“Enough rope” is another classic from Knight. Thanks for reacting to this. Chris is from Kentucky, but is a living legend in Tx. He’s known as your favorite songwriters’ favorite songwriter down here.
Thank you so much for reacting to this. Atmospheric is a way to describe this song. I can just see a spring fed river with tall bluffs, evening fog laying on the water, two brothers in a johnboat. The unresolved grief and need for justice (In his mind. I know it is revenge) really paints a picture for me.
Gotta do Framed or It Ain’t Easy Being Me. He lives about 15 minutes from me in western Kentucky. Been a fan my whole life. So damn cool to see someone reacting to him!! Thank you sir!
This is why I subscribed. I doubt that there are many other YT reaction channels out there who would have so perfectly nailed the whiskey in hand, low light vibe so early on. I watched this reaction with Gentleman Jack, so I completely agree.
I never heard this artist before. It's definitely a country feel but his voice and the song reminds me a little bit of Bruce Springsteen's voice and a song he would do as well. Very much outlaw country, in certain parts of the south(and to fair other remote small town areas)it's still an eye for an eye mentality. So this story would not be impossible to have occurred st some point. Very gritty voice, that wouldn't require more than acoustic sound.
I just discovered this song a week ago, and I've studied it dozens of times already. There are multiple versions of it. The DualTone version seems to be the one with the killer slide guitar. Trying to find out more about that. I lost my younger brother almost 2 years ago and that is definitely "still heavy on my mind". If I could sneak up on cancer, and put a bullet in it I would indeed. My new favorite song,. Thanks for calling attention to it and this fantastic artist! Best of luck to you!
This reminds me of a fairly new one by Chris Janson with Eric Church, written by Church - You, Me , and the River. Here’s the link: ua-cam.com/video/EQ7ShhkEdMs/v-deo.html I also suggested another by Chris Janson a few days ago - Drunk Girl. Great review Craig! ♥️♥️
I like watching your reactions and i dont watch many others , you should do reaction on while west outlaws Billy the Kid. There are some songs I can turn on do but there’s some short stories as well.

I love playing this song after a long day out fishing right as the sun starts to set and the banks get dark. You described it perfectly.

He’s written songs with and for Canadas finest, Fred Eagle Smith.
The song is about revenge against the men who murdered his brother
