Most fans would start with Claire first if they're doing multiple run-throughs anyway. Save Leon for that second run since in the original Clarie A/Leon B makes more sense given the timeline as of 2019. That game is still canon to the series. While RE2make is certainly amazing, they

Thank you for reviewing this! Being a huge Resident Evil fan I hope that your very large fan base watches this review and gives Capcom the money they deserve. Who knows maybe they'll remake RE3 which is my personal favorite!!
Video game remakes do often tend to be better than the original, and this is no exception. This is my favorite Resident Evil Game. It is the perfect blend of everything I love about the franchise.
Played this game to death on the PS1 over 21 yrs ago & I'll play hell out of this adaption which looks awesome although got wait until my birthday on 14th February. If Chris rates this that's good enough for me.
Its amazing. Yes I played thg e OG so many times! Happy early bday mine February 6th. I couldn't wait I bought as a early bday present to myself. Enjoy it when you get it! Also get the classic music
@@jaydoode15 Be awesome if Nemesis got same treatment I can't wait, ditto played em on PS1 in fact I had PS1 Christmas 96 with Resident Evil & Tomb Raider, I was meant go to a party but became so addicted playing it I didn't go.
Hey Chris. Are you gonna make a How To Train Your Dragon 3 review? I'm really looking forward for one. I'd like to know your thoughts on this new and final film of the trilogy.
I love the game, but it has two glaring flaws: 1. Claire and Leon speak to each other far less than the original game. They are still strangers by the end of the game. 2. The "2nd run" makes zero sense plot wise. Game feels like a really great remake of both characters A scenarios. I wish they weren't character swaps in some parts.
I am liking it, but it is also stressing me out. I wish that I could be as able in playing horror movies as I am at watching them. But the panic Chris mentioned is not always a good thing when it makes you not want to play. Got to when I could see rooms in front of me were kennel and morgue, that I had to look online to not lose my mind. Collecting myself to do another run after I fear that I used too much ammo. Don't know how I will handle Nemesis after a zombie pulling that doorway trick on me already really freaked me out.
Knowing how much of a fan Chris is for horror movies, it feels so nice to see him, for once, be able to have something new in the horror genre that's actually good. It's great getting to see him properly nerd out about a new, great experience.
I enjoy your contents Chris. From movie reviews to game reviews. But this is the funniest by far IMO. I agree with you on your thoughts about games being $60 a pop and Mr. X. In fact, I couldn’t expressed it better myself lol. Keep up the awesome work!
I know this comment is late but need to get this across. I'm glad you reviewed more games recently Chris. First of all, it is refreshing to see a non professional game reviewer (with all due respect) review a video game. Your take is more raw and pure, and not as structured and professional as other video game journalist. Secondly, I just feel that you are happier when you review the game. You light up (although maybe because the recent games you play have been excellent games, curious when you play a less than decent game). But again it is just good to see it. Whatever it is, hope to see more video games reviews in the future!
LMAO your reaction to mister X is great. What a fun and thrilling addition to this game. Chris! About your nitpick!! Just turn up the lighting/saturation in settings. I was playing Ada in Leon's campaign in a spot that was nearly pitch black and I kept dying due to lack of ammo to kill zombies and an inability to SEE. Frustrating! But turning the brightness up did not distort the image, it just brightened it right up. Problem solved. The game should have suggested a higher brightness in the beginning settings yes, but a simple solution either way. I've been having a blast as well. Currently on a B playthrough with Clair myself. (Started with Leon) And I will say you definitely need multiple playthroughs to get the full enjoyment. Have fun man!
Great game.played it almost 10hrs already. So damn addictive! plus i dont need to force myself to play it... I used to buy every game under the sun, and start them and never finish them. :( So now I've had to give up open world games.knowing im not going to finish them ever.and a few other titles. So i finally traded in RDR2, Assassins creed orgins,Spiderman, Far cry 5 and 4, Batman Arkham Knight,Dead rising 4 and a bunch of other games,God of war. knowing i will not finish them. Only keep the ones that are classics, that i know ill finish more then once. Like Halos,Resident Evils,Uncharted's,Gears of war,Mortal Kombat's. Great review!
I completely agree with you here. I loved this game and it actually reignited my love for the series. Once I get done my second playthrough, I’m going to go back and play Resident Evil 0, the first Resident Evil, Resident Evil 4 and then Resident Evil 7. It’s cold and snowy right now and I’m not going anywhere for awhile!
