Just looked at your site and I love the Doppelsinn, question before I order it though, while the doppelsinn is plugged into the wall with the 110v prongs, can I use the usb cords connected to the other side to charge my device at the same time? Kind of a glorified wallwort charger that I can unplug from the 110 and keep charging my phone with the battery. Thanks
Watched your video yesterday, got my knife today and I love it! Thank you so much for pointing this out. I would have never purchased this without the info you shared. Thanks
I love this SWISSTECH WURDIG knife as well. I paid the same price as you did at my local Walmart here in Connecticut. Great video and thanks for sharing it George.
Swisstech is really mastering their branding. The name Swiss reminds ppl of Swiss army knives and well tech makes you think there's something new to it. Not to mention the box it comes in is really appealing... that and their other collection like their charging banks, flashlights, etc make you want to continue adding it as a collection.
I am a huge fan of Victorinox, and I just bought my first Swiss Tech. I bought the Haltbar fixed blade. It's pretty dang sweet, honestly. I will stick to my Swiss Army, but Swiss Tech is doing its thing.
I really like the Micarta handles; it's the toughest, most scratch resistant material for knife scales I've seen. After couple months in the pocket it develops a satin sheen and looks even better.
Aloha George! Mahalo for sharing your latest "sharp & shiny." Saw you video just before a trip to Walmart, so I walked by the locked up knife case just to see if they had it and noticed two models, one of which must be a larger version at it was priced 10 dollar higher at $40. Thanks for the history of the company. From your review, it looks like a solid knife for the price, although I think it has a lot of competition in that price range? Mahalo once again, Thomas
Tep. Alot of competition fir sure. These guts have some nice tools. They have a multi tool that has a eatchet driver on it.....lol. pretty impressive. Pricey though. Thanks again for the support. Be safe 😁
Good review sir. I didn't like the thumb stud myself so I bought the Swiss Tech 7" Assisted Flipper Pocket Knife, AUS-8 Steel 3" Blade, 4" Aluminum Handle, Multi-color model instead. Love it! And it is unique compared to most other knife styles.
They also have a green micarta , fixed blade that matches this one. Very very good knife. You should check it out. I myself have purchased they're 20,000 mah power bank with solar charging built in. It's been a work horse for me . I've had it for 5 yrs now and no problems.
Nice! I'm going to buy one of these for my wife. She likes liner lock knives and vassilates between thumb stud and flipper knives. I might pick up one fore too.
I agree with your budget, same as mine. And I like buying from Walmart because returns are easy to make if needed! I got the Swiss Tech 7" Assisted Flipper Pocket Knife, AUS-8 Steel 3" Blade, 4" Aluminum Handle, Multi-color, very similar for less than $20 on sale.
George thanks for the heads up they look like good knives and the price point is good. Did you know there is another Swiss army knife? Swiza knives are like SAKs but different the one I have has a locking blade, and the scales are rubber they look like they will last and feel good in your hand. They come sharper and are better made than SAKs. I think it's worth looking at.
Yes George a good looking skinning knife in my opinion. . Nice handle good looking blade. Unfortunately that knife will get me nicked in my country. Thanks for sharing good price too. Hi to Merry
I just bought the fixed-blade version of this at my local WallyWorld for $40. Good knife for the money. Yeah, the canvas micarta is strangely fuzzy. Properly cyro/heat treated AUS 8 is a decent blade steel. The sheath design was what I was looking for. A fixed-blade is only as good as the sheath, otherwise it can't be carried. I carry a fixed-blade for self-defense. No need for something expensive. You'll just make the cop that "confiscated" it all the happier.
Well done aus8 is actually a shockingly good steel in a budget knife. Well heat treated AUS8 absolutely can provide impressive edge retention performance, pretty good stainlessness and fair toughness. A lot of people directly compare it to 8cr13mov and that is false, it is a superior steel to 8cr. It's all about the heat treat, if it's done well you can expect excellent performance. This seems like it's a whole lot of knife for 30 dollars, I'm going to buy one just to do a cut test and sharpen to see how the steel is done up. If the heat treat is good and the hardness is ran in the upper range of AUS8 suggested range... these will be really hard to beat at that price.
