- I was pleasantly surprised by this $30 budget knife - the Swisstech Wurdig. 3-inch blade made of AUS-8 steel, comes in green micarta and gray G10 handles. The only catch - they're essentially a Walmart exclusive. Non-affiliate links below.

Let me know what you all think about these, I always wonder if budget knives are even worth doing videos on. But these were really cool.
I bought a swisstech at walmart slightly different than those and it is unbelievable. I carry and use it every single day. The blade remains very sharp and flips open so clean and i have had it for alittle over a year. By far my favorite budget knife
Mine as well. Civivi and Kizer offer similar price points for really good blade too, but for a Walmart blade these are outstanding!
I do enjoy and appreciate videos on budget knives. For what is worth, google translate says "Wurdig" = "Worthy" and "Listig" = "Cunning". Happy Holidays!
Nice! Wondered what those words translated to. Thanks for your comment!
Walmart is the most convenient store there is. They’re everywhere and easy to access. They have an online shopping portal with free shipping and delivery. Why is that a bummer?
Only a bummer because I wish these were available everywhere. They’re really good.
You make a good point.
I picked up a Wurdig a month ago, and I carried it for a couple of days and really like it. The little SAK competitor is trash though. Materials are not that nice, the steel is subpar. For a few bucks more, you can get a classic and it’s built a lot better.
You are correct. Since using it, I’ve found out that the scissors are awful, that the blade doesn’t stay sharp at all, and it’s like you said - trash.
My 2 go-to carry knives have been a Benchmade Presido (USMC issued) and a discontinued Gerber folder - I've been looking for an EDC knife that was more compact than the Presido. My local Wally-World had the green Wurdig in stock, so I picked one up last week. What a great value so far - we'll see how it holds up - thanks for the great find!
Whoa hold up - you got ISSUED a Presidio in the Marines? What year? I was in 2000-04 and they didn’t even issue us Kabars.
@@LandmanEDC - In 2010, as part of the Bn's Afghan deployment related supplemental gear issue - still have it today! I also had a Leatherman Wave issued while I was in Iraq in 2006.
@@wereeves Wow! They never issued us anything like that. Glad you were able to get stuff like that. Semper Fi!
Man you need to do something about that high pitch noise in the background. Lmk if you need help with that
I have older ears but I’m not hearing anything in the background brother. In fact, I run noise reduction filter of 30% on my voice track in every video.
Always worth doing vids on budget knives. Cause not everyone can afford the more expensive. And budget knives most of the time do the job just gotta look after them and take care of them.
I try to keep a good mix of expensive knives (less than $200) but also budget knives (sub $50-60) on the channel. Appreciate your input!
@@LandmanEDC I splashed out on my first knife and got a gurber, that just sits in my pack for when we go camping or tramping, but I have a few budget ones I carry on me which are effective and work great.
