This 'Cuda is amazing! The paint & Bill's restoration efforts are only rivaled by that 440 under the hood. Thanks for finding and sharing Bill & his 'Cuda with us, Lou!

Lou., I have just one thing to say about this ride. CUDA! CUDA! CUDA!
Okay, that was three one things but still.., CUDA! Its the Jerry lee Lewis of cars. The Before and After pics - Wow! Bill deserves a HUGE thank you for rescuing this car. Thanks, Lou for another awesome feature! Just one more thing in closing. CUDA! Did I say I like Cudas? I tend to be vague sometimes.

Wow! I've always understood that slipping a 440 in was such a tight fit that there was no room for a/c or power steering. I can live without a/c. No power steering would make a beast out of such a nose-heavy car. Talk about a wild ride! I love the color! Thanks for sharing! You've made my day.

Love the 2nd gen Barracuda fastback body style. These cars were overshadowed by the Mustangs, Camaros and Firebirds of the day, but it is equally as beautiful They don't get the attention of the 3rd gen Cudas, but it has beautiful lines and deserves more recognition. Thanks. Lou.

Hi Lou, This is a fantastic car! Really got into the video too. Just want to say that I'm jealous since I also owned one back many years ago and wish I had kept it. I owned an original one from June '70 until sometime in 1979 and sold it because it was killing me at the gas pump since I only got 10 mpg and was driving it 80 mi.daily. Mine was Red with black interior. I do have a couple of items that I noted while watching the video. You may want to update the speedometer. Mine had a 150 mph one from the factory. Also, the trunk bevel was painted flat black. As for the build, my understanding was that Plymouth sent the rolling chassis with crated engine and the 727 transmission to Hurst who installed both and returned the completed car back to the factory. They only came with the 727 auto, had no power steering or brakes because of space limitations. Thanks again for fond memories and continue to enjoy.

That 440 will roast those skinny little bias ply tires in no time. Nice restoration! The 67' - 69' cudas don't get enough love. I think that fastback body style rivals the Mustang design.

These are some of the most beautiful cars ever made in the U.S.A. I have always thought the prettiest versions of this car were the 1967 models, the first year of the second-generation "fish" cars. The best all-around "sporty" versions used the 340 engines which appeared in 1968. The big-block engines put too much weight on the front end of an A-body. Steering the big-block cars was very serious work. I don't think the big-block cars were available with power steering or factory installed AC because the fit was so tight with big-block engines. Still, the 383 and 440 cars were wonderful growlers to be around. I love them all.

In the spring of 1969, my close high school friend Bruce and I visited a local Plymouth dealer on a hot Saturday afternoon. It must be noted that we were dressed super casually in shorts and sandals as we had been out barhopping the night before. My friend had saved quite a bit of money from part-time employment to buy his dream car… A 1969 Plymouth barracuda… But he wanted to test drive one before plunking down the cash. We entered the Plymouth dealer show room from the hot outdoor weather into the air conditioning and were approached by a sales associate who wanted to know what we wanted from him. My friend Bruce told him that he was interested in a new barracuda and the sales person rudely responded by asking if “you boys are here to get out of the heat or to buy a car?“ Well, Russ and I immediately turned on our heels and walked out having not purchased a car for Bruce. I can’t recall what car Bruce ended up buying after that experience but needless to say it was not a Plymouth.

Awesome Lou《☆》My 68 Notchback Barracuda had a clock where the performance indicator is on Bills Cuda but I swapped it out with a Tach from a buddies 69 Cuda that was a race car with a 440 :*: Not sure if it was an M code car. The Tach was horrible tho because the needle didn't have any dampener. It would bounce off the high side when I stomped on it :*: Bills Cuda is immaculate & extremely rare but it's so cool that he drives & enjoys it :*: It'd be real cool to get a ride in this one. Take care Brother🤓☻🤠🚥🚥🚥😎🍂🍃🍁🌲

Nice to see what a stock one looks like. I am building a fake one but i will put in a 4 speed because that is how i like it. I also will be installing the new fuel injection 6 B.B.L. that just came out and since it is a faker i will be installing the pistol grip and call it a proto type shifter for a laugh. Very nice color but i know mine will be all black, mini tubbed with no hub caps and chrome lugs for it's finished look.
