During the day of the dead, the costumes change your action bar to a sort of vehicle, and you duel using the special abilities it gives you. You don't actually start a duel or kill anyone. You can attack anyone with the costume in a free for all, and once the character gets to low health, they are defeated and lose the costume.

For number 3, Children's Week is most likely based off of several different Children's Day holidays observed around the world but in particular Japan's *Golden Week,* held from late April through early May, which is an observation of several holidays during that time with _Children's Day_ being the final celebration for Golden Week. Children's Day is meant to respect children's personalities and celebrate their happiness. Putting out the Bonfires for the Desecration of the Horde/Alliance Achievements is easier if you're a druid as you can do the quests while flying and don't get put into PvP as fast as with other classes, especially with those around major cities and encampments
Turkey Lurkey and Fistful of Love can both be cheesed with either a friend or a starter account. Literally just make new characters of the necessary class/race combo and park them away from the starter zone guards. With a Little Helper isn't as hard either, since HKs don't require you to land the killing blow, just to be in their general area. Epic Battleground like AV or Wintergrasp are your best bet, just hang out at the back of the pack of players so you don't get killed (and lose your costume in the process) I would also argue that "Respecting your Elders" is harder than "Fires" or "Tricks and Treats", since you have to go inside dungeons and enemy capitals for it, in addition to zones across the world.
most these achievements were much easier in wrath, just the number of people completing the masquerade when it was content the first time, made finding them massively easy because in /2(trade) they'd charge 1g or something. The masks i think i did just by using alts sitting next to candy buckets. one of these achievements took me a few years mostly due to it being annoying i think it was the egg one.. but i can't recall it was many years ago. The fistful like wise was just good will on the two servers i played on, for each side you'd just ask in trade, somebody would afk their toon in dalaran - when the expansions were in dalaran it was so much easier.
I am so glad they got rid of the school of hard knocks achievement. That was my last one that I needed and I could never get it because ironically, while the horde were actually being helpful and allowing me as an alliance player to get several of the achievements, my own faction, that had already gotten the achievement, kept screwing me over. The one where we just had to go and click on that one flag while we had the orphan out to secure one of the little zones in the battleground, for the horde players came running at me and then saw I had the orphan and they all parted let me run over and click on the flag and claim it and then let me go and then they reclaimed the area. Later on they killed me, but you know that's all part of the battleground lol
Being sociable isn't out of my comfort zone at all.. but yet the Masquerade achievement is something I still haven't gotten for various other reasons like time, forgetfulness, lack of socializing on other people's part, people I know not having particular wands, etc. It's wild how difficult that one is 😅
Back when I played WoW after I got whatever items (usually costumes like the lich king and hellscream one) I wanted for that year I would spend whatever Tricky Treats I had left to buy wands on demand for people who asked. Usually if you hang out by the vendor npcs you can find someone like me willing to burn our leftover treats.
You said that children's week doesn't have an equivalent in real life. Actually, in Japan, Children's Day is May 5th. This lines up with Children's Week being the first week of May as well.
Look up the feat of strength [They're Both Footballs?] due to an oversight on blizzard's part, that achievement alone is now harder to get than all of the achievements on this list combined.
@@knighthawk3749 To earn the achievement you have to loot both ball-toys on the same character. Most people do the event daily with more than one char, as there a very many toys and pets to be collected, and as such loot and learn the 2 ball toys on different chars. However, once you learned a toy the chance of that toy dropping a second time becomes extremly low. Meaning you can do that event daily for years and never get the the toy to drop a second time. The worst part is, since it is feat of strength it doesn't show up until you've earned it, which is why most people only learn of it's existence after locking themselves out of the easy route. Back when this achievement was added this was not a problem, since the toybox wasn't in the game yet and as such the droprate was character based and not account wide. Once blizz added the toy box they made the droprate account wide without updating the achievement to check account wide aswell. This last part is the oversight I was talking about.
