Your comment about forgetting shields gave me an idea - One of you has shields and lower tier weapons while the other has better weapons and no shields. Both crafts could be built with shields, and then alternate who gets to turn theirs on. Sort of an interesting test to see what weapons it would take to balance out the advantage of shields vs. no shields. It could be done in atmosphere or space. Your choice.
I wonder if mount orientation has any impact of the weapons' tracking. Scrapman's guns were mounted sideways but Yzuie's were fully upside down. If they have less up-down range of motion than left-right, that might be why Scrapman's lock-on didn't seem as effective. Time for science! I'll report back shortly. EDIT: Science! Tests were conducted using a 2x2 block dropped 1 block onto a single anchor pin using detachable blocks at a range of 20 studs (to borrow the LEGO term). I would love to see a boss fight mode or something where one person has a bunch of shields and a turret and everyone else is trying to destroy them with high power vehicles
I think you should do a 'superweapon' dogfight. - multiple players work in teams of 2, 700 blocks, any weapons, cores, items etc you want, an hour to design. The catch? They must all fly. Someone might go for a slow, heavily armored gunship bristling with forward firing guns or turrets, someone might make something SUPER fast and evasive with a rocket alpha strike at close range, someone else might make something that fires in all directions and spins like the death blossom from The Last Starfighter.. I reckon you guys could come up with something *NUTS*, and I know you'd get the interaction/clicks, cuz everyone loves seeing people push a game and their creativity to crazy limits.
You should do a challenge where the dispensers are the only weapon. So you could have a vehicle that shoots snowballs all the way to a missile that drops a line of walls. The only limitation being it has to be a land vehicle. This would be super cool cause of the all the flexibility in the weapons.

Idea: Vehicle battle. Just build anything that will hopefully get you the win. Let's see Howmush destruction we can see when you're only limited to your imagination (and the 700 block limit). Maybe build a plane with 5 of every weapon? Maybe build a truck with 20 miniguns on the back. Or maybe build a submarine that can fly so you can hide under the water. I think it's will be fun too see what everyone comes up with.
I wanna see a 2v2 race where one person drives the build, the other is mounted on a turret that only has EMPs equipped on it. Bonus rules, if your vehicle sustains damage you cannot repair (to make EMP'd tumbles more impactful) and no shields are allowed.
Idea: you fight on the "planet" inside the asteroid field and play in first person. Your view will be blocked off so you can only use the weapon aiming radicals to navigate. You are out when your weapons got taken out Basicly spray,pray, and be blind
I dont know if you know but, the always upright gyro (I forget the name atm) works with a rotating device in it. So to keep you rocking from back and forth, or nose pitching down, turn the gyro sideways just like you would if you used a heli engine with angle sensor.
dog fight idea: have an underwater fight but using space weapons if the weapons work underwater it should be fun second idea: space ships vs military basicly one team fight the air kinda like a ground vs air fight but with new weapons
I think a good and interesting idea would be making space crafts in the space map, with a 150 block limit, and then without telling the others beforehand going to the floating island map and then fighting eachother
I remember Scraps made a vid where he made a wingless plane, but since it was before most of the DLC was released, it looked a lot more like those experimental NASA lifting body aircraft. Now they basically made piloted missiles with guns. Kinda feels cheated using the gyros.

How about Snake Planes? Your thrust and main lift on the first, larger section with smaller sections attached behind it by 0 power hinges and just enough lift to support themselves.
Do a juggernaut fight where 1 player can use 700 blocks, unlimited shield generators, and unlimited weapons, while everyone else is restricted to 1 shield generator, a reasonable number of power cores for weapons (say about 8), and 100 blocks
I think the reason your rockets were missing and Yzuei were not was the shape of the paths you were taking, his was always curving and the rockets would shoot where he could have been had he gone straight, and you were keeping straight mostly. Either way GG
Redo the EMP fight higher up so you actually have a chance for recovery, it would take 2-3 successful hits in a row to make them crash. Or you could fly near some of the mountains on the Airborne map or use the High Seas map for an extra challenge. I do really want to see some challenges on the high seas, it's almost never seen
The High Seas map is a bit tricky since wind is added into the equation. It's not a factor in every other map, but suddenly it's basically the thing that makes or breaks an entire round. And the fact that the wind isn't as consistent in every part of the map makes it a bit difficult to have a fair contest in the High Seas. I totally agree that more challenges on the High Seas would be cool, but it's just that forced weather factor that makes it difficult to have a relatively fair contest.
Here's a thought. Are the force fields tangible? Could you see if they could be shaped as holographic wings maybe? I figure if you could build a wingless plane that barely doesn't fly and then with force field enabled and shaped to act as wings will the plane have more lift?
perhaps it's because you are at a slower enough speed after a maneuver that make you a easier target for both predicting flightpath and landing a shot.

I think yuzi’s gyro set up made his craft very ‘slippery’ making your missiles have a lot of trouble predicting him.
