One can only dream of living a full life such as this man...83 and still pulling wheelies is amazing. Thanks for sharing this great man and his Cuda! Take care
My brother and I had the privilege of meeting Bob a few years ago at a car show/drag race. At 76 he did a wheel stand for the entire 1/4 mile. A gracious man who took the time with every fan. The first Hemi Under Glass were 4sp cars with no rear brake steering and hole in floor to see. I'm wearing a HUG tshirt he signed right now. Great video, thanks
As he mentioned, Leno got plenty of traction (haha) from that episode. It helped propel his show to where it is today. Motorsports is not a hobby for wimps! As the son of a flat track, motocross, and stock car racing Dad, we learned anything could happen at any time. Part of the thrill, actually.
Happy birthday Bob Riggle! You have brought thrills to many fans! Thank you Lou for sharing this great video! I saw that episode with Jay Leno. So glad both of you were ok!

That was a scary episode and it was late at night when I seen it. Freaked me out.. I was worried sick for Jay but it was too late to call and check on him... I wish.
Yoiarib Ochoa Yeah, you don't see enough of the early 'Cudas. It seems the '70-'71's get most of the attention because of the greater availability of the bigger motors.
Yoiarib Ochoa To see what I mean, go over to the new episode of Musclecar of the Week, just uploaded today. There's these two guys, known simply as "The Brothers", who have a huge collection of cars. They just bought a yellow '70 Hemi 'Cuda, which makes "I-dont-know-how-many" they have. I think they're trying to corner the market on 440 and Hemi 'Cudas.
Yoiarib Ochoa I really like the ‘67-‘69 Barracuda’s too, not a fan of the ‘64-66’s since they just look odd to me. My Dad had a ‘67 Barracuda Fastback Formula S with a 340 & a 4 speed. Really loved that car & miss it, it was a lot of fun.

Great memories. I see the older version had a black roof, black hood, the post near the rear window, and different rims. In another YT video, it mentioned that Bob built 9 versions of the HUG over the years. These slight changes take nothing away from this beast. Imagine +80 and driving this iconic car!! Remember the Little Red Wagon?

Great video lou, I'v seen the car in the goodwood festival of speed in the UK. The j Leno crash was scary glad all three are OK.love that supercharged v8.
Glad to see both you and Jay came through the roll over O.K. That infield was really bumpy. Great to see you got the car repaired. Hope you have many more years of wheelies. By the way, I was born in '65 when there used to be track everywhere.
I remember when I was a teenager and seeing this car and the Hurst Hairy Olds and similar cars in the car magazines of the day. I saw the episode of Jay Leno’s Garage when this car was rolled about three times and for any car enthusiast that was sad to watch. So nice to see this car back in shape again! Happy birthday Bob, and many more! And thanks Lou for another great car story! That HEMI sounds great!!

There was a part of the track that caused the rear wheels to start hopping. That's what caused the accident.

Hi Roger, Happy to read this car brings back wheel standing memories :-) Yes, I do remember the "Little red Wagon". Thank you for viewing and sharing, Lou
@@loucostabile Hi Lou, you're welcome and keep up the great content! Cheers Roger
Bob Riggle started in 1965, My Pop General Jerry Lee started in 1966. Both Legonds in the Wheelstanding community. My Younger Brother Hoss bought one of Bobs Hurst Hemi underglass Wheelstanders from Bob and Hoss has Nothing but Nice things to say about Bib.. A True Wheelstanding Legond!

I'm glad you found it :-)
I remember when I was a teenager and seeing this car and the Hurst Hairy Olds and similar cars in the car magazines of the day. I saw the episode of Jay Leno’s Garage when this car was rolled about three times and for any car enthusiast that was sad to watch. So nice to see this car back in shape again! Happy birthday Bob, and many more! And thanks Lou for another great car story! That HEMI sounds great!!

i almost screamed when it rolled on jay lenos video
Scary for sure...
Now that's ideal transportation for 'Seniors', don't you think? lol, I remember seeing that car going down the 1320 many times in my youth, I'll never forget the thrill as I watched Mr. Riggle do his thing from his "Office". "Little Red Wagon", "Thunder Wagon", and the "Back-up Pick-up", were major 'magnets' to the dragstrips. I don't think they ever made a show without a "Sell out" crowd. Thank's Lou, for posting this video, I sure enjoyed it. BTW, for what it's worth, I've subbed, left a thumbs up, and clicked on the bell.
Hi Bobby, You're right, this is the way to go :-) Welcome to the Channel! I believe you'll see many cars you'll enjoy, and let a few of the commercials play through so I can keep sharing the cars with you, Lou

Excellent video, one of the reasons why I love mopars & another reason why I wish I were born 40 years earlier but I'd be 80 now. So it's a wash.