For Turkey Lurkey - if you have the toy you can complete the achievement at any time of the year. I've done the achievement multiple times on alts when the event isn't active. (Now that I've posted this, Blizz will fix it.)
The Savior of Hallow's End is the only holiday achievement I am missing. Honestly how do people put out all the fire solo? No one seems to be doing the quest these days.
what about "hwat a strange long year this has been" or something like that is called in which it takes a whole year of holiday achievements to get a mount and a tittle? i dont remember, stopped playing long ago... so, if you missed 1 holiday achievement, whelp... wait till next year!
I think you keep forgetting that during wrath of the lich King the headless horseman was the bad luck protection. You could do him as many times as you wanted to on the same character
@@Dremag_Gaming it's no longer the case. But in wrath you were able to. humeridex just unfortunately doesn't really do research with videos most of the time
There is a way to cheese the Love is in the Air achievements by using your trial account to create characters for any race/class combo you're missing and then just use your main account to tag the alts. Dual boxing FTW.
Why didn't Blizzard TELL us that School of Hard Knocks had been removed as necessary for the What a Long, Strange Trip it's Been? I've been stuck on that one single achievement for YEARS! And now I find out that it was removed last year!
That damned torch toss. I have guano for reflexes (MS is a sux thing), and I've tried every year since it came out, daily. And I've yet to do it. And I've only got that one left for the meta. I hate that quest. I wish someone made an add-on that would make it easier. I really want that achievement finished.
For years I had literally every achievement for What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been EXCEPT the children's week one. I logged in for the first time in years for Shadowlands, and it turns out they removed the achievement and after a decade of waiting, i have my Violet Proto-Drake.
As someone who did "School of Hard Knocks" the first year it was available: Good riddance. I spent the entire holiday trying to get it until I finally got it the last day of the event that year. I don't want anyone else to suffer as I did for my violet proto-drake. Also, the rogue achievement isn't actually hard at all. The ACTUALLY easiest way to get it is just to ask someone to make a bunch of rogues of the races you need. Go to their starting zone, then shoot them. Lots of travel time, but at least you're guaranteed to get the rogues you need. Finally, the Day of the Dead achievement doesn't require real PvP. Both players put on a costume and then it gives you special action buttons that deal damage to one another. Once one person drops low enough, they're defeated and their costume is removed. No dueling, no killing blows. No PvP involved whatsoever. If you lose, you simply reapply the costume and go at it again. As well, it can be done year-round as long as you have the costume. It doesn't have to be done during those specific 2 days. Blizzard removed the ability to use the costumes in instanced PvP, because it was griefing players since as stated, it replaces your abilities with unique abilities only usable in the costume. You apply the costume, you're a sitting duck and can't ACTUALLY attack other players. Overall good video, but this one specific part of it is VERY incorrect.
Bruh... i made that achievement the very first day, it took less then 2 hours. Is not even hard. The best way is to do it along a friend. Me and my friend hunter always did pvp together. Having someone covering your back make this a cakewalk. We both got it done at the same time pretty much.
Turkey Lurky absolutely should be removed from the meta or nerfed to the ground in terms of how many different rogues you need. That achievement was tough to get back in Cata and MoP and I cant even imagine how obnoxious it is these days. Freaking Dwarf Rogues man...
Idk. I don't think any of the achievements that were part of the original what a long strange trip its been meta achievement were hard and shouldn't be on this list. When they were added in wrath everyone was working on them that first year so finding wands and masks was pretty easy. Everyone wanted the proto drake.
F those mask collection for 4 years i couldn't get few masks like 3 of them then blizz made them available in vendors and btw after 12 y of playing still no rocket mount and horse man mount or no ram in bear fest i have 7 rhino in bank just kept them too show how unlucky i am in wow and rng
The number 1 isn't that hard at all. Plenty of people are making groups and all you have to do is join one of those groups and wait for your turn and that's it. The one with the rogues might take a while, but it's also not that hard. The hardest one for me was the School of Hard Knocks. For some might even be an impossible task, since not everyone is playing pvp let alone battlegrounds and good luck getting that achievement. I remember doing Warsong Gulch and everyone who was after the achievement was standing inside the base and waited for the other faction to grab the flag. Some guy from the alliance came and then he took it and then dropped it and no one was attacking him and instead we were clicking on the flag he left behind. It was hilarious.
