Just installed mine. For others info, you have to have someone push down on the side rails while you install the bed clamps to make sure they are flush against the bed rails. That weatherstrip going along the siderails should be flattened.
I just ordered one today... I had the BAKFLIP MX4 on my Silverado and now they are around $1000 I found this and said for $700 I'm in!!!! I got the RAM Laramie in HYDRO BLUE its a nice truck. Good luck with the cover LOOKS MINT!!!
So a couple of days later I did in fact pull the left rear bracket and ground down the SynecticUSA bedrail where it hit the Sierra handhold mount. Now bedcover sits flat on the truck bedrail like it is supposed to :)
Installed my retractable Synetic today. Took a lot longer than an hour ha ha. My 2021 GMC Sierra has factory handhold for getting in the bed. Bedcover rail touches the mounting bracket and causes a very small gap at the tail gate. When I say small I mean small. Filled the gap with clear silicon. Could have ground that part of the bedcover rail so it would fit flat but frankly by the time I saw the issue I was much too tired to deal with it. At some point I will pull that clamp and grind it down to do it right but for now think we are good to go.
Nice! I do have issues with the clamps though a little different. The middle clamps don’t seat perfectly and after a few thousand miles work themselves loose. Next time I’ll add thread locker and see if that helps. A buddy of mine also suggested finding a matching nut to add on end of thread
Question... how strong are the locks? If you don't have it closed all the way (ex. open slightly to run a power cord running from bed to a trailer) can you push the cover open with force?
I’ll reach out. My rubber stops at the end of the bed have broken so I also need some replacement parts. Have you tried their FB page? Link below facebook.com/SyneticUSA/
Negative there are two punch out plastic films near the front bottom of the bed. I did have to drill them but you can identify them by the gasket around them
@@RossMalagarie Hard roll up to me is the best. Theres an above bed hard lockable roll up cant remember the brand but thats awesome since its easy to remove.
Ain't nothing wrong with Made in China. Look at BAK industries products. Only good thing with the over priced big names are the fine line lifetime warranties. I'm only gonna have this truck for a few years so I'll roll that dice.

Yessir!
I saw down on the rails why I used a sticker to tighten them! Hope you like it. I’m 8 months in and no issues!

Excellent review! I have been looking at several different versions on Amazon. Have a great day!
Thank you glad I helped!
Really nice truck. A sliding cover was the best thing I ever bought for my truck
Just use silicone all the way around and please paint those bolts on top of the canister.
I like mine a lot, the competitors were 2 and 3 times the price.

Your side seals should be completely flat, then you'll bet set.
Great review 👍🏽
Nice work. I have a question. The website says this tonneau cover is 220lb. Is that true?
Heck no! Probably 70lbs at most! It probably means to say it can support 220lbs. I've crawled on it closed but I wont do it again.

Negative they hold where they’re lock but do have about an inch each way of play
What's that rubber claps called I'm trying to get some cuz the ones it came with I think wore out so now it doesn't lock anymore

I'm about to pull the gun on this one but my question is does it flap in the wind while driving or is pretty solid like a trifold?
Man it’s silent no flap at all! Solid like the trifold.
@@goatk1 noice man I'm a have to order one then looks clean good video!
Mine rattles over 50 mph, waiting to hear back from the company for a solution.
@@timgrubbs1792, did you ever figure out the rattle. Mine rattles and it’s annoying.
Yes it was that rubber piece that was hanging over the front of the bed. I trimmed it and the flapping stopped.
how did you make your holes in your bed ? i have a spray on bedliner and no holes for the water hose , just wondering did you use a hole saw ?
Negative there are two punch out plastic films near the front bottom of the bed. I did have to drill them but you can identify them by the gasket around them
you ever confirmed the tailgate don't leak after you moved it more toward the rear? Did you use a water hose and confirm no leaks?
No leaks whatsoever. Just have to make adjustments and test once you got it it’s good.
@@goatk1 thanks man. I am trying to decide between a hard tri-fold, a retractable, or a hard roll-up. Thanks for the video and info.

@@goatk1 thanks still doing my research 😎👍
What's the discount code you used?
It’s on Amazon it’s 5% off
Send them a message and they may give you an additional 10% off as well. They hooked my buddy up and he got it under $500
Is the cover strong enough to stand on it?
If it’s rated, I can’t find it. They advertised the cover is good for 200lbs. I’m 225 and on it every 2 weeks washing my roof.
I just got one today. How hard was it to assemble and install?
First cover install ever. I have tools and work with my hands from time to time and it took me an hour.
where can you order one at ?
Amazon or their website
SyneticUSA ...
aka made in China...LOL
