So happy to see Tyler James Williams getting all that he deserves. He’s been a staple in my life since childhood. What a talented human!
If he comes to Brazil he won't be able to walk on the streets. People have no ideia how big Everybody Hates Chris is here. Everybody would recognize him.
@@tiburc10I would've been like "Hey little dude from across the street. Let me hold a dollar"😅
@@tiburc10 Aw I love that!
I was like whais that.. lol
Facts
I like how Jason Segel always turns to the person that he's speaking to. It gives an intense feeling and comes off very earnest and endearing. I bet talking to him like this would feel very different.
Having met him in a line of fans once, he’s like this with everyone. Hyperfocuses on the individual and seems to always try to connect with them. Kind guy. Knows what he represents to others and tries to be genuine with them.
a buddy of mine met him at a coffee shop in philly and said he got up and hugged him and they spoke for 20 minutes. sounds like a true genuine guy
I would listen to a Jason Segel podcast. He’s done a few I listen to (Armchair Expert, Conan) and he just comes across as an introspective and earnest person who respects those around him. He’s funny and a storyteller and can help others frame their story. That’s a true talent.
Creepy and charming as he says 😂
you mean like a normal human?
Crazy seeing Tyler and Steven together after TWD
Damn I forgot Tyler was in it🤯
Yeah without a glass door in between them this time
@@bruceturnbull4219😢
I can't remember him in TWD.
@@AngelusHale his name was Noah he got eaten in a revolving door
Who knew that Steven Yuen would turn out to be one of the more successful actors post TWD? I'm very happy for him!!
There’s just something so likable about him in every role
Him and Danai rule the world!
I did. Was just waiting on him 🔥
@@TheGameOverture The amount of disrespect you give Jon Bernthal is crazy!
He and Jon Bernthal are probably top tier. Luckily, they both got out of the show before it became bland.
It’s hard to believe Jason is not mostly recognized for HIMYM
Right?! Somehow “mustache Marshall” comes up in my everyday normal life 😂
Yes, seems that was a bit of rebranding
Nah fr
Nope. Sarah Marshall for me. Never seen FnG or Himym.
@@highcoldstar yeah I don't believe him lol
Can we have a moment of appreciation for Lacey Rose, what a brilliant interviewer! The questions are always so astute and really make these discussions so much more insightful. Love her!
I love her positivity and authenticity and how well she refocuses the conversation after someone goes on a tangent.
Uh huh! She is a really great interviewer though 😊
I agree wholeheartedly. So, where do you get your ideas???
ur amazing i love u
I like her too but her constant "uh huh" to every answer is annoying
Slightly off topic, but I need a roundtable filled with outstanding action/martial art stars/actors. Keanu Reeves, Tom Cruise, Jackie Chan, Donnie Yen, Iko Uwais, Scott Adkins, Jason Statham, ect. I know you can’t get all of them (or perhaps do a part 2 with another batch), but I’d love to see at least some of them interact and speak their minds about action, choreographies, stunts, martial arts, acting, their own experiences/stories, their perspectives on certain things, ect all in one table.
I second this. Gonna need this asap before it’s too late. Now’s the perfect time to do it.
extended childhood lol
@thehollywoodreporter
I'm here for Tyler James Williams! He's brilliant and I can't wait to see him do more drama and comedy!
Agreed. Always been likable
I’m also here 4 Tyler James Williams 2, I have a crush on this handsome man❣️💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤💓🖤
Everybody Hates Chris has brought me such joy. The man is a legend in my book. Im gonna check out his new show
He’ll fidger out a way to keep acting
It's so interesting to hear how heavy this conversation was for being the comedy round table. Especially since the drama actor episode was so light hearted and funny.
Comedians tend to be the heavier of the groups. I have found that some of the funniest people/ actors are the most intense and the dramatic people/actor are usually the funniest most light hearted. They are always dealing with intense situations in their craft so they have to be goofy irl.
True but the line between Drama and Comedy in tv these days is so blurred. Roman Roy is pure comedy he could have had a seat on either of these tables
It's so weird right? But in all honesty, that's how it goes.
Jason complimenting BEEF was so cute and 100% agree with that arc!!
❤ Mo's confidence and perspective
He's earned his place and is NOT shying away from sharing the wisdom in the worldview that he alone brings to this table
@rdothl5 John mulaney is also a stand up comedian? they produce and act in those. They both belong here.
loved when he got into the houston comedy scene too
@rdothl5 it’s called actors roundtable
I like the fact that Tyler James Williams and Steven Yuen had a little walking dead reunion. It’s ironic how Steven was there when Tyler’s character died and now here they are still acting and doing bigger things. 👏🏽
Yess
Many probably didnt catch it but when Tyler said "I dont resonate" at 15:47 I felt that 😂😂
Same
I heard it but he said it between commotion so it got overlooked but I love him for saying it.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I watched it back just to hear it; that's funny AF! I love him for that.