They really love me i obtained along with my 18 friends. Simple and easy. Requires you to have friends. If you dont have that better Ask around for help or you may even have to pay them to help you out 😂😂😂
i fondly remember completing the School of Hard Knocks a day or two before it was removed from the "For the Children" achievement. it kinda made me mad that they removed it as a requirement because of how fun and challenging it was, only to not need to do it at all. i remember making my teammates _really_ mad because I was recklessly capturing objectives all over the map lol
Childrens Week is the one time of the year I refuse to play battlegrounds. Watching the whole team trying to do some cheesy achievement instead of winning the BG isn't worth it to me.
Number one was pretty obvious. If I remember correctly that's the only holiday achievement I didn't have back when I played just because how absurdly difficult it was to coordinate and how many people you needed to help you out.
What have we learned? Make a Dark Iron Mage with engineering
Oh my god, Turkey Lurkey... The hours spent in Broken Isles Dalaran looking for someone crazy enough to play as a worgen rogue...
I used to sit in Dalaran with my Worgen Rogue just to help people out! I still do when I have time during that holiday.
Why would worgen rogue be crazy? that flat +1% crit chance is dope

Epic Battleground like AV or Wintergrasp are your best bet, just hang out at the back of the pack of players so you don't get killed (and lose your costume in the process)
I would also argue that "Respecting your Elders" is harder than "Fires" or "Tricks and Treats", since you have to go inside dungeons and enemy capitals for it, in addition to zones across the world.
most these achievements were much easier in wrath, just the number of people completing the masquerade when it was content the first time, made finding them massively easy because in /2(trade) they'd charge 1g or something.
What i did literally last year was to make a group in lfg and do it that way
I always thought for #3 that children's week was based from the children day celebraition that happens on April 30 at least on Mexico.
Nice video
i remember the fire for azeroth was really hard on my server back then since the ogrimmar fireplace was bug and didnt respawn
What's the music in the background?
I would love to see another video with the other achievements
I think I did most of these for 'what a strange long trip its been'. I only did it for the 310% mount.
Why is that? What oversight?
I got the Violet Proto Drake on both my Hunter and Druid then they made mounts account wide. still felt good.
Some of these were much harder when they first dropped because there was no flying on Azeroth until Cata.
The Savior of Hallow's End is the only holiday achievement I am missing. Honestly how do people put out all the fire solo? No one seems to be doing the quest these days.
you could trade the snow flaks to people just not main them. So you can still give them to or from your alts with another players help.
what about "hwat a strange long year this has been"
or something like that is called
in which it takes a whole year of holiday achievements to get a mount and a tittle? i dont remember, stopped playing long ago...
so, if you missed 1 holiday achievement, whelp... wait till next year!
Is Children's Week not the equivalent of Japan's Golden Week?
TIL going around clicking on things is considered hard now.
So that's why people transform me into a turkey on a regular basis? Because I'm a rogue!
I think you keep forgetting that during wrath of the lich King the headless horseman was the bad luck protection. You could do him as many times as you wanted to on the same character
provided people allowed you to leech off of their attempts...
@@Gulantik No, you literally were able to just keep running it over and over. You didn't only get one attempt.
@@godlygamer911 I find it funny you can get that way easier than the stupid rocket.
@@Dremag_Gaming it's no longer the case. But in wrath you were able to. humeridex just unfortunately doesn't really do research with videos most of the time
@@Gulantik lol deleted your comment
Well eff me, I got "The Hallowed" and the mount back during cata before Dragon Soul. Lucky dogs just don't know how good they have it these days.
