyone in the series. He is supposed to be 280 years old or so yet he looks like he is in his 50s.
Bulma asking Shenron for a BBL is still one of the wildest things in Super Hero lol
i really wish they'd do another "evil dragons" saga just so we could have one of them say "i'm the "firm ass" dragon"
Nah. They'd just shove multiple wishes onto the dragons. The new Oceanus would be the panty wish plus all of Bulma's physical wishes.
@@michaeldaniels642 eh, it would diminish the thing imo :\
Could be. But Namekians are also just long lived and Piccolo fused with a lot of people, so there is a chance that could also be a part of it.
I want to see a flashback of when Trunks got his growth spurt at 15 and Goten still looked 8 for a year
I've always wondered if god ki affects your aging process in some way as well. Seeing as various cultures/mythologies and fantasy universes use the concept that getting closer to godhood usually makes you live longer it would be interesting to see if dragon ball goes down this route.
Didn't Bulma straight-up say she was 16 in the very first story arc? Can't you just count the years forward from there?
Pan's age is always off by one (or her birthday never seems to have come for the year) whenever we see her. Pan was supposedly born in Age 779. The end of Z took place in age 784. Simple arithmetic should tell you that Pan should have been 5 years old at the end of Z. Yet she was stated to be 4. Then, in DBS Superhero, Pan was supposedly 3 years old. The movie supposedly takes place in Age 783, so Pan should be 4 here.
Doesn’t she say she’s 4 in dbs sh? Also I don’t think we have an official dbs super hero time line (sorry if I’m incorrect)
i think this simply tells us that the events of Super Hero and the end of Z happen early in their years.
*thumbnail*
Chi-Chi looks really good in the casual blouse outfit than her Chinese-style housewife attire.
Yeah, it's very mid-90s and progressive as well as relaxed.
This is very helpful
People always ask how old my waifu is in GT. To which I always reply, “hey, that’s a pretty cloud over there”.
Same thing happened to gohan (albeit he wasn’t as short as goku to start with)
Gotta say that Chi-Chi is the one who aged like fine wine if we're talking about EoZ.
11:43 aw yes can't forget Bulmer
In regards to Bulma's aging in GT, did we forget that she hired Dr. Hedo at the end of DBS Super Hero movie specifically because he is capable in cosmetics and such to make people "appear" younger? ^^
GT and super aren’t connected.
GT was retconned as an alternate universe
As many in the series have shown, age doesn't REALLY matter in this series, when Vegeta and Goku are like 80, they can just wish on the dragonballs to become younger again.
Indeed they could, but would their Saiyan pride allow it? That's the thing that throws the obvious idea into doubt. As we saw with Bulma's antics, Goku found the idea of de-aging yourself amusing.
@@MasakoX Good question, but it might not necessarily be them that does it. Remember the start of GT? Nothing says that something similar couldn't eventually happen in the Super timeline (Although I hope they don't go as far as reverting them to kids, Younger adults would be fine.)
In terms of Goku and Vegeta themselves though, Would they really have much 'saiyan pride' in being 105 years old and unable to throw a punch? I think Goku especially might be willing to purely based on his love of fighting, and Vegeta might excuse it as necessary due to not wanting to be 'left behind' by Kakarot as a fighter.
I'm sure They'll come up with some excuse for it if ever the series continues for that long. Toriyama really seems to like the Goku and Vegeta show. (And I don't really blame him)
They are in their 50
@@MasakoX I feel like if there is a threat that gohan and the others can’t deal with they might have to wish for their prime that’s the only way I can see it, vegeta is kinda in the clear if he becomes god of destruction because he’ll get immortality in the longevity sake.
And Trunks from “The History Of Trunks” looks older at 13 than he did at 14 in Super
Fun Fact: Bulma is older than Chi Chi, yet Bulma has called her an old hag.
12:41 it could be simply because chi chi wanted that party style look i mean even goku dresser-up in a suit for th party
1:45 is it not assumed that power is the same has youth? i assumed they will never get old until they get weaker (has in sayans loss power over time and they train to keep up with the loss and if they keep the power loss in check they stay the same fight ready body forever?) at list its what i assumed
I have a what if idea. What if piccolo got his potential unleashed in the frieza saga?
He just goes around flicking everyone away
13:23
I can’t believe this god of destruction has a harem…
How old was Android 18 physically (not including the time she spent in stasis and/or whatever her cybernetics are doing to her) and mentally when she met Krillan? If I had to guess I’d say she would’ve been between 17 and 20 and I’m pretty sure Krillan was physically 30 or 31.
0:53 Majin Homer?? 😳😳😳
Headcanon: Bulla made her own time chamber in secret, where she can develop her highly dangerous machines in a closed space.
1:34 I knew that widow's peak kick in.
In my head Canon Frieza Species are more like Slimes, they dont have bones or any differations of organs further from their exterior. Only a shell and their internals, thats why they cant survive even being cut to pieces but due to evolution shenanigans lost their regenerative habilities without transforming.
It’s ironic that at the end of Z ChiChi looks better than Bulma, but in Super...it’s the other way around! Damn marketing...maybe...heehe.
Considering Piccolo is a namekian, and namekian years are 1/3rd of an earth year, he's actually 60 if you use their calendar, still they live for around 500.
Bulma should wish to age like a sayain that way she doesnt need to wish to be young for a long time.
Considering Toei does view GT as cannon as recent as a few years ago the ages of the characters really is strange
i still think you should talk about the oceans dub and westwood dub and give our american friends a view on how we saw dbz
the music
the voices
the cuts
its a topic for a videos that we in the west might actually might find intresting
I know, but that's a very precarious topic for UA-cam as it involves animation, music and whatnot. Something of which Content ID doesn't take kindly to.
@@MasakoX yeah sadly

