I am praying to all the plant gods that you upload once a week in 2024. You are already better than 90% of plant UA-camrs. (No shame to those sad-slow-talkers, but I need your talent to thrive this year!)
Fun tip! I used to work at a pool shop and found this out when working there, If you leave the water jug for about 24 hours, all the chlorine in the water will burn off. Your stress coat is good if you're wanting to use it instantly or sooner than 24 hours though :) Also I LOVE your videos and personality 💕🪴🌱🌿
I just love watching you and listening to you and I really learn so much from you in just a short amount of time, I wish your videos were longer! But I get it, you are so very busy and I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts, and your plant journey with me!! Keep wiggling around my friend and I love the idk 🤷♀️ “Stanley and Ollie “walking around stuff you do! Thank you, Ginger! You are so kind for sharing ❤. This was going to originally be a much longer video but I decided to cut it into two parts otherwise it would have taken me sooo much longer to share hahaha. Glad you enjoyed it 🫶
I always watch your shorts but never the long videos. I loved this so so much. I felt like I was there just watching you work and totter around with your plants. It was so so relaxing to me. I went through a long depressive episode again that lasted months this time. I lost so many plants again. I got everything cut back, cleaned and watered on the 5th of this month. I did lose so many plants though. It was upsetting to see what my mental health consequence was this time around. But I’m trying to breathe and be patient and loves the ones still holding on. Watching your video was just so peaceful to me and relaxing and brings me hope of growth and life. Thank you for taking the time, effort and dedication recording, editing and posting so we can watch your journey with your plants. This video just hit me today and I really needed it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
This made me tear up! I’m so glad it brought you some peace (although im shocked my chaotic energy and videos brought peace haha). I appreciate you taking the time to share this 🫶
❤ the longer video! But please don’t stop doing the short videos, they are hilarious 😆 ❤ What if you got one of those plant trays/saucers on wheels and use it for your 5 gallon water bottle?
I love your videos because your life is just like mine…chaotic lol! Plant chores are always at midnight once the kids are asleep and everything else is done! 🫠
I don't know why people comment complaining about things like wiggling your fingers and such. I love everyone's own uniqueness, own personalities ❤❤. I guess if these things bother someone, then don't watch? I really love your videos!
I'm falling in love with clear pots! They're so good for seeing moisture levels, root health, if they're becoming root-bouund, etc. But also I just love the aesthetic of being able to see soil and roots 🪴 I'm also making checklists of which plants need which care specifics. Eg: water when dry, water with distilled water, refill the water tray with distilled water (my carnivores) etc. That way I won't miss any
Most of the soil is from Sol Soils (MICHELLE10 is a discount code): solsoils.com?sca_ref=3172733.oCeRoFRzJr I use the houseplant mix the most and I also have their succulent and cacti mix as well as some amendments like their perlite and LECA.
@@ohtheplacesyoullgrow Yeah! Saw that in your shorts! Extra chunky Perlite! It's hard to find something like that in South Korea..😓 Thank you so much for the link! Hope to see your next vid! 🥰🥰

I love your long-form videos! I laughed at "Someone told me that Bird's Nest Ferns should not be watered in the middle of the 'nest'"... do they carry an umbrella in nature? too funny!
Probably my favorite content to look forward to on YT 😍 you watered your 5 gallon next to the hose but didn’t put the gallon closer to your door so you didn’t have to carry it all the way 😂😂

