Very informative! My 4 month old dachshund was scratching like crazy! I put some flea powder which didn't work... Then I noticed the skin on his belly was dry and scaly, so I bathed him with baby oil😁 Worked like a bomb!
He was licking his little paws a lot too! Same cause?

Hey Marike. Thank you for watching the video 😀. The one thing I did leave out was a condition known as contact dermatitis, where some dogs can develop an allergic reaction to certain types of surfaces. You would typically see the dry itchiness on the ventral parts of the body, i.e. the tummy, groin and feet. Young dogs' skin barriers are also not always properly developed yet and can therefore be predisposed to drying out, especially in the winter times (like us). But jah, applying some moisture with the baby oil should help prevent dry, cracking skin which in its turn will alleviate the itchiness.
Maybe just check your garden or home for suspicious plants that the dog could have rolled around in, as this sounds like the most likely cause to me in this case. 😊

How about diet ? Most skin itching is Auto Immune and can be solved by changing to a species specific diet. For example in dogs - Raw meat, raw bones and a little fat.
90% of pet food is full of seed oils, sugars, carbs, oxalates and processed chemicals. IT'S THE FOOD...