My wife and I have been playing all night and weekend under both our gamertags. We've made it to Ada's part under my gt and in the jail under her gt. Love it just as much as the original.
I enjoy the unpredictability the game throws at veterans and newcomers. I could get RE7 and just from remembering the Let’s play’s I’ve seen on normal mode, I could probably get through it relatively safely besides the ship part because organized preparations by memory obviously I can’t really explain it well. Besides memorize, plan or strategize, prepare, and execute. Boom! RE7 is easy. RE2remake ohhhhh no. I have no idea, I have fragments of a strategy, but the zombies returning are a serious roadblock (or I could just shoot their legs), the lickers are a major roadblock, do as much clean up as I possibly can before triggering Mr. X because it’s better to take care of things before having an inconvenient, unstoppable being chase you down most of the time. And yes that’s the point. these aren’t complaints, I’m scared because I don’t know the best course to tackle this game. This remake is really good at what it is: SURVIVAL HORROR.
I loved how it keeps you on your toes. I've never really played completely through a Resident Evil game, although I've played bits and pieces throughout the years whenever I went over to my friends. I loved how the game appealed to the loot hoarder/resource management side of me, because I'm certainly a person that will explore every avenue to gain every advantage that I can. I love how every person talks about how scarce ammo is, but I never had a problem with ammo and I was pretty much popping every single zombie that I saw, that I could kill, even on standard difficulty. Now that could just be because I figured out what weapon was best for each situation, but I felt very in control of every situation that I came up against. Regular zombie? Use 1 hi-powered 9mm bullet to guarantee a kill and peace of mind when exploring sections. Lickers? Use the grenade launcher and fire 2 rounds. Boss fights and sewer monsters? Regular 9mm Pistol and SMG to the eyes. I was cruising along the game quite nicely and although the game had scares, like I said, I felt like I was in control of every situation I came up against. And then... I opened a door and walked in to face Mr. Hazmat stuck on the glass in the vine habitat, and I immediately had a shiver go up my spine when I realized I had to go in there to get his access wristband. And then it got worse when I walked over to the door and heard some of the most chilling noises that I had heard the entire game. It got worse when I go in and face the vine zombies or whatever they were. Oh they're terrifying for sure, but my Spark Shot with it's upgrade will take care of everything, no problem. Fire one shot, charge fully, vine monster goes down... Rinse repeat, until... Wait, they aren't dying. They go down temporarily but... I can't kill them... The thought of the loss of control over my situation really terrified me, and I hate whoever came up with the vine monsters. In a good way though. It's been a very long time since I was wholly terrified by a game.
@@Egurius3 I read that note. I tried to burn them. The vineys in the first hallway that you encounter them had a few flame rounds spent on them, and I know I put like 3 rounds into one of the vineys. I came back and both of them were still alive. I never was grabbed by them, but the entire fear factor was knowing that I didn't really have the resources to burn them all. Maybe that changes with Leon, as he does get a flamethrower and I haven't finished his campaign. I actually found Claire's SMG to be a really good weapon against the vineys. When I entered the enclosure and the ones on the ceiling dropped down, they all got pretty close and I used the Spark Shot to down all of them, and as I was exploring the different areas and traversing to input the access hatch code, I specifically saw the little orange sacs regen in front of my eyes while it was "dead" (downed) and by using a few pistol rounds here and there I delayed them from getting up on a couple of occasions, and also was able to easily spray them down head to toe when they were alive and trying to get me. All in all though, I loved how the vineys had to be dealt with by shooting all the growths on them, and I only figured that out because of my fear of them getting back up after I realized that they "don't die." I can't imagine being the person that shoots zombies in the head and then finds out that shooting them 10 or so times doesn't kill them, LOL.

Most fans would start with Claire first if they're doing multiple run-throughs anyway. Save Leon for that second run since in the original Clarie A/Leon B makes more sense given the timeline as of 2019. That game is still canon to the series. While RE2make is certainly amazing, they
John McCullough Leon is my favourite ever since Re4. But Claire is awesome too.
Mr X is my favorite husbando.
Choke me daddy X
No wall can keep us apart :D
Aww man, that smile at 1:39 is so sweet. Made my day to see you so enjoy this game so much.
