Thanks for another great video! I recently started to practice scratching because i want to extend my repertoire. Laughed my ass off when heard you say that even doing back and forth baby scratch :D you're so right. I've done same back and forth movement days and days but I still find it difficult to be precise on timing if I have to do baby scratch or play only a beat with drums(with little bit faster tempo) for longer time. It always gets kind of out of hands at some point.

Every scratch tutorial on youtube is all about the baby or scribble scratch, quite rare to find a decent lesson on scratches that include the crossfader and how you work it with your fingers. Yes practice makes perfect, its when you dont know what to practice that makes it so frustrating. It blows my mind thinking how old school hip hop djs like jazzy jeff can do what they can, yet this day an age we have youtube, and still it seems impossible to really learn the art of djing.

Niceyour video's Jonathan i am a old school Dj playing on vinyl and cds in my young days i playd in clubs and party's and stopt my career in 2003 i sold my mixer cd units and platers after al this time the bug bites and i like to restart i saw a lot of you tube movies on the Pioneers and software ! I am gone buy the xdj rx for again do my mixes at home any advice from you ! I gone by a labtop Apple the rx but i can mix by ear i now already al the taps effects and butins on the rx do you think its posible to return after such a long absence i mostly playd techno trance and latin house ! I love Your video's they are verry instructive thank you for that
David Decrick the xdj rx is the best m8xer in the market as an alternative to spending $10k on two cdjs nexus 2000 plus the mixer.
Same hear bought an rx. To learn digital mixin as against vynal djing 20 yrs ago the problem is i thort it would take 6 months or more to suss it all out Wrong 6 hrs. Like riding a bike u never forget how to beat match. So I've saved up for nexus s and u my rx with my nexus set up great bit of kit and quick to set up and u can record it mix straight to ur flash