AUS8 is not impressive steel. Not at all. The knife is good overall, but Id prefer not to have to sharpen it every time I butter my toast. You get what you pay for, but I need edge retention and toughness
Sure but for me it will do what I need. My use fir any folder I carry is pretty light. Opening boxes, cutting cordopening salt bags etc etc. This will handle that 👌. But I hear you. Nobody wants to sharpen after every use. 🙄. Be safe out therecandcappriciate the comment and support
This knife is absolutely amazing. Trust me I've been figiting with mine for 3 weeks and it's been opened over 2000 times and still as smooth as the first day
I can attest to the sharpness of the Swisstech blades. I got the fixed blade about two weeks after the release date. Within a couple hours, had 7 new stitches in my thumb...wife won't let me play with sharp things anymore.
Thanks for your clip and yes, I'm a knife-lover and yes, I have the same green one you have and yes, I am disappointed with (more than likely) the Swiss knife maker you didn't mention by name and no, the last one was not my first VICTORINOX-Rodeo, but the knife looks like it was slapped together in the Philippines if not worse and i would have send it back if the seller would have offered the slip. Take care and try to stay out of trouble!
Great review George. I've been looking for a knife to keep in my pocket. My small swiss army knife i keep in a drawer. This one I will probably keep in my pocket. We'll see.
If I’m not mistaken, Wenger was the original competitor to Victorinox (the original Swiss Army Knife). Victorinox acquired Wenger in 2005. So that would mean that Swiss Tech is technically a subsidiary of Victorinox.
Aus8 is a nice budget steel, sharpens easily, takes a very good edge, doesn't rust easily. Of course since it's easy to grind and sharpen it isn't going to hold the edge forever, but most of us will damage the edge of a knife and require a honing banging into things long before it wears down. I don't pick knives based on the steel snob stats anymore because I love to sharpen and hone knives. It means if I pick up a knife and it feels good to use I will be happy with it budget permitting.
Just picked on of these up today. For a $30 knife, it's a nice knife, but it needs a LOT of work to be up to par. It opens smoothly, but a few drops of lube make it lightning-quick. And the G10 scales are VERY roughly finished, and a little fuzzy for my liking. I'll be sanding my handles to 600 grit, and then probably giving it a few coats of Renaissance Wax to make it a little more "finished". All that being said, it had good ergonomics, the bright red anodized accents are visually satisfying, and it had positive and solid lock-up with the liner lock. It's a strong, sturdy knife though, and feels solid and well-built. It will definitely go into my rotation of EDC knives...
I grabbed the fixed blade version and it is SOLID. I may go buy this one as it was the one i wanted at first but realized i didnt have a fixed blade yet.
I really love canvas micarta that's very fibrous. That looks like very decent micarta on that knife! If the heat treats are done decently and they aren't ran super soft to save money on grinding then these knives could be amoung the best budget knife values one can buy.
Been seeing them for awhile Everyone likes them. I think they where available on there web site for awhile. I haven't seen in store yet, but will look. Have a great day. Be careful they can be too dropshutty. I've had the blade bounce off thumb
Its almost an exact counterpart to the Petrified Fish D2 folder on Amazon. About the same price too. But the PF knife is a slightly better steal with an impeccable fit and finish. I can't say for sure if its better because I haven't tried the Swiss Tech one yet, but I'd like to.