I was keeping my plants on a weekly watering schedule, just a little bit every week, when I had my baby tear plant (I watered that much heavier) just so I wouldn't forget about anyone lol. I finally got sick of the high maintancence plant and got rid of it, now I haven't watered for like a month, I kept waiting for the tiny bit of wilt and found it on Friday, I took all my plants (I only have 6 at the moment, have room for a couple more) down from their shelves and hangers and put them in the tub for a shower and deep water. I think they are liking this much more, its keeping them from getting too dusty in my bird room and they have some time to dry out, something two of them like to do. I was a little worried about the Pothos because I was always told they don't like to dry out but mine seemed fine and they weren't even the one that was droopy lol. Today I'm going to trim some of the longer vines and start them rooting for a friend who is hopefully going to come visit in May. I'll be on the lookout for my next two I can add, one needs to be ok hanging in a west facing window, the other needs to be ok with low light. Hopefully I find something good come spring!
@@ohtheplacesyoullgrowyes they have been super happy lately! I just gave them a haircut and am rooting the pieces to give to a friend hopefully in May, she moved recently and had to leave her plants with the new owners until spring and they are not plant people, she’s so sad! I hope some of them survive cause she has some beautiful plants
Saw your post yesterday and couldn’t wait for the video release. Gained a lot of knowledge from your videos. I have a 45 year old jade plant and I suspect it has soft root rot but soil is dry and in a premium mix I water it 2-3 weeks and in a south window. Any suggestions, even people in the comments!
I love when you upload. You have just a wonderful personality and expertise with the plants and video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and never change! I'm currently traveling for work and don't have a home base but I can't wait to have a space to fill with plants. 😄💚

Haha how do you even sleep in the living room with those light on😆 The jug is a great idea, especially if you'd buy or make a dolly (plank with wheels) to put under it.. Saves you some pulling :) I have one for moving heavy stuff, for now I can move my bigger plants on my own but once they size up more I can just put them on the dolly if I want to move them outside in the rain for example
I can’t ever just water a plant either lol. I watered a burro tail I had forgotten about last night only to discover, a colony of odorous house ants had decided to move into it. Literally hundreds of them came out the drainage hole with the excess water carrying eggs and babies 😖 had to check and take every plant off the rack and start treating the room

So I’ve SINCE learned that you’re only supposed to apply on 1-2 nodes at a time because it takes quite a bit of energy to produce those leaves. Let me know how it goes!

@ohtheplacesyoullgrow lollll. Don't sweat it. Sometimes we just need a different perspective to see things differently. Your shorts vids are hilarious too btw.
I do have plants in semi hydro but I actually am considering moving them back to soil. I’m getting over the whole flushing LECA business. My plants actually don’t need to be watered too often. For me it’s a QUANTITY issue. I likely need to downsize my collection 🙈
Hi. Love your videos. I want to share this with everyone. Ive had plant collections on and off for for 40+ yrs. I've learned a lot in the past 5 yrs from trial/error and videos. Everyone wants someone to give them a quick fix to their current plant problem(s). People it's not that easy because they are not in your environment; please stop asking for specific advise. Read, watch, try, fail and learn. Why do you think the care guides are different depending on what you are reading/watching. Its maily trial and error. Do you not HEAR influencers saying to learn YOUR environment. I once was one of those that bought everything I saw someone using. Nope does not work like that. Probably the biggest thing i learned; i can't grow all plants (150+ collection). I give it the 2x try and then I'm done, its not for me.its a great and fun hobby. There are no short cuts, easy fixes or one size fits all for these living things that we are trying to force to live indoors in millions of different environments. Take all videos and other forms of information as a guideline and then tailor to your situation. Failures are opportunities to learn. Relax and enjoy❤ Gods beautiful wonders.
I admire how you get so much done! Please, never get a mother of thousands (Kalanchoe daigremontiana). So easy to propagate that will fire back to your need for propagation. Or will act like an intervention 😆
I do both! That’s what the container is for. It bottom waters simultaneously. Overwatering has to do with frequency not quantity of watering so I like this method as well.
@@ohtheplacesyoullgrow so I tried it. My plants are still alive. Thank you baby Jesus! BUT I had some left in the sprayer & sprayed later…OMG…don’t ever leave anything left over. It smelled sooooooo bad. 🤣☹️💩
I am! It’s part of my standard watering recipe. It’s not a softener but a solution that removes chlorine and choline. With it, my calatheas stopped needing distilled water and getting crispy edges. ALTHOUGH, I will say the crispy edges came back but that is because it got spider mites and I had to do multiple soaks and showers with tap water that reluctantly also watered the plants 🙈
"For all have sinned and come (fall) short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our LORD." Romans 6:23 "But God commendeth (demonstrated) His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 "That if thou shalt confess with your mouth the LORD Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him (Jesus) from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved." Romans 10:13 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by (through) me." John 14:6
I have been wondering about using stress coat for watering! I'm so tired of refilling water gallons at the grocery store. 🫠 Is the aloe in it ok to go into other plants?
I am proud of myself; I made it through (part 1 of) the plant tour without meeting a plant I "need" to get! Is this just because I have so very many plants already? 🐐 💚🪴💚

