Evil thought: Building a Custom Missile with a batch of 4 Dynamite, a 2x1 or 2x2 Nose, and a butt using the rear mount Space Thruster... still trying to get its named memorized... the one that looks like a 2x2 disc that trades being 250 Thrust vs the Dragon Engine's 300 Thrust for being much better at Thrust to Weight Ratio.
Add logic for a max flight time, (like real missiles) This would make firing them more tactical. Also give them more speed, then if everyone has guns it would make for a great larger battle.
Ngl as someone on pc I also got excited thinking there was a vanilla way to make missiles now. ESP since they added a bunch of new logic blocks but then I saw the custom missile mod menu so nvm.
I have always said I wanted missile pods to the game, flares would have a chance to counter and the more pods you hade the harder/longer it took to get a lock, with the average amount being 2 pods. And if you only had one pod, it would be really hard to shake that missile. Just a thought.
I've been working on an Air-Air missile in Trailmakers for a couple of months now. It uses glitched sensor blocks which have a maximum range of 500 meters. I've got it to the point where it can reliably hit a slow moving bomber as long as it isn't moving any more than 50 degrees relative the missile
Personally i think trail makers should add more advance weapons like laser/laser tracker, heat seekers(can even have it set so you have to maintain a lock for them to work) and flares for evading

IDK if this would work but try to make flares / chaff which is just the eyeballs getting dropped off of the plane, and depending if the missle locked onto one of them and u drop that flare it will follow,
I dont know if anyone else has suggested this, but i think you should make a realistic f14 with AIM 54 missiles, with a 2x2 size so you can have distance sensors and dragon jets

And prox fuses. Real missiles don't need to hit you to kill you, and haven't for decades. They just need to get close enough.

you should do this again but asign the dynamite to the launch button and have a delay on it so the missile will eventually explode even if it misses
If you use red eyes on detachable blocks it acts as flares (you can put them on missles so enemie missles will track them)
