What is Trailmakers?
Trailmakers is a sandbox-style video game developed by Flashbulb Games. Evil thought: Building a Custom Missile with a batch of 4 Dynamite, a 2x1 or 2x2 Nose, and a butt using the rear mount Space Thruster... still trying to get its named memorized... the one that looks like a 2x2 disc that trades being 250 Thrust vs the Dragon Engine's 300 Thrust for being much better at Thrust to Weight Ratio.

Add logic for a max flight time, (like real missiles) This would make firing them more tactical. Also give them more speed, then if everyone has guns it would make for a great larger battle.
you could also have detachable eyes to act as flares

And prox fuses. Real missiles don't need to hit you to kill you, and haven't for decades. They just need to get close enough.

They really aren't, they usually fall short.
A "Hunter Block" and a "Target Block". Or- just make the hunter block target seats, weapons or engines... Give it a priority list.

Now do a dogfight where the only weapon is the missile launched from a SAM turret, it would be more like who survives at the end that a dogfight
I have always said I wanted missile pods to the game, flares would have a chance to counter and the more pods you hade the harder/longer it took to get a lock, with the average amount being 2 pods. And if you only had one pod, it would be really hard to shake that missile. Just a thought.

I would say that the f14s dimensions do make it look a little more like a panavia tornado
yzuei you should do flares with the tracers so when you launch them the missiles will target the flares instead of you

You can use biwis rocket thruster buf mod to make the rocket thruster have 300 power instead of 60. That makes the missiles much more fun
I've been working on an Air-Air missile in Trailmakers for a couple of months now. It uses glitched sensor blocks which have a maximum range of 500 meters. I've got it to the point where it can reliably hit a slow moving bomber as long as it isn't moving any more than 50 degrees relative the missile

Personally i think trail makers should add more advance weapons like laser/laser tracker, heat seekers(can even have it set so you have to maintain a lock for them to work) and flares for evading

The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't, by subtracting where it is, from where it isn't, or where it isn't, from where it is, whichever is greater, it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance sub-system uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is, to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position where it was, is now the position that it isn't. In the event of the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has required a variation. The variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too, may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was. The missile guidance computance scenario works as follows: Because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is, however it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subracts where it should be, from where it wasn't, or vice versa. By differentiating this from the algebraic sum og where it shouldn't be, and where it was. It is able to obtain a deviation, and a variation, which is called "air"

Flare device and once it's lauched the homing missile will track it and it will explodec:

the green eyes could also work as auto turrets if u add then to 0 strength servos and hinges so you can concentrate on flying
IDK if this would work but try to make flares / chaff which is just the eyeballs getting dropped off of the plane, and depending if the missle locked onto one of them and u drop that flare it will follow,

Can you save blueprints with the eyeball block on them? Like, does it keep the settings of the tracker block after you "respawn" your build?

you should do this again but asign the dynamite to the launch button and have a delay on it so the missile will eventually explode even if it misses

I dont know if anyone else has suggested this, but i think you should make a realistic f14 with AIM 54 missiles, with a 2x2 size so you can have distance sensors and dragon jets
You code make a turret with many of this missiles and then try to doge them as long is you can in a plan

how did you get the mod menu open i cant find it
It took me 2 minutes to realise it was "homing 'missiles' " and not " 'homing' missiles"
this means that with this mod flares would be a lot more possible!!
it would be cool to put a orbital defense swarm around the asteroid in the middle of the asteroid cluster
