I've had quite a few satellite radios, but I still think the XMP3i is the best radio siriusxm has ever released. It doesn't have many of the features of the tour, but it boots within five seconds. Mine is still going strong with thousands of hours of use.
Thanks for the video. I just got mine hooked up inside my house today. It took tech support and chatrooms over three hours, and still the remote will not fully function. And there's NO VOLUME CONTROL on it! The remote will NOT shut the boombox off! It's a piece of shit for sure.
You can buy the radio with car kit and get the home kit to listen in the house but as a Sirius customer each subscription comes with access to the Sirius xm app so i use the app via my Apple TV and soundbar to listen in the house.
Thx for the review I just bought that radio and wanted to check out the features I can live with slow start up and the notification I been using my phone to access siriusxm and felt picking up phone to change channels not safe so I bought the radio I wanted a blue tooth radio cause I don't how much longer cars and trucks going have aux port as over road truck driver I love having a radio I can listen to coast to coast
You’re welcome. I had my radio replaced twice by Sirius and they still have the same issue as the first one. No new update on either radios while others say there is I haven’t seen it nor have I been able to get a update no matter what wifi I use. Im glad I was able to help you on your decision if you have any other questions I’ll try to the best of my knowledge to answer them.
I have the Onyx Plus, and really want to upgrade, I've had it since it's pre-release promotion in 2013, has menu options the regulars don't, but useless. In this most recent build it's almost turned into a glass cockpit, and this would make it smooth and fitting. I saw below you had mentioned a replacement radio and an update, I will sub to see if you've found a remedy to the boot issue.

XM 360L support page doesn't even address the boot issue, it's just the same intro as the other support pages aside from any troubleshooting related to the radio itself, just your generic junk info. This is frustrating, I HATE LAMEstream radio, the same music, the same commercials.....Every, Damn, Day, and my listening selection is eclectic as hell. I appreciate your honest review on this, my current is so old that on longer trips the sound cuts out, and I have to let it cool all the way before it will play sound again, but just heats up faster and goes silent again within an hour, even with the AC vent on it, 9 years old.... May reluctantly upgrade to this, but I'm going to do some more reading, if I find anything I know you could use, I'll try to link it here for you to research yourself. Thanks again man.
I recently changed providers. I found a cheap data plan from tmobile that offers 30 gb for $10 a month with tax included. They don’t advertise it in stores but you can go in the stores and ask them for that plan. I got my hotspot wifi 6 capable (Inseego m2000) off ebay to for about $27 then went to the store to sign up and they gave me the sim for my device. I’ll post a video soon I just got back from vacation testing my ps portal while away from home using the hotspot and it worked great with little to no buffering. I also got rid of that radio and got the Siriusxm roady BT. It boots up way faster that the tour and I’ve been loving it. I have not yet tried to see if it can connect to wifi or not.

Another person said after the update it now takes between 15-30 seconds to boot but I don’t know because my radio gives update failed when checking for updates no matter what wifi I connect to.

My only complaint with the radio, is when it starts up, The Bridge has changed to the U2 channel. Now U2 has some snappy songs, but I don't like them enough to save their channel. I wish I could figure out how to stop that.
It’s still as slow as it was then. No updates available to the unit. It still glitches from time to time as the other day it got stuck on the Sirius screen and 3 minutes later I had to manually turn it off and back on. I have not tried the latest radio yet but when I do I’ll be sure to post it on UA-cam.
I just got a replacement radio this week. Same tour 360. No update it’s still on 3.15 and everything is still the same. One person mentioned their radio now comes on in less than a minute but I have yet to see that with my old and new replacement radio and I have not seen any video online showing the tour 360 booting up in less than a minute
Hello Sir! I am thinking about purchasing this model, even with the rediculously long boot times. Gonna get the $10.99 subscription. I am just curious what the heck is the Wi-Fi for? Just extra channels? I plan on using this were there is no internet connection.
The wifi is needed in order to get updates and the extra online channels that you can only get with the app or listening online. Wifi is also needed for the voice command.
Thank you for the video. I just recently upgraded. And I wish I had not. On the Onyx plus you could play your saved channels and random. I don't see that Beecher if anybody could help that would be great. Again thank you for the video
If you just tap on the artists, you can save the song and will notify you when that artists and song come back on. I too just upgraded from the Onyx to this. I don't see where you could save and play your favorite song whenever on the Onyx. The only XM radio that did that was the second generation one that held the sd card. Thanks and good luck
hey, hope you see my comment, I bought the SiriusXM Tour Radio I called SiriusXM to set it all up but all of a sudden on every channel is says “Subscribe to listen” but the thing is i’m already subscribe and yet it’s telling to subscribe.. I called and they said that it needs a “Signal Refresh” so I did it and waited about an hour waiting to receive all the channels and nothing when I called it says i need to be on channel 1 the “SiriusXM Preview Channel” and that i need to hear audio but for some reason it says “No Satellite Signal” but the radio is outside of a clear view..
Same thing happen to me when I first got mine. I gave them the radio ID that was on the screen but it still said subscribe. I waited about 30 minutes and still nothing. I checked the ID on the back of the radio and it was different from the one I gave them. Id suggest going to your account and making sure they entered the correct radio ID. If it’s the same then I would try resetting the radio back to factory setting. Also you may want to check that the radio is properly docked and check the antenna wires for any breakage. If it’s a used radio it could be that the antenna or dock is defective but if it’s new then I’ll take it back to the store and exchange it for another one call Sirius to transfer the service to the new radio and give them the radio ID that’s on the back of the unit.

