great video! ive got a challenge idea: A cargo 'ship' in space that has to deliver a package from one planet to another, meanwhile there's interceptors that start somewhere else and have to disable or stop the cargo ship and steal the package, pretty much space pirates!
and the cargo has to be loaded and unloaded respectively for additional hardmode. if the cargo is destroyed before its stable back on the ground, its a win for the attackers. that includes damage while unloading!
its just simply amazing how yzuei always manages to build something that looks that good and somehow resembles someting from real life. also random idea about an additional win condition to spice up those battles. the survivor has to land without taking additional dmg.
Interesting idea. Though I'd also enjoy if they did it like Smash Bros, where you win, but then you keep fighting damaged till you lose and do 3 total defeats with each of a smaller number of weapons. Maybe just mini-gun, rocket and EMP?
@@Nevir202 Thing is, to change weapons you need to enter build mode, and if I'm not mistaken, getting into build mode requires you to repair, unless they build all three at once.

Going back to my Smash analogy, in that, you set how many lives you have before you are totally out, and only after someone ultimately wins do you change characters, yes? So I am talking about 3 life battles, and the swapping weapons would be like choosing a different character between rounds... Other than everyone being required to pick the same character.
Hey Scrapman! After the Assumptions video I started watching your old Raft series with Kan. It was really fun and the game has received multiple big updates with a full story now. There are like 10 new giant locations filled with story and puzzles. Also a lot of new items and ways to decorate your raft. There are engines, steering wheels, ways to make fuel and water. Do you think it would fit your channel? Also maybe play with Kan or someone else again. Please like and comment so he'll know we want to see this.
I doubt he would play that as I’m guessing he didn’t get many views when they aired (I never watched them 💀 so I count towards that) but that sounds like a good idea if the game has been updated a bunch

