It's perfect for anyone, even extremely seasoned DJs. Most djs don't even use the extra features on 2000s, etc. This is an amazing bit of kit, for an amazing price.
Excellent summary/comparison/video. I am interested in the XDJ RX-2 but didn't know much about its predecessor so this was very helpful. FWIW I think that color changing sign with your logo was making the (auto?) white balance change throughout the video. John Brier

i think Pioneer XDJ RX will get cult status in the future... i got nexus, but i jusl love the XDJ RX. perfect sizem, and i love the hotcue pads.... so easy to use!

hi there. great vid! starting to think bout buying one of these as want to move from traktor. whats the platter when mixing compared to the 2000s in relation to the repsonse when slowing down or speeding up.
The platters respond in the same way as cdjs as in the faster the movement the sharper it nudges the track. However they do feel quite loose as if the CDJ tension setting is set nearly all the way round to light. Also they’re smaller in size so you may have to travel a little further than on a CDJ to make a similar adjustment.

What is your goal with it? Something you do as a hobby at home and at small parties or would you eventually be looking to play in clubs. Also do you own a decent laptop already as the Numark is a controller and needs one to run whereas the XDJ RX and RX2 are standalone units.
What if your DJ work requires you to take endless requests and you never get to follow your playlist? I have heard that these all in ones are not good for song browsing in that way and that they might not show you what songs have already been played. Should I just stick with a laptop or could this work for someone who can't follow a playlist?
+synapticflow Maybe get the R1 instead cause it lets you run remote box on an iPad and easily search any track rather than scrolling through endless playlists. (the music is not played off the iPad, the iPad or iPhone just acts as a screen for browsing through the files on a USB drive. This way you can have an all in one unit that you can practice on at home with just usb, use at gigs with a laptop or remote box + USB.
XDJ RX build with 4 faders it can be better our 4 channel mixer build in the XDJ RX it can be better... and so i have one pioneer 850 it can make good deal to connect my cdj on the mixer 4 channel XDJ RX ... i need to wait for new one pioneer XDJ RX 4 channel mixer thank you for support and help
JPnumark Pimenta They'll never make it with 4 channels. That would detract from a pro nexus setup. Besides the rx-mk2 has been leaked in the rekordbox 5 intro video on the pioneer channel at the 1:53 mark... It has 2 channels.

yup im considering it because its a few hundred bucks cheaper and supports dvs as well... the only thing that im concerned about is that I won't be able to play with a standard cdj-2000+ djm-900 club setup because im so used to mixing with software... thx for the advise 👍

Crossfader and one more question :) what should I buy or xdj rx or 2x xdj700 and djm 250 mk2. because im stuck between them 2 set ups both have pluses and minuses. what u would buy if had to pick one from them 2 setups. thanks for your time mate
+Dj AMIC if I were buying them for myself personally I would probably go for the XDJ RX but purely because I like tactile buttons for hot cues and the performance features rather than a touch screen. That's my main reason. The only benefit I would say to the XDJ + DJM set up is being able to upgrade certain part. Newer xdjs/ cdjs or a newer mixer. Rather than have to sell up the whole unit to upgrade. Not that you would need an upgrade particularly though.

You can record what ever you want and then import it into record box to analyze the beat grid and then name the sample.

Just bring a simple mix exported from Ableton with you and play during the dinner. Easy!