I’m here for Steven. I love how polite and chill he is. After Walking Dead, Mayhem, Nope, Beef. He and his roles get better and better.
If you haven’t seen Invincible you should. His voice acting is on point.
I love these Roundtables. This and Hot Ones are forever my shows. Who is the interviewer? They are ALWAYS on point and so engaging. I want to give her her flowers. She's def my favorite for these Roundtables.
I just love hearing actors, directors, whomever really talk about their passion of the craft. It’s engaging than typical talk shows.
-and hot ones is awesome
Lacey Rose is great ❤
Why do I feel differently, for me she presents herself to be somewhat obtuse. Saying “Sure, yea yea” when the actor clearly places something out to either be redirected with reflection on the interviewers part or redirected to ask from that the thoughts others may share. Idk maybe I am imagining it.
@@sLaPQx @I felt the same way. It's because she has to asks the questions she has written down and so when trying to move on she sounded dismissive. She did it to Mo specifically, but I'm sure she didn't mean it, it's literally just that, that she has to follow the pre written question
@@sLaPQx I came here looking for this comment. Mo made a great point about wanting to be viewed as an artist, and not have his ethnicity or colour be brought into it, and all she said was "Sure, sure. Yeah" and then switched topics. I cringed SO hard. Such bad listening and so tone deaf.
Great roundtable! Tyler and Steven are always a win! Love Mo and Jason, and I’m glad John is recovering. Great careers to study and great insight.
Bwahaha that reaction shot of Tyler James Williams at 12:23 is straight out of Abbott Elementary
I was thinking the same thing 😂
I was hoping someone else caught this 😅
I was very curious to know what was going through his mind right then.
Tyler James Williams is only 30, but because he's been in this industry for so long, when he speaks you can hear that experience.
I would love a one-on-one with Steven and Tyler James. That shared history, mutual appreciation, their thoughtfulness is great to see.
Again, kudos to all, including the moderator. Loved this round table.
1000% agree
Jason Segal is the most under rated actor of my generation. His performances are truly extraordinary.
I am loving Shrinking so much.
Shrinking was EPIC
Waiting for season 2 patiently😫
Yes!
Lmao
Love MO’s comment at the end, “same time next week? This feels really therapeutic”
As a viewer and movie fan, I love this series to get to know these folks on a personal level and find a lot of snippets from their stories or thought processes to be very therapeutic for myself.
Beef one of the best shows I've watched in a long time. FInny, emotional, and a think piece.
Jason Segel has been a revelation in Shrinking. The rest of the cast deserve a lot of recognition also. They are all superb.
I know it's a comedy, but his acting in HIMYM was outstanding
I REALLY want to see John Mulaney work with Bill Hader on something in the vein of Barry. Not the plot, but the tone, and the character dissection. John has had a messed up few years and I have no doubt that he has it in him to explore that, and Bill has proved himself more than competent, and we already know they work incredibly well together. Make it happen Hollywood.
I mean, I could see his special "Baby J" as a movie, just the way he laid it out. He would play himself, with some younger actors playing him in the childhood flashbacks, and Bill Hader would star as the doctor at the rehab. Pete Davidson could play the person on duty who busted him for having Outback delivered.

Seeing Mo at this round table made me so happy! Everyone had such wonderful insights. Lacey as always did a wonderful job.
Tyler talking about the close family connection from working in THE WALKING DEAD really hit home for me. Being a die hard fan of the show. Most if not all of the actors from the show say the same thing. They are really close. It’s a family thing. Love that❤️
Everyone did great and MO’s story is so powerful, much respect 🫡
Facts. I wanted to hear more from him but yeah
I just love watching steven yeuns interviews bc he mixes insightful and wise words with humor and his humor is so unique and so him I love it
I love that Tyler brought up his TWD connection with Steven!
12:22 Y’all see Tyler James Williams’s expression go like, “Ah damn, he went there!!” At the mention of Will Smith? 😅 The tea was steeping. Heheheh
Lol yeah
Ha, yep! Nobody wanted to touch that😅 I'd like to think there are responses that got edited out:)
Damn, this is the first one where i feel like I grew up watching every single guest’s work. Usually it’s cross generational, but this one was really cool because they were able to unpack similar personal growth moments and career reflections together.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall is still one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen and I love the muppet opera 😂
Absolutely love that Tyler James Williams it’s being knowledge for the full scope of work he’s done! It also feels my heart to have a walking dead reunion with him and Stephen Yeun. Great table discussion.