Video Suggestion: skippable raid&dungeon bosses with a side note of PvPvE bosses
There is a way to cheese the Love is in the Air achievements by using your trial account to create characters for any race/class combo you're missing and then just use your main account to tag the alts. Dual boxing FTW.
Why do you need trials? You can just create 1st level characters and choose to start in the original starting zones.
@@knighthawk3749 i thought any account without a sub was a “trial”
@@asmrtpop2676 I think I confused trial account with class trial.
Why didn't Blizzard TELL us that School of Hard Knocks had been removed as necessary for the What a Long, Strange Trip it's Been? I've been stuck on that one single achievement for YEARS! And now I find out that it was removed last year!
if it was the only one you were stuck on you should have gotten the mount by now
Mage with engineering is best class for this kind of achievement plus boosted mount speed
That does make how often i got hit with rose petals on my dk on Valentine's make sense.
Proud Dwarf rogue player. :P
wait...so you wrote the script for the video and recorded it back in patch 9.2 and just upload it now?! wtf dude?!
Dia de los muertos not muretos at 16:36
I did Nr 1 before the nerf and it takes so mutch time unbelivable
For Halloween mask achievement i loged to my rogue went to dalaran in legion and sw easy plus i got to fish in sw too
Good video. But the correct spelling of day of the dead in Spanish is Dia de los muertos, not Dia de los muretos. 😅
School Of Hard Knocks is probably the hardest one out of all. Mainly because EVERYONE will be trying to do it.
not me. i dont actively try for achievements. if they happen they happen
Turkey Lurky absolutely should be removed from the meta or nerfed to the ground in terms of how many different rogues you need. That achievement was tough to get back in Cata and MoP and I cant even imagine how obnoxious it is these days.
Freaking Dwarf Rogues man...
Turkey Lurkey is easy, you can just create rogue that you need on starters account in second window...
Children's Week has several real life equivalents.
Thankfully that one is no longer needed for the meta. The first time I logged in during Children's Week last year I got the meta auto-completed.
Good thing I did it in 2008 or 2009 so I don't have to bother doing it.
@@knighthawk3749 Yeah, that achievement should be optional and not an requirement for those who want to get the violet proto drake.
School of hard knocks should defo be no.1
They really love me i obtained along with my 18 friends. Simple and easy. Requires you to have friends. If you dont have that better Ask around for help or you may even have to pay them to help you out 😂😂😂
and that is why u need to have acounts that have 12 chars from each race and same spec lvl up to max u can ghet so much gold out of that
Children week is a actual holiday in romania , im surprised it's not for everyone aparently
why would it be? different countries celebrate different things
race class combos arent too hard usually find loads in group finder
i fondly remember completing the School of Hard Knocks a day or two before it was removed from the "For the Children" achievement. it kinda made me mad that they removed it as a requirement because of how fun and challenging it was, only to not need to do it at all.
i remember making my teammates _really_ mad because I was recklessly capturing objectives all over the map lol
For no7 we did it with guild help and it took near 1 hour , just grouped 2 guild 80 ppl 😂
Sanctuaries make opposing faction achievements easier
Childrens Week is the one time of the year I refuse to play battlegrounds. Watching the whole team trying to do some cheesy achievement instead of winning the BG isn't worth it to me.
so the hardest achievement takes 1 friend and 25 minutes lol
Most hated world mobs?! Most weirdest world mobs ?!😅
For little helper achievement i again went rogue and tag or ks a player or aoe and vanish 😂 rest depend on your chance 0 skill needed
The collection ones aren't hard at all. Just time consuming
Number one was pretty obvious. If I remember correctly that's the only holiday achievement I didn't have back when I played just because how absurdly difficult it was to coordinate and how many people you needed to help you out.
As a solo player school of hard knocks.
PvP AV is easy AF cause of 1K winter :D
school of hard knocks was annoying
it sometimes eaiser to do it while in Arathi Basin as some will actually let you do it. (eye of the storm is another story)