Im going to try this radio. I have too much problems out the onyx plus the signal keeps going out. I just bought a new onyx now it wont turn on all the way its junk
Check the dock. My tour is doing the same as your radio where the signal keeps dropping. When I touch the wires or press the dock and radio down the signal will return them sometimes go out again so I’ll repeat the process til the signal locks. I’ve been meaning to take my wife’s onyx out her car and test it with my dock but I keep forgetting to do so. I also have a extra dock and antenna but I want to test the onyx first before swapping out the dock and if all fails then I know it’s my radio and I will need to call Sirius to see if my radio is still covered under the warranty.
I would recommend the other radio but thats my opinion. I checked for updates the other day and nothing. The radio is still the same with a long boot up. Dont get me wrong it is a good radio but not for that price. I still use mine everyday as i switch from sat stations to online stations. My wife uses the onyx plus. I have another onyx plus stored away and when my year promo is up and if the TOUR is still the same i will be swapping it out with my spare onyx plus.
Okay, so I guess you have to be smarter than the average XM radio, because I just bought the Tour 360L radio. Yes, it took approximately 1 minute for it to power up like you said. I immediately did an update and now it powers up and plays music within 15-30 seconds. This radio took me approximately an hour to figure everything out, but guess what??? There's nothing wrong with it and once you figure the device out, it's pretty simple to operate. I absolutely love this radio and for $25 monthly fee, it's worth the tax write off at the end of the year to be able to listen to one's favorite channel coast to coast. You really should read 👀 instructions before you post a video. Smh 🤔🤔🤔
I read the instructions and waited a while before posting a video but I still had issues and til this day it’s still acting up where it constantly reboots and won’t update no matter what wifi I connect it to. I just talked to Sirius listener care and they’re sending me out a replacement radio since mine seems to be defective since day one. I was able to get one update and no more since. I keep getting update failed even after a factory reset. I’m glad yours is working fine.
Totally agree with you James, the Tour 360 IS the very best Radio that SeriusXM has EVER put out in my honest opinion ! Yes, it takes a bit to boot up, but … so what ! Once it does, it’s truly an AMAZING unit, and the features, and capabilities of the same are The Best EVER ! I really like it ! ( Tour 360 )

It would be slow because this radio is using the internet instead of doing it the traditional way through satellites.
Because that receiver is WiFi enabled, you get that WiFi notification because it’s mandated by the fcc to be there by default

Still the same. They replaced the radio twice and it’s still booting slow, software is still 3.15.0

It's a 2 way satellite communication device with 360 service. It does way more than the Onyx did so, don't compare the two.

How long can you rewind for like on my onyx plus I can go back an hour provided it's been on for an hour but can you do the same with the Tour?
Yes I believe it goes back up to an hour but I have yet to see how far it goes. I only went back a few (3 or 4) songs
so this is 2yrs ago! did it improve on booting? update, or something? or do you know if the newer units/batch have the same issue?

Does is work in Kenya? Can it be installed in Kenyan cars ?
It can be installed in any car and played via Bluetooth or fm transmitter as long as SiriusXM is available in your area.

SiriusXM only has service in America and Canada.