Absolutely loved this episode. Jason Segel mentioning 'The End of the Tour' made me so happy.
Awesome movie and his performance was top notch
Watching comedians give each other that deep belly laugh is very heartwarming
Mulaney feels a lot more grounded in this interview than radiant quick-witted self I often see in talk show interviews, and of course, in his stand-up.
These roundtable discussions tend to do that to alot of the guests!
@@jthomas420 that, and rehab
He didn't have to do a quick snort before public appearance now, really happy for him
Sobriety and parenthood
whoever put Steven and Tyler next to each other deserves a raise
The TWD reunion was so nice too see 😭😭and they clearly enjoyed it
What was that pivot @ 14:48 with the "sure...sure..." then going back to talk about likeability to Jason? That was weird AF, Mo had a valid point talking about race and how people try to categorize him because he's from the middle east. It would have been a better response, "So, Mo, how would you say that impacts you when you try to make a connection audiences?" which ties in with the subject of "likeability". It was getting interesting.
was looking for this comment. was def a weird moment.
Glad someone else pointed this out. She definitely refused to engage with some of his responses for some odd reason.
I think maybe she thought (or picked up on?) that he didn't wanna talk about it since he was saying that thinking about it made him tear up, so perhaps she was just trying to avoid making him cry. These interviews aren't really in depths, even if they sometimes go there. I didn't find it THAT odd, even though it would have been interesting to hear more from him.
I thought the same thing. I'm like "Why didn't she follow up on that?". I feel like a lot of things he talked about she glossed over.
@@ThomasMan I'm glad someone else noticed that too. I was a little put off by her not addressing his comments.
I only watched Steven's performances out of all actors. But I feel like Danny is one of the most amazing and NEEDED characters of the year. I absolutely loved his performance and how he portrays anger, depression, and unhappiness. When he said if he played this role earlier it would feel like "the real Steven Yeun is not like that", I find it funny cuz I remember watching it and thought, "damn I like this actor, he actually gets it".
Steven Yuen. That man makes my heart pitter patter in many ways; so glad he's getting more noticeability.
15:42-15:48. LOL TJW saying "I don't resonate" to Jason Segel's, "I am a flawed human being. Hilarious.
Mo Ahmer is 'beloved' Habibi. He has a special story, series, comedy special and I'm glad the Hollywood reporter has elevated it.
Mo: it was about my father getting tortured
Lacy: and moving on to Steven
that was awkward af lmao im sure hegor himself somegood material out of that single moment
Yep. Lacey didn't quite gel there. She had a chance but didn't take it.
Ooof yea, that was awkward
Awkward to say the least.
I love Jason Segal. I heard him talk on the Conan podcast and I loved what he had to say about therapy and depression. He seems like such an amazing human being.
I loved the relatability and vulnerability in this particular round table. I felt everyone was equally heard and they could all identify with eachother. This was excellent casting for this table talk. 👏🏽 👌🏽 👍🏽 🙌🏽
I love Tyler James SM especially from Let it shine which is a severally underrated Disney channel movie
Steven Yeun is such an incredible actor
12:42 damn did Jason hit the nail on the head here. He just summed up the whole problem with how Hollywood operates. The business side has completely overtaken the creative side and it shows in the projects the studios are willing to finance.
Steven is so precious. Protect him at all costs
what a great roundtable. so they glad they have lacey rose on the 2023 roundtables. please keep her and the other questions asked around the table were so great
I will watch any movie or show that features Steven Yeun as he is a great actor and I enjoy watching him perform.
I need more Jason and John interaction
This whole conversation felt connected and respectful but when Jason looked at Mo and asked, "Was it fun?" about working on Black Adam. My heart. 💜Same time next week please.
just give all awards to Steven Yuen this year! Brilliant he was in Beef!!! And Mo , love from Htown.. such an amazing show
It would be cool to see them all in a project together. Some of the most level headed actors I've seen at this table in a while!
The moment I’ve been waiting for! Steven Yeun & Tyler James William at Round Tables!
Can we just pause and give Lacey her damn flowers, every year she masterfully conducts these interviews! Shout out to her!👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
... and whoever was refilling her bottomless cup of coffee!
@@petergivenbless900 I’m assuming it’s herbal tea 😉 sounds like she has a cold
“Mmmhm” “yeah” “yep”
This line up is insane 😳
Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I Love You Man will be the most quoted videos of all time between me and my brothers. Thank you Jason.
If Graham Norton ever hosted a table like this, the conversations would be epic. He draws out funny stuff for his talk show but I bet he could get such creative insights if given this type of platform.
