I've been trying to get over someone who promised me marriage, was looking for engagement rings, he wanted kids with me, he would say I was the love of his life every day... and I can go on. It all looked very real to me. Of course, there were signs I didn't want to confront. We were together for 10 months until I asked him.. why wasn't he introducing me to his family? He came to see me and said he was married and cried for like 3 hours, saying he didn't want me to leave him. Not only was he married, but when I asked him how many kids he had, he said the wife was 6 months pregnant with their first!! They had been married for 6 years... extremely unfortunate for me, I had no strength or enough self-worth to walk away then and sticked around for another 1.5 years because i loved him and he had depression and suicidal ideation. He left me in December 2022. I made so many mistakes, and I haven't been able to stop grieving how shocking it all was... thanks for this!