Well said! Everything I share is what works for me in my environment and it’s all about learning your plants and your environment 🙌
I admire how you get so much done! Please, never get a mother of thousands (Kalanchoe daigremontiana). So easy to propagate that will fire back to your need for propagation. Or will act like an intervention 😆
HAHAHHAHA noted!!!
I would love an update in the node part please 6:50
I posted one on my most recent video!
I’m curious to know if the keiki paste worked on the VSOH nodes since it’s been 8 months since this video was posted 🤔
Hi! It 100% did work, but I did end up chopping it to propagate
@@ohtheplacesyoullgrow Ohh right on! Great to know cause I’ve been on the fence about picking some up for myself to try out~ Thanks 💚
I really like your videos, I live in Italy, the products you suggest don't exist. ❤
I’m glad you enjoy them! Ahh I hear that many of the stuff I use is not as readily available elsewhere
Love your videos! Wish you could come to my house and help me fix some of my plants 😅
lol thank you!
4:48 when i water i let it absorb at the bottom so it absorbs what it needs so i wont overwater
I do both! That’s what the container is for. It bottom waters simultaneously. Overwatering has to do with frequency not quantity of watering so I like this method as well.
Apparently, your gnat drops can't be shipped to my state of Washington. Do you have any other recommendations?
Oh no! Hmmmm if you can find mosquito bits, it’s the same active ingredient. You make a “tea” with it and water plants.
Can you use “recharge instant compost tea,” mosquito bits, & “hasta grow?” Together in a gallon sprayer for plants???
I’ve never personally used all that together so I can’t speak on it!
@@ohtheplacesyoullgrow so I tried it. My plants are still alive. Thank you baby Jesus!
BUT I had some left in the sprayer & sprayed later…OMG…don’t ever leave anything left over. It smelled sooooooo bad. 🤣☹️💩
Are you still using the water softener and if so what are the major differences you've seen?
How many times do you hit your legs with your bed frame..? I had a similar one and would always bang my legs with the corners 🤬
Ive never had that issue! Haha
Does the pump you use have a filter built in?
It does not! It just draws the water up
Is that 4 tablespoons or teaspoons for the stress coat ?
I used whatever dosage is suggested on the bottle!
I am confused. Where do you buy the liquid gnat killer. I can only find links to little pieces of gnat killer. Help please if someone knows.
It’s linked in my description!
I think more than thirsty they are stressed because of no watering for long.
Some for sure
+1
Welcome 💛
To bad for yadayada752 , i enjoy you moving your fingers and toes and whatever else you want to wiggle
Its YOUR videos
🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶🦶
Does your family help you water them when you're gone? Or do you not trust them to water them right?😂
I actually just set up my plants to self-sustain when we go on vacation. Occasionally I’ll ask a friend to plant sit a few plants 💛
Please keep making noises and wiggle waggling your fingers and toes. Fingers and TOES! ❤😂🎉😊
🤜🤛
Jesus love you

I have been wondering about using stress coat for watering! I'm so tired of refilling water gallons at the grocery store. 🫠 Is the aloe in it ok to go into other plants?
I haven’t had any issues with it!
I am proud of myself; I made it through (part 1 of) the plant tour without meeting a plant I "need" to get! Is this just because I have so very many plants already? 🐐

LOL it might be! Releasing part 2 tomorrow though so jury’s still out haha