I love this idea
I really love seeing John Mulaney. I want him to do well.
Tyler is so far beyond his years! Such an insightful young man, truly a pleasure to be able to watch this. Digressing a bit here but ironically to what was discussed here, I can’t hear anything other than “Peter Porker” from John 😂
I just want to say how grateful I am that these thoughtful, vulnerable, emotionally present conversations - especially amongst men - are being modeled by actors so present in the public eye. I hope seeing actors & celebrities normalize it continues the cultural shift toward recognizing the strength in sharing weaknesses & truth & *gasp* feelings. Kudos to Lacey for her interviewing and all of them for their willingness to share this.
Tyler speaks so gracefully and meticulously! I love the way he speaks
This was such a great interview. I love these round tables. I’m learning about new actors and new works.
Jason Segel and Steven Yeun are amazing actors!
Jason Segel is my favorite actor and comedian ever he has been for a long time. He just seems like a really nice guy and he's hilarious. I haven't seen a movie or show with him in it that I haven't liked.
So happy to see Mo on this panel, so proud of you man!! 🥹
Steven yeun is such a great actor. Love him so much.
Lacey is a master interviewer. Flows with the conversation, decorates it, and takes up exactly the right amount of space to let magic happen.
Some actors portray their real pain through the lens. I could tell Tyler was struggling with letting go when I watched that TWD scene. Made the scene 100% believable…but made you (as a viewer) “break the 4th wall” and feel bad for the actor instead of the character.
I truly felt bad for HIM because he wouldn’t have that job anymore. 😅 so weird that he brought that up!
This is a great roundtable! All these actors are ballers.
Special shoutout to Jason. Its great seeing him again
I love Tyler! Great to see him here ❤
Steven Yeun is crazy talented !!
Big fan of both Jason and Steven so seeing that they have chemistry together is really nice. Also shoutout to the host of these videos she is fantastic at her job and clearly does her research.
Wonder what Tyler james Williams was thinking when they panned to his face after Mo talked about Will Smith. Since he knew Chris Rock for years, playing him in Everybody Hates Chris.
Lol yeah
Mine names Paul that's between yall
They are picking these tables with great chemistry fr
It makes me so happy that I can finally say I've watched each special/show they have sat down to talk about, and I've loved each one.
So glad that Mo is in this lineup! Such a funny guy.
YES RECOGNITION FOR JASON!!! My favorite performer of the last decade
😅 0:52
when i saw the other actors round table i was like “they could never do this with comedians cuz they would all try to talk over eachother”. pleasingly surprised
NONE OF THESE PEOPLE ARE COMEDIANS IMO.
Happy to see Mo get the recognition he deserves 🎉
i thought the drama roundtable this year was a great collection of actors but man, what a group. watched immediately and wasn't disappointed
I love Jason Segel and I think everyone else should, too
1:49 yess so i true, i stopped watching twd when glenn died but after like a year or two i started watching again and now i’ve finished the show, it’s just a very dear and special show to me since i’ve been watching it every night every week for like 8 years, and glenn was one of my favorite characters so when he died i was soo mad
Steven, Mo and John?!! This is unreal! Thanks for posting
I LOVE SHRINKING SOOOO MUCH!! Rewatched it 2x
12:24 Tyler James Williams 🤣🤣🤣🤣 this mans comedic timing is impeccable
loved Mo’s show, Steven and also Tyler James Williams
I admit I've never heard of Mo before... but he's instantly becoming a favorite and inspiring person for me
absolutely thick of nick from freaks and geeks when i think of jason segel, or see him. i had the biggest crush on him when my mom started showing me that series
Steven and Tyler reunited !
I love this format now. you guys let the actors really talk to one another and their experiences of having roles and so forth. where before it felt forced to get answers and especially with that one guy constantly interrupting everyone was awful , this lets everyone breathe and express much better
There’s no way Jason Segels doesn’t get recognized most for HIMYM but he doesn’t seem to like that part of his career too much :(
What is that?

What a great group!
If Mo would have stopped talking so much while saying absolutely nothing it would have been perfect.
I never had any desire to watch The Walking Dead until now knowing Tyler James Williams and Steven Yeun are in it.
It's still not worth it. They both (especially steven) have way better roles.
@@FullMetalB it 100% is worth it?

I think it’s def worth it but seasons 7-10 aren’t that great. And Glenn and Noah (Steven and Tyler) deaths are very hard too watch as they are quite brutal.
Brilliant panel. Excellent conversation. Cheers!
I love how insightful each one is.
Tyler! Getting the recognition he deserves. Guess everybody doesn't hate Chris. And I definitely stopped watching TWD after Glenn was murdered.