Hi, nice review. I believe there is a good relationship between Wegner and Victorinox, like Victorinox owns Wegner. Not 100% sure but Wegner was a Swiss army knife Licensee at one time.
it's ambidextrous excepting the liner lock I usually carry left-handed but am right-handed... I'd touch up those rough edges on the handle AUS-8 is good steel, kinda like 440C might have to get one if they ever show up at my store FYI Wenger is GONE! bought out by Victorinox
It's not a Walmart brand it is SWISSTECH who I believe Wal-Mart has exclusive...but not sure. I believe SWISSTECH is owned by Great Star. Thanks for watching..and yes you right about the box 📦....lol
This was the video of yours that I watched! I ordered one from Walmart as soon as I finished watching. I have since bought another! I really enjoyed your presentation and comments. Please enter me into your give away. I continue enjoy your down to earth videos. I hope that your Chanel continues to gain viewers and subscribers! Thank for the effort you put into the reviews.
Hi 2nd Chance George I did go to Walmart today and I got the wu"rDig it is a Sexy knife and at a good price thank you for the Video it help me decide to get it
Nice knife George, great review. I actually picked one up this morning and started watching some reviews (I know doing things backwards 🤪) but it seems like a nice, well made flipper. Definitely has a good fidget factor. Enjoy your videos, new sub 👍
Yep really liking this knife. Been looking at thier other stuff. Very nice....lol..I do things backward all the time. I not even a new style cutter guy, more traditional styles but this really got my attention for sure. Price value unreal. Be safe out there and appriciate the support. Be safe out there
Yep definitely might be a keeper. I'm sitting here fidgeting with the flipper all morning. 😅 I forgot to say thanks for reminding us to dig a little further into the box. I wasn't aware of the little bag, piece of parachord and history but on the inside. Take care.
Curious to see how it works out. I have quite a few multitools but none from Swiss Tech. Always love when you can find something of quality at a reasonable price 🤔 I love Leatherman's but the prices just continue to climb and although no doubt they're quality they've become quite expensive. Like you, I'm on a budget,😉 let us know what you think.
Bought one. Wasn't happy with the 25° edge that came on it. Used my Ken onion to put a high polished 20° edge on it and my God is it scary sharp now. I'm very happy with it for 30$. Will probabaly buy the fixed blade next to best up instead of my high dollar bark river lol
I hear you. Alot of people feel the same way. But truth be told I cannot afford the USA blades I would like. It wouldn't own a blade. I do try to support locally and these guys at least come from the USA 🇺🇸 . But like everybody cannot compete in the knife market doing the manufacturing locally and stay in business. Its a sad way unfortunately. Thanks for watching I appriciate your support and respect your ideals. Be safe out there
I have become a fan of SwissTech. I have the knife you reviewed as well as the fixed blade version. I bought a second Würdig with the black handle for my EDC. Also got one of their multi tools. Walmart just came out with the Swiss Tech machete and hatchet. At first the hatchet left me cold, I thought it was a spike which I have no use for. But it is not a spike, it is a mattock like digging tool that might just be useful. So I ordered both, as they are not available in store yet. Now I just need a Swiss Tech folding saw and life will be complete! BTW, the Swiss Tech cutting tools Walmart is selling are exclusive to Walmart. Sorry for the lengthy reply, but these tools are best bang for the buck and I am excited about them.
I got the Wurdig and Stalhern about 7 months ago when Wallyworld had their initial limited run available. Very good knives for the money. The folders are comparible to knives 2 and three times the price. The handles are a bit blocky and I don't like the red accents but well worth the price
Hit up my local wally world fishing section thats it. clerk didnt know what was up with no knives at all. today not a single knife in the display cases a couple fishing knives in the fishing aisle thats it.
Update to my post from last nite: Just picked one of these knives up. Im 55 and love the classics (Buck 110 and 112) and Rat 1. And im on a very tight budget,so always looking for the best i can afford. This knife...punches in far above its price. If it said Benchmade on it,itd cost $200. Lifetimw warranty, excellent build quality, and im loving it more and more. Made by Greatstar Manufacturing..same folks who make snap.on ,milwaukee and craftsman tools.
this knife is priced absurdly, and in a good way. i would easily drop 60, 70 dollars (based off the packaging as well) for it if the micarta was cleaned up around the edges. their fixed blade version i’ve got an issue with. increasing the belly size and changing the handle material to something more shock absorbent, as well as making the pivot point on the sheath harder to rotate would make it far better, in my opinion.