Chris reviews games? I just discovered something new today haha
And Anime also, has done for a while though it's not what he's known for. Mostly he's known for his nuanced take on movie reviews.
He does. I love his rage on Superman N64
Jordan Tan this isn’t even the first game he’s reviewed recently
Chris my go to guy for movie reviews, we only go watch it on the big screen if Chris says so haha
It's pretty rare. Same with his anime reviews. He only does a small few a year.
5:10 "what the f**k bro?...leave me alone, Jesus Christ!" I know that feel when he popped up in the library in the middle of Jack crank puzzle lol.
Red Dead Redemption 2. That’s all I need to say Chris, you should play that
Bret.Stang4.6 yes, he should. Damn good game.
"OUTTA THE DAMN WA...Howdy Mister." -Arthur Morgan
holy, i thought it was just a remastering of the game. It's basically an entire remake.
I saw a clip on FB where each character had on an alternate outfit. Claire had a white suit that looks like she was just struck by a...wait for it... *Smooth Criminal!*
The flashlight problem can be easily fixed by increasing the brightness.
It's the 90's though. Lighting in Small flashlights back then are terrible, because no led.
“Its horrible...and I loved it”
Best quote of the year.
I love your reviews of games you approach them with such a different angle to regular game websites it's really refreshing.
Great job with the channel still enjoying all your content
Mr X was the highlight of this game he is SO SCARY. Those footsteps you can hear in the above floor or right outside the door. I loved the acting ....from every single character. So very happy with this game they have improved the original so much.
Was thinking about buying this...am definitely buying now. Thanks Chris!
Just started my first ever playthrough of the Resident Evil series.. can't wait to get to this one.
Great review! I can tell this was a video you genuinely wanted to make. I enjoyed how passionate you sounded
Now I really wish they would remake the Dino Crisis games.
not his type of game but I hope he understand it
God the first one was a classic. You’re so right.
wasi gupito budiarto Chris is a fan of Dino Crisis
Yeah so they can ruin them by removing content and turning them into movies with just graphics.
Dude at 2:39 you really made me laugh hard. Wasn't really expecting that reaction!
Wait this ain't jablinski gaming?
The game he played was made after 1960, so no.
Chris I always feel so happy to see your videos in my subscription box
5:09 I smashed the replay for this. His reaction on Mr. X is priceless!
Thank you for reviewing this! Being a huge Resident Evil fan I hope that your very large fan base watches this review and gives Capcom the money they deserve. Who knows maybe they'll remake RE3 which is my personal favorite!!

April 2020.
Video game remakes do often tend to be better than the original, and this is no exception. This is my favorite Resident Evil Game. It is the perfect blend of everything I love about the franchise.
It's the second best re game re4 is the best
@@godofgears8040 hated re4 maybe since i only played it 2 years ago i didnt like it
I love how your personality shone through your review, Chris! Super entertaining, I could really feel your enthusiasm!
Chris grew up with everything
Love when you take the time to do video game reviews. :)
Angry Joe and Chris stuckmann are slowly transforming into each other
Shaunak Deshpande sadly joe knows nothing about movies.
Angry Joe is just an old guy with the mind of a teenager. So moody and unstable emotionally.
Awesome man,I didn’t know you did reviews on video games too. I played and loved the original RE2,this one looks like a super upgrade.
Waking up to the Stuckmann smile can really turn a day in which I have gymnastics class...around!
I wasn’t apart of the notification gang but I was waiting for Chris to review this . And of course , I’m not disappointed
@@robertybarra3980 Awesome, heard there's good replay value & cool unlocks, I'm so looking forward to revisiting Racoon City P.D.
@@Timelord007 have a blast dude, I played Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 back in the PS1 days and RE2 Remake is a blast! Can't wait for the 3rd remake!
Happy Valentine's day
@@jaydoode15 Be awesome if Nemesis got same treatment I can't wait, ditto played em on PS1 in fact I had PS1 Christmas 96 with Resident Evil & Tomb Raider, I was meant go to a party but became so addicted playing it I didn't go.
Dude, that was an entertaining review man! Really enjoyed it!
So who's ready for remakes of Resident Evil 3 and Code Veronica?
Definitely can't wait for those 2 games to be remade.