Idea: A mini-dogfight with no energy shields or power core maximum, but a 50-block limit. This might be very interesting and challenging with the space pieces.
Idea for a video: yzuei and you exchange their previously built vehicles/airplanes from past episodes. Each person then attempts to improve the vehicle they received (i.e. yzuei focuses on enhancing the aesthetics and appearance of your build, while you aim to enhance functionality and performance). After both have made their respective improvements, the vehicles engage in a battle against each other.
After seeing Yzuei's build with the wings fanning out gave me some real Starfox 64 Nostalgia. Already hearing "All range mode" and Wolf's theme playing in my head.
Awesome Vid! Have you considered a sabotage race or dog fight where you each get to tinker with each others builds slightly (I have seen one in scrapmechanic, not sure if its been done on Trail makers...may have missed it)
You guys should try these challenges with only space thrusters! I think that their lower power but lower size would be an interesting trade off. Love your videos!
7:38 this is happening because if the center of drag is in front of the center of mass, it'll spin out, and if it's too far behind it will be impossible to control. having balanced forces would fix the issue.
I’ve noticed you tend to shoot when you see the red target but don’t wait for the aiming reticles to turn red as well, your shots will be a lot more accurate if you wait for the reticles
Build idea: create a vehicle that drives around the orbit planet really fast with maybe glitch/downwards thrust holding it down, and then when it reaches a certain speed, it releases its wheels and flies off the planet. Maybe even escape orbit
Mid-air BALLOOON bumper carts. Destruction derby IN THE SKIES! Everyone locks their height at a set altitude. If you drop above or bellow it, you lose.
Proposal for a multiplayer session: The weird wing warplane! Build airplanes that must have at least 5 wing pieces on each side. Uplift may only be performed by these. Each wing piece must be connected to a hinge. An altitude sensor is installed, which switches off the thrust at a certain altitude so that you have to be close to the ground. Armed with EMPs, you go into battle. When hit, the wings fold in randomly and the plane becomes difficult to control. The player who stays in the air the longest wins the round. Optionally add more weapons or you could also add another wing piece and a hinge after each battle.
Putting this out there again, Multiplayer Battle Idea: Flying Fish vs Kingfisher. Basically, a plane that can dive down into the water, and a submarine that can glide. Perhaps with a bonus twist of allowing the planes to only shoot underwater, and the subs to shoot in the air.
Idea: An all-terrain race with a single vehicle. (Water to Land to Air to Space) No build limit, breakaway blocks are allowed, repairs available only after becoming immobilized, and up to 2 EMPs and 1 forward-facing shield allowed (To keep things interesting and give the players in the back a chance to catch up or mess with the front-runner). Might be more fun with more people.
Going off this battle idea, it'd be cool to see yall try a similar approach with small prop engines. Delving deeper; prop engines only, no moving parts, no flap wings, no gyros, no seat control, direction has to be changed via a propeller.
Idea: A dog-fighting custom air-race with a bunch of obstacles? (custom map might be easiest) You can shoot each other while trying to be the first to get through all the checkpoints/hoops. 200 block and 20 power core limit. Energy shields are optional. The keys will be mobility and limiting the size to fit within one of the flaming hoops.
Challenge Idea: A dogfight, any number of cores, any weapons, whatever you want, it just needs to be a flying machine, HOWEVER, if you place an item on your build, you must place 10 of that item by the end of the build. So engines? 1 becomes 10, better use 'em for control surfaces, cores? wing panel? well, you placed one each side so find a way to put on 18 more of each. Fully expecting you to both end up with Borg Cubes but it could be interesting, and lets be honest, we all wanna see you guys firing like, a hundred blasters at each other's shields lol.
Would still love to see a Trailmakers battle (land or air, your choice) where you have shields that you can only take out with EMP weaponry before you're allowed to shoot the creation with ballistic weapons only. Edit: These crafts remind me of the crafts from HSX: Hypersonic Xtreme. And Yzuei's craft looks like a beefed up F-14 Tomcat
You should do a challenge where you build big towers that shoot each other but the winner has every one else use the winning tower and they get to modify it.
I have a challenge idea, make sci-fi space fighter, gunship, or frigate airworthy then Duke it out using what predetermined rules you would like, it would probably be time intensive, but would be equally enjoyable as your regular content.
You guys should do a no limits dog fight you choose each others parts. for example you choose the other persons source of thrust, their seat,and the wings/lift surfaces they can use.
Jaws shark attack. Each of you builds a boat that goes to a set speed and a submersible vehicle that can only melee attack the boat, and name tags are hidden only for the boat not the shark. Also, if you build something that kinda resembles a shark and give it a working jaw, then you might even be able to pick up the boat. The goal to win is to either capsize, destroy, or sink the enemy boat. Whoever survived the longest as the boat wins. The objective as the boat is to rely on visual ques and quick thinking to avoid the shark. And remember only the shark should be able to see name tags.
Challenge idea: I think it would be cool to see remote controll drones or rc cars, boats, etc, that could either be used in an emp battle or maybe a race, or maybe the original platform that the rc vehicles dettach from can be like a box that the vehicles have to drop the little blue barrles and or red exposive barrles in. Perhaps the barrels can be worth a set amount of points(the red explosive barrles are worth more), and after a certain time limit whoever has the most amount of points wins, just to make things a little more interesting you can steal from other players. The rc vehicles(preferredly drones for eays controll) don't have to be very small they just can't be the main vehicle(the bins/boxs), also you can add your own power core limit, block limit, weapon limit(if you want weapons) and other restrictions as you want, this is just an idea so you can take it as is or spin your own twist on it and mold it into something different. Ps to avoid you or another player exploding an explosive barrel in your own base make two compartments one for the blue barrels and one for the red preferably made out of and indestructible block(Ex, indestructible seat) or use something other than explosive barrels, if you do use explosive barrels you only get the points from them if they don't explode.
Try using quantum rudders as horizontal stabilizers next time. They still function outside of the space map and offer a lot of stability without influencing turning capabilities as intensely as standard wings or tailfins, even when the quantum rudder controls are disabled
Pretty sure the middle rear thruster got taken out, because you are so fast. The game essentially renders the weapon fire frame by frame, which means, it is not a continuous line, but a dotted line. The gun aims for your seat, but since you are so fast, it hits the middle rear thruster, because it is directly behind it. And due to the "dotted line" of fire, the main part of your craft is essentially skipped.
This video was a lot more closely matched than it should have been. ScrapMan's two wins were a bit on the lucky side, I think. I would have liked to see other weapons involved... and I'm wondering if EMP rounds in these videos would benefit from having one additional weapon of builder's choice as secondary armament, just because EMP battles rely so heavily on terrain as an improvised weapon. On the other hand, adding another weapon pretty much gives the win to the first player to score an EMP hit, just because of how targeting works.
I have an idea, with the new gyro stabilizers it will be much easier to create a mech, imagine a mech demolition derby with melee weapons! Real steel style!
ScrapMan you have to remember this when making fighter jets/aircraft, they (fighter jets) are made highly unstable on purpose to be extremely maneuverable. For example the USAF's F-16.

What about something similar to this but with drones and propellers? But you are only allowed to put the props vertical, so again you'd need vectoring for control?
200 blocks is the killer. the reason being i'd be using the control blocks with velocity control to and logic to essentially... be able to arrest motion in other directions. and that would be a chunk of blocks.

I dunno about that. I think the EMP hits EVERYTHING in its Radius and has no Cap on how many things it can roll chances of disruption on.

Use powered fins for stability, and disable the power when you press rotation controls. Stable when you need it, loosey-goosey when you're turning.

Why a Quantum Engine?
Well I've been experimenting with making a Quantum Engine for a while now and I want to see how Scrap Man's and the others takes this challenge and see what kind of creation he could make

What about something similar to this but with drones and propellers? But you are only allowed to put the props vertical, so again you'd need vectoring for control?

200 blocks is the killer. the reason being i'd be using the control blocks with velocity control to and logic to essentially... be able to arrest motion in other directions. and that would be a chunk of blocks.