Much anticipated knife. Locally, the Walmart has only received a few of these knives. They have sold out very quickly. So finding one may be a challenge. If you see it on the shelf, better go for it right away. Walmart has a good price on this one. Initial reviews are positive.
I went to walmart yesterday my Walmart was out and the person who came to the counter was rude and lazy did not want to go behind the counter to see if they had any of the Swiss TEC knives I wañted to buy
I went onLine and ordered the knife from Walmart. When the package arrived, I opened it and the box was empty. It had been pilfered. Took the box to Walmart and got a refund and purchased the knife over the counter. I’m happy with it and carry it all the time. Good edge and good flipper action.
Almost bought one a couple weeks ago, it felt very nice in the store. They've been on the website for awhile, they have a few interesting models. I think I might try one out soon! Also, I was under them impression it was being sold under the Swiss+Tech brand as well lol.
Great review! The 2 walMart stores in my area never have any of them. I’ll keep my eyes open for them. I would love to do a review on them too. Great job George!
Interesting. If I'm not mistaken, Swiss Tech started as a bag company for like computers and backpacks but i could be wrong. The knife looks nice. I wonder who is producing them for the company? Kinda reminds me of a Civivi design.
Not sure of the background. I know Swiss+tech do bags etc. I did get a comment from them on the video which is always nice to hear from manufactures. I'll try ask. It's really hard to find a website on them. Everything goes to Walmart site. Here's hoping I can get some info. Really like this knife. Thanks for the support always appriciated
If it's owned by Wenger like you said, then it is a Switzerland owned company. Wenger and Victorianox are both makers of the authentic Swiss Army Knives
To be honest trying to find information about them is extremely difficult. I am not sure who owns them. Thanks for watching and commenting much appriciated
Glad to see you like our Würdig, George! Our team is proud of the design and we're excited to offer it at a price that allows so many people to enjoy!

@waynepeters4611 I believe its walmart only. You can go thier website...Swisstechoutdoors.com...I believe. But not sure 😕

Lol...it so complicated with all these Swiss tech stuff. Cannot figure it out. Thanks for watching always appriciated 👍
I liked it so much I had to go back and buy a second! Great video, George. :-)
Well glad to help. It was a great find for sure. You be safe now. 🙏
Thanks George ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊I like it a lot 😀
Yep it a good un for sure. Thanks for watching always appriciated 👍
Thanks for sharing my enthusiasm for this knife
Yep
Have you seen the matching fixed blade Swisstech Stahlern? Same handle material. $39.99
Awesome knife too, I'm going to but that folder too
Yep
it's ambidextrous excepting the liner lock
I usually carry left-handed but am right-handed...
I'd touch up those rough edges on the handle
AUS-8 is good steel, kinda like 440C
might have to get one if they ever show up at my store
FYI Wenger is GONE! bought out by Victorinox
Yep, did not know about Wenger, thanks for the support. And be safe out there
AUS-8 is way better a knife steel than 440C. I absolutely hate sharpening 440c. D-2 is my favorite knife steel.
The box alone is better than a bunch of major brands lol. This knife is amazing! Can't believe this is a Walmart brand.
It's not a Walmart brand it is SWISSTECH who I believe Wal-Mart has exclusive...but not sure. I believe SWISSTECH is owned by Great Star. Thanks for watching..and yes you right about the box 📦....lol
@@2ndchancegeorgeWalmart does own swisstech
Ok, thanks for clearing that up. It was confusing 😕. Be safe and thanks for watching 👍
I cannot transfer the comment, but if you just go to give away post done and you in. Many thanks for the support and good luck
Hi 2nd Chance George I did go to Walmart today and I got the wu"rDig it is a Sexy knife and at a good price thank you for the Video it help me decide to get it
Good for you. We'll worth the pennies for my budget. Be safe out there. Thanks for watching always appriciated 👍
Take care.
