This era of BMW still represents the most cohesive and comprehensive styling that BMW has ever produced. Period. I much prefer these to anything currently manufactured by BMW. It’s always great to see a well cared for stock example, and also an owner that is willing to have this level of detailing done to maintain such a classic of automobile history. Outstanding detailing, as usual.
The styling for me on a premium car as a m5 is nothing you have to scream about, the power is there anyway. Like the old 850 or 750, they are cars for discrete People.
Beautiful job! I detailed for 17 years. Started out mastering the use of a rotary buffer and then onto the orbital when those started to become to norm. I usually roll my eyes at a lot of "professional detail" videos but this job was executed extremely well without the use of questionable techniques, tools or chemicals. Plus as a former E39 owner myself this video is even more special to me. Bravo!
The guy who ordered that car had a very good taste the chosen paint and interior color scheme work perfect together, gives it an extra touch of class. And with this spectacular detailing job it is a dream to look at. I would pay a lot of extra money over value for this particular car with all the work done and color scheme!
It's a great combo but it's not too rare. Nearly all the ones with this interior I've seen ("Caramel Heritage") (the extended version here--leather on the dash and tunnel) are this exterior ("Carbon Black"). I think I've seen one red, one metalic red, one British racing green, but otherwise all carbon black. My first was a metallic grey with this interior but my second was carbon black again this interior. This is my favorite interior of all time and I have no idea why people ordered the "modern" version (black flat panels with black, silver, red, or blue inserts) instead of the "heritage" (available in black or green but I only ever saw caramel).
@@The_North0 fyi carbon black is has a midnight bluebase with a black galaxy effect metalflake in it that givves that black to twinkly deep midnight blue to black to black chrome color effect! so basically it is blue and black!
I commented that it appeared blue because it looks like the color of my ‘85 535i which was Orient Blue. Had not seen Carbon Black before so my mistake.
@@chitown1098 I realize that i was correcting the user who told you it was black not blue! because if you look at it closely carbonblack could be considered either one!
The only way you can tell the high water mark is when the water recedes. This era of BMW represents the high water mark for the brand and the true definition of “Ultimate Driving Machine” in my opinion.
Probably one of the best - IF not the best detailing video I‘ve personally seen so far… surely also because of the result in the end. That‘s what a nice car should look like in the end of such a treat. 🤓
Best interior ever. I had an E39 530i Sport. And as much as I loved the new V10 it felt like a downgrade interior-wise. I eventually got my V10 in the M6 because sitting in it reminded me more of the E39
It is so classic and timeless, and it cleans up soo nice. Carmel BMW interior from this era just has this vibe to it that will never be matched or replicated
Another beautiful, modern classic BMW brought back to its glory, what a satisfying video! You guys do such quality work and the attention to detail is fantastic. I wish I still lived on that side of the country, I'd drive my E30 and E39 over and have you detail them, you're the best detailers I've ever seen. So nice to see a clean (extra clean now!) stock example of an M5 being well cared for and preserved. Nice work!
That is by far the most beautiful car ever made. That interior colour is so nice, I had a black e36 m3 sedan with that “Modena” leather. I regret selling it
E39 M5 is one of the greats, absolutely stunning result, great content. If anyone has a Mercedes 190E 2.5 16v evo2 that needs this love that would make a great video, the before and after satisfaction level would be epic.
That isn't work, that's art what you guys are doing! For this era of cars it's totally worth it. My F30 turns 5 in August and the whole car already feels a bit worn out despite me taking a lot of care.
THIS is the single best example I've seen of, you get what you pay for. I only wish I didn't have to drive over 8oo miles to obtain your services. Thanks for sharing this amazing restoration !
@@IAMDetailing I will say this much. I'm often on the auction sites, and most of the BMW's I actually bid on are in CA. If I finally land one, I'll definitely engage your services before they send it up north. Keep up the wonderful content !
Je n'ai jamais vu un travail sur bmw aussi mitic et tres propre cest magnifique de redonner un coup de nouveau a ces belles voitures bravo domage que en Belgique un travail aussi propre nexiste pas encore bravo pour se que vous faites👌👍
The dry ice cleaning happens through the process of sublimation - meaning the solid carbon dioxide (dry ice) goes straight to a gas state, skipping the liquid state, and in turn releasing the surface materials from the underlying structure. No liquids involved at all, and not much risk to electronics if your system is properly working
Thanks Joe! Going to have to take the big camera under more often. Only problem was i had to dry ice clean my Canon R5 after we finished because of all the crap on it lol!
Great car and amazing job. My favorite feature of this car is that when you start it really cold the yellow and red of the rev counter are not yet as far on the dial and then only as it gets warmer and the oil reaches optimal temp the yellow and red move to their normal position. As to remind the driver not to rev it to high with a cold engine. Always good practice. It's the only car that I know of that has that feature. The functionality of that reminds me of my Peugeot 405 M16. Before you started it cold the oil temp gauge would briefly function as an oil level gauge and always showed you if your oil level was oké before taking of and then after starting it would function as an oil temp gauge again. ahhhh the good old days....
A very thorough job. The car looks wonderful. I would only add that to ensure a long lasting finish on the headlights requires sanding with 1000 grit and then sealing with 2k clear coat ( I do realize though, that you are probably not being paid to go to this degree of refinishing).
Your programs are really interesting, yes, thanks for those videos. y un saludo a esos trabajadores amigos latinos que veo allí buen trabajo mis panas.

very good video, congratulations!! I have a question, my blue bmw has those scratches that are orovicado in the car washes, do those scratches come out with polish? Or do I have to sand it down first? Thanks and keep making restoration videos. 👍🏻

Couldnt agree more - this was peak BMW for sure. Thanks so much for the support! Glad you liked the video
BMW sure has changed, and not for the better.
The looks are going downhill the last years but they drive incredibly good. Still bmw quality.
The styling for me on a premium car as a m5 is nothing you have to scream about, the power is there anyway. Like the old 850 or 750, they are cars for discrete People.
So true! I've got a modern BMW (which I like) but this era was the pinnacle of over-engineering.
