The auto hubs will lock in forward and reverse. Only when the front axle turns, the hubs will lock. Downside is when going from fwd to reverse and vice versa, the hub will unlock and lock again on change of direction. I believe they are designed for if you get stuck unexpectedly, you can engage the transfer case and drive out without getting out and locking hubs. When I off road in mine, I always manually lock the hubs as I also believe the hubs can get damaged from going back and forth aggressively, or hub re-engaging with extra load on the driveline etc.

great to see, Bullet looks big sitting on the trailer with 40" tyres, even made the 79 look smaller. I've had tow hitchs that were in tight areas with stuff above the handle before, you learn to look for the best possible spots to unhook and hook up so that you don't bust your hands or run out of room for the release to work, it's a bugger and can be a painful experience. can't wait to see the carnage in the next video

I happy with my TJM suspension on my ranger had it on there for well over a year now 35000km on it hasn’t missed a beat or sagged very happy for the price.
Will you be using TJM suspension with your portal axle build ?

Hey mate you can buy a manual hub conversion kit which swaps back to same hub that was on your old cruiser, you can’t just swap hubs over as spindle needs to swapped

Love the red arc products I have used them for years just wondering why you would run it on user and not proportional? Towing Carravan’s I find the proportional setting allows me to set and forget I don’t have to re adjust for the highway and slow town driving. I’ve found to have enough braking on the highway is way to high for slow town driving

Probably because im an old stubborn controlling dinosaur, hahahaha.. Maybe next time I tow the jayco ill try it, I remember not liking it last time I towed with Chelles fortuner on proportional, maybe because it was real hilly country we were in....

@@TeamBulletOffroad I’ve come across a few of you haha but I’ll teach you and yeah the hills can be a bit tricky with proportional because it has extra inertia coming down the hills but saying that you can turn it up and down the same as you can in user mode, what I have found it works best at you can set the high point of your braking force for what you are generally needing but when you are only crawling through town or onto a campsite your trailer brakes aren’t jerking you every time you touch the brake pedal by the way all your rigs are really coming alone nicely I don’t know how you find time