I remember watching the super anime where chichi looks older, and then reading the manga where I'm the granola arc chichi looks like she didn't age since she married Goku
Here's my prediction: Goku and Vegeta's last duel, will be made a movie. It'll probably be the most marketable dragon ball product in history since it'll be marketed as "The Last Dance of Goku and Vegeta"
what there not ene clsoe to 80 so what last deal goku liek 40 veegta is liek 50 dude so way so way wood they be last duel any time soon
I think vegeta will make a wish to make him younger. Like in his mid 20 or late 30
It's a quandry for sure. He MIGHT, but would his pride allow him to do so?
Bulma, to me, somehow gets hotter with age. Like, she went from average duckling to beautiful swan. 18, of course, remains stunning.
When it comes to the female characters, given the series' artstyle, how old or young they look is mostly determined by their clothes and hairstyle.
So are we going to act like Bulma mom ever aged since the beginning of the manga
Krillin dresses like a frumpy old granddad just to annoy Marron when they’re out and about. A dad’s job is, after all, to embarrass his teenage daughter in front of her friends.
So what I'm hearing is that in another video, Masako is gonna TRY TO SEE THE FUTUUUUURE!
That Chichi in the thumbnail is not End of Z, that is from the party that Goku misses when raising dinosaurs just after Boo Saga
Imagine a story line about Goku getting older and starting to loose his fighting power lol
I honestly think the writers forgot what her age was they just looked at her design and assumed her age matched it.
@@Dante... funimation dub decided for thier dub to be 10 years after Z insted of 5 . So making them the age of teenagers.

I think I came up with an interesting idea of how Goku and Vegeta can keep their youth. The Divine Ki they've trained and absorbed, has extended their life exponentially.
it ge tntonit od with divne ki vegeta sias saiyans dotn get old tell after 80
Actually vegeta should have 24 years of prime left as saiyans are said to be in their prime until 80
7:31 Imagine Goku and Vegeta cosplay as Kratos and say the word, *"BOI"*
Some One Said Power Level Is Such Bs
At this rate, so are ages.
Bit of an issue on Freeza here, because his fourth form is his true one, so being in his first form there should suggest he is older, not younger.
Hopefully you make correction since the thumbnails not correct, Chichi at bulmas party on the left is younger than chichi who's angry at Goku and Goten running off in super, which is some six years after the end party of the Buu saga.
Bulma already revealed her exploit of the Dragon Balls for beauty purposes
Nice
Chi-Chi needs to go back to that EOZ look.
You'd think after all this time, Toriyama would give us _something_ in regards to what Frieza's species is called.
Yes
GT Bulla is quite simply the cutest thing ever. I just want to take her shopping and brush her hair and cuddle her.
I'm betting now that Goku and Vegeta have God Ki now that they're going to have stopped aging. The franchise will continue forever.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the Pilar gang!
I wonder if Chi Chi would let Goku have a few free rounds in the time chamber if she ever realized she was technically a few years older than him...
What would you do if Chi-Chi participated in the Tournament of Power?
Hey, MasakoX, you told me before, that the reason why you haven’t started a What If Video with a “MasakoX Here” and end with a “Catch Ya Later” like you used to do before (actually, you didn’t start-off this Video with a “MasakoX Here” either) had something to do with the Algorithm,
But could you elaborate on what you meant by that? ‘cause I don’t think I understand the Algorithm as well as I thought.
Bulla and Marron will forever be the cutest dragon cuties.
As a family of galactic conquerors I think it's safe to assume Cold and Frieza are naturally long lived

Man, Saiyans suddenly changing appearance by several years... you thought *your* sudden growth spurt of 5 inches in your mid-teens was weird, imagine how these kids feel when they suddenly grow another foot overnight!
You didn't discuss how the future timeline characters look compared to their appearance in the same year in Dragon Ball Super
If bulma uses wishes to reverse her own aging… would she do the same for vagetta? Without his knowing?
@10:32 Seventy? I thought it was *_Eighty_* ーunless we're saying they start _visibly_ aging at 70~ and then fall out of their prime at 80...? (õ∀ŏ;)ゞ
Depressing to think that Goku and Vegeta may reach their peak in 20 years!
And please remember Akira Toriyama had little to do with GT, only really providing *some* designs.
she did nto yeth vegeta as veegta said saiyans dont get old tell afte r80 and vegeta not clsoe to 80 by gt let alone end of z
@@ssjgotenks2009 The only reason I bring up the possibility is with Vegeta training in the chamber, that's years of his life gone that he could have spent with her. I don't think it would be all that out of character for her to extend Vegeta's life for her own sake.
I guess that age really is just a number-or several numbers actually-in the universe of Dragonball
Thumbnail: Hairstyle and clothing makes a difference.
Indeed. It shows that 90s style can easily make one look younger or older.
The fix there though is still "Someone used the Dragonballs to make us all younger..." Pilaf gang "What? Again?"