@@SpacecityEDC you too
@SpacecityEDC I just picked up a multi-tool from them. Going to check it out today.
Nice. Very nice knife for the price. I have not looked at the fixed blades yet. Thanks for watching appriciate the support
If George approved, then it's a win for everyone!
Lol.....true story, well I think
Just bought this knife. I love it as my everyday carry!
Solid cutter for the money. Be safe.
I got a rechargeable flashlight from the same company for about forty bucks. And its amazing
I'm not sure if it's from the same company. SWISS TECH or Swiss + Tech. But hey if it's good it's good. Thanks for watching much appriciated.
I went and bought one just because of your video!! LOL. Great Review!!
Lol...hope it meets your expectations. Appriciate the support and be safe
Ya had me up until China. Total deal breaker for me.
Be safe out there
I'd be willing to buy it if it were made in Taiwan or Vietnam.
Try finding an outdoors product in Walmart that isn't Chinese made.....SIGH
@@edwardfletcher7790 I broke down and bought it anyway. I carry everyday and use it for everything.
Yep theyvare exclusive. Swiss tech just sent me the 3 new items...lol. stay tuned.
@@2ndchancegeorge don’t know about the 3rd new item, is it the saw I am wanting? Eagerly awaiting your review!
@gregritchie9375 lol...me too. I don'tnt know what they are. 🤒 let you know when they arrive
Hatchet, machete and a lighter..
@@2ndchancegeorge Lighter…..Hmmmm…..My interest is peaked!
👍🏼I’ve been liking those. Haven’t got one yet.
It's a very nice nice. 👌
Gonna pick one up. Thanks George 👍🏻
You won't be dissapointed. Be safe
Thanks George and yes, I'm a knife guy and no, I didn't know
anything about Wuerdig and yes, I'll get one a. s. a. p.!
Lol. Thanks for watching 👍 always appriciated
10 - 4 !
I got the Wurdig and Stalhern about 7 months ago when Wallyworld had their initial limited run available. Very good knives for the money. The folders are comparible to knives 2 and three times the price. The handles are a bit blocky and I don't like the red accents but well worth the price
Nice. Agree they are well worth the price for sure. Be safe and appriciate the support. Be safe
I just bought the fixed-blade Stalherm for $40 at my WallyWorld. Good product for the money.
Nice. Seen some good reviews on it. Be safe
swiss tech is so-so
I have yet to see this at my walmart
NOT all walmarts are the same...
Yep true story, try online. My one has one left....thanks for watching, appriciated
10 minutes into review and no mention of how SHARP the thing is, how important is a knife being sharp? KEY!
Well it was sharp. Thanks for watching 👍
bloody good review ....im buying one !!!
Thankyou appriciate the support..enjoy it and be safe
Got mine a month ago, love it!
Yep. It certainly impressed me for sure. Going back to look for more...lol. be safe and thanks for the support
We have two Walmarts with a 20 mile radius, and niether one ever has knives in stock.
Machetes and axes out the ying yang, but no knives!
Online...at walmart.com
Crap! that won't work for me, I'm dangerous with credit cards!!!
@@bearellie6985..lol...😂😂😂. I fell your pain..they have other products as well..😮😮😮. Watch out. Lol. Be safe
Thanks brother, have fun.🙂
Hit up my local wally world fishing section thats it. clerk didnt know what was up with no knives at all. today not a single knife in the display cases a couple fishing knives in the fishing aisle thats it.
