SA came from quite a way down at the beginning of the last quarter to win and Carey tore the Vics apart kicking at least 2 goals from the half forward flank. It was the only time that Carey played for South Australia: after he did that to the VIcs the league changed the origin rules to make sure that he played for NSW.