Lol not remade, "RUINED"
Cool to see Chris getting into game reviews, hope to see more
You should do an in-depth review of Metal Gear Solid 2. That game is DEEP with things to talk about
"Reviews" of your nostalgia glasses tinted memory of a 2 decade old video game would not be as entertaining to people as you might think.
i love you're game reviews keep it up man!
Hey Chris. Are you gonna make a How To Train Your Dragon 3 review? I'm really looking forward for one. I'd like to know your thoughts on this new and final film of the trilogy.
Fantastic review as always Chris! More game reviews in the future please!
Were you Stuckmannized in this game Chris?
Your face on the image certainly looks like it.
Edit: I KNEW IT.
Love these, keep it up Chris
I love the game, but it has two glaring flaws:
1. Claire and Leon speak to each other far less than the original game. They are still strangers by the end of the game.
2. The "2nd run" makes zero sense plot wise. Game feels like a really great remake of both characters A scenarios. I wish they weren't character swaps in some parts.
i think they phoned in these aspects a bit as well. imo that's why it's 9.5/10 and not 10/10
Agree
Love you brother good to see you doing game reviews
I am liking it, but it is also stressing me out. I wish that I could be as able in playing horror movies as I am at watching them. But the panic Chris mentioned is not always a good thing when it makes you not want to play.
Got to when I could see rooms in front of me were kennel and morgue, that I had to look online to not lose my mind. Collecting myself to do another run after I fear that I used too much ammo. Don't know how I will handle Nemesis after a zombie pulling that doorway trick on me already really freaked me out.
Awesome Review Chris, i might buy it soon hope it’s as good as u say 😎
Knowing how much of a fan Chris is for horror movies, it feels so nice to see him, for once, be able to have something new in the horror genre that's actually good. It's great getting to see him properly nerd out about a new, great experience.
i was waiting for your review of this :)
Well looks like it’s time to get into Resident Evil..
I just got the game, gonna make a video about it soon too haha. Thanks for the review Chris!!!!
"GOD DAMN. THIS GAME IS GOOD. I AM SATISFIED"
Thanks for the Review, I bought the game as a i am a classic resident evil fan, it’s great to be back playing it with improvement camera, and graphics
Every time I enjoy anything now I will yell at it, "I AM SATISFIED!!!"
I enjoy your contents Chris. From movie reviews to game reviews. But this is the funniest by far IMO. I agree with you on your thoughts about games being $60 a pop and Mr. X. In fact, I couldn’t expressed it better myself lol. Keep up the awesome work!
This game was awesome got to go back and play as Clair!
Please more game reviews🙏🙏🙏
So now I've had to give up open world games.knowing im not going to finish them ever.and a few other titles.
Christ. Finishing Red Dead Redemption 2 was actually one of the biggest chores of my life. It pained me.
The game reviews are back,
Yay!
You havent even reviewed The Favourite or Green Book what is going on?
It's nice to think in games again. Grest review Chris. This game is simply worth every penny.
Idk bout chall but mr x got a pretty dope hat lmao
Put some respek on his hat😂😂😂😂😂
Subscribed because of how you reviewed this game..... So fun loooool, Much love, Man!
I'm torn between whether 'Resident Evil 2' or 'Resident Evil 3: Nemesis' it my favorite game in the series 🤔
they're inextricable from each other imo
Carlos Fontes Resident Evil 2 is a classic, but RE3: Nemesis is a good underrated title.
Jason McMurtry Couldn’t resist replying to this but that is so adorable haha 👍
When he started to talk about Mr. X, these were my exact thoughts when I was playing the game 5:07-5:49
Can you do reviews for:
Samsara (2011)
Coal Miner’s Daughter (1980)
Badlands (1973)
Thanks, Chris, a great review. Always a pleasure to watch 🤗
@@Brswing The vine monsters actually stay down if you burn them. You'll know that they're dead when they turn black.
All in all though, I loved how the vineys had to be dealt with by shooting all the growths on them, and I only figured that out because of my fear of them getting back up after I realized that they "don't die."
I can't imagine being the person that shoots zombies in the head and then finds out that shooting them 10 or so times doesn't kill them, LOL.
4:03 I think that’s any player who’s played a survival game and have no ammo left
cmon chris the damn controller ain’t even on in thumbnail
I love that the set lighting makes your left hand look bloody sometimes