That's a bummer.....wally world what can I say. My local was like that until about a month ago....go figure. Be safe
Yep, well worth the money. Apprciate the feed back. Be safe
this knife is priced absurdly, and in a good way. i would easily drop 60, 70 dollars (based off the packaging as well) for it if the micarta was cleaned up around the edges.
their fixed blade version i’ve got an issue with. increasing the belly size and changing the handle material to something more shock absorbent, as well as making the pivot point on the sheath harder to rotate would make it far better, in my opinion.
Yep. Agree. Appreciate the support and be safe out there
Much anticipated knife. Locally, the Walmart has only received a few of these knives. They have sold out very quickly. So finding one may be a challenge. If you see it on the shelf, better go for it right away. Walmart has a good price on this one. Initial reviews are positive.
True story. Thanks for stopping by.. much appriciated.
Good video I like 👍 knives as well
Lol...wait you mean there are people who don't...shame on them...thanks for watching always appriciate your support 👍
Hi George! You're Second Chance George - my name is actually Last Chance! Nice to meet my second self! 😂
Hello there!, that's funny. be safe out there it is your last chance
aus8 steel? If it is heat treated right I am going to buy one!
Have no idea....lol. but the blade is very nice. Thanks for watching and be safe
I went to walmart yesterday my Walmart was out and the person who came to the counter was rude and lazy did not want to go behind the counter to see if they had any of the Swiss TEC knives I wañted to buy
Lol...its walmart...you not suprised are you. Try online on walmart. Be safe
I went onLine and ordered the knife from Walmart. When the package arrived, I opened it and the box was empty. It had been pilfered. Took the box to Walmart and got a refund and purchased the knife over the counter. I’m happy with it and carry it all the time. Good edge and good flipper action.
Wow...did you get a refund?. That's an a real bummer. Glad you like it. Awesome for the price. Thanks for commenting and be safe
Almost bought one a couple weeks ago, it felt very nice in the store. They've been on the website for awhile, they have a few interesting models. I think I might try one out soon! Also, I was under them impression it was being sold under the Swiss+Tech brand as well lol.
Yeah that got me....I am looking at another one from them. Thanks for watching, always appriciated
Great review! The 2 walMart stores in my area never have any of them.
I’ll keep my eyes open for them. I would love to do a review on them too.
Great job George!
Thankyou appreciate it. Have you looked on walmart. Com.
@@2ndchancegeorge No , but I think I’ll have to.
I live in the sticks and our Wal Mart stores are smaller ones.
They don’t have huge selections.
I hear you. Living in the sticks is not a bad thing. I wish I did..lol. be safe
@@2ndchancegeorge Thank you sir!
You too!👍👊
Interesting.
Ok I did find them on UA-cam. Look em up the history is on the about page. They are now owned by Great Star. 👍...still looking for website..lol
I remember seeing those bags at officemax
Made in China.
@@kennybooboo3926 swiss + Tech make bags..different company
If it's owned by Wenger like you said, then it is a Switzerland owned company.
Wenger and Victorianox are both makers of the authentic Swiss Army Knives
To be honest trying to find information about them is extremely difficult. I am not sure who owns them. Thanks for watching and commenting much appriciated
Picked one up today and the blade is not even close to being centered. It is touching one of the sides when closed. Going back today.
Argh that's a bummer. Hopefully they got another one. Be safe
Well guess I am going to Walmart tomorrow. Thanks George.
Lol...good luck. It selling out all over. Thanks for the support. Be safe

I have one for sale. It's the aluminum with carbonfiber inlay.. brand new in box
I did a search online and couldn't find a single one of these Wurdig knives. What am I doing wrong?
It's only at Walmart. Search wurdig. They are out of green, but black is still available. Hope this helps. Be safe.
Everyone seems to be stupid when it comes to knives. Just Google good knife steel and you will know more than 99% of everybody else.
Well true 👍
I wanna say ifs a sheeps foot design blade. But could be a drop point.
Yep kinda inbetween. Still a great knife. Very impressed with it. Appriciate you stopping by. Be safe out there.
