He has probably one of the most unique voices of any person out there too so its some really REALLY big shoes to fill if they continue to use the Sylas character and not kill him off screen at the start of Horizon 3. Killing an important character off screen is something I fucking hate the most but it often happens in situations where the VA or actor of said character is either incapable of playing the character(usually due to disputes) or they've died
Made me cry when I saw Nova asking Aloy to kill her. An AI wanting death even though it’s nothing more than code, for her to understand something like that, to know she has had enough, she’s far more human than her creator… rest in peace Nova ❤
Tbh I thought that was kind of shit because I feel like Aloy's personality would have wanted to try and save the AI. Aloy certainly has the resources to help the AI and it would give Aloy a sidekick of sorts for future adventures to bounce ideas off of.

You forgot to include the optional conversation with Admiral Gerrit. Totally understandable, because it's easy to miss and requires you to seek him out before talking to Seyka. Guerrilla honestly could have done a better job of making him a larger part of the story of Burning Shores as was hinted in the trailers and interviews. 🔥🌊

Sylens is right as usual, the Quen are insufferable, I miss the carja and oseran, hope next game takes us to the oseran homeland which is just north of the carja lands.

However, I hope that the Burning Shores isn't the only DLC. I'm praying that they'll be more content and other areas to explore within the Forbidden West like the mountains to the north of No Man's Land. There's a ruin in the distance and I believe it may have to do with the Oseram.

@Zachary Shannon I doubt it. The only way we get another DLC is if we need to get Hephaetus. But that will likely be the first and second act of Horizon 3 before Nemesis arrives.

even the first game is relatively quick to finish but yes I agree that was fast. I finish Zero dawn in 4 days. Frozen Wilds in 1, Forbidden West in 8 (cauldrons were hard for me ^^)

The fight with the metal devil was intense! I loved it. I'm imagining what 21st century people in this world would've had to deal with when they were fully functional. I hope we can see one resurrected in the 3rd game. No more Zeniths hopefully and more on Haphaestus and more AI's. Sorry we couldn't learn more about Nova. Sylens is truly an enigma. Now that Lance is gone, I wonder who they will get to play Sylens. They will have some huge shoes to fill.

Don't get me wrong, since her condition was pretty bad, how she was manipulated and forced to do something she didn't want to, she still a person to Aloy who see her as her own sister. Maybe she's more focus to helping Aloy instead of being in a relationship which is distracting her.
Unlike Aloy, she is doing everything all alone, not to mention about how she barely know anything to people she interacted to and her curiosity leads her to a better life. I like Aloy's relationship, anything that the devs wanted Aloy want to be. I'm all for it

It's highly likely they will keep Sylens as is, using AI technology. Star Wars is the best example. Carrie Fisher died a year before the release of Last Jedi, but Leia was still in it. As well as in Rise of Skywalker. So yeah. My guess is Sylens will stay, but the next game will be way more costly for Guerilla Games, because they're gonna have to use CGI and AI voice.
I hope the next Horizon game will allow *_Nemesis_* to be redeemed rather than having to only destroy it. Also multiple possible endings would be very nice!
I hope Nemesis isn’t just some rampaging force of mechanical nature. There is a ton of potential to make Nemesis tragic or even redeemable. Not just “oh I destroyed the Sirius System by accident” but more a whirlwind of hatred and regret. Of course the Zenith’s see Nemesis as the harbinger of the apocalypse and rightfully so. Hell even Aloy has that right considering who made Hades sentient and go on a rampage. (Side note Hades mentions that he has “Masters” instead of “Master”, implying Nemesis isn’t a singular individual in some way).
However Nemesis seems to hate the Zeniths and now they are all dead. If Nemesis needs to be a villain then make it a villain by necessity, where the A.I. is sympathetic but too insane and dangerous to keep on living.

While the build up was realistic, the tension and all, i did like her character, but i have a feeling she won't be featured any longer, though i hope she is.....i just really hate it when romances come out of no where, like in a TV series where the first 5+ seasons, there was zero spark of any kind and then suddenly at the end, 'i love you' is said and i am like 'WTF? i never saw a hint of it,' it ultimately ruins it.
I love the build up, the tension, the sudden closeness and then shying away like Aloy did in this DLC....its so cool.

Cultural upbringing. The Quen were raised to believe that the Ancestors were divine figures. Encountering a Living Ancestor is basically like Ares coming down from Mount Olympus and telling a Spartan soldier to follow his orders.

@@moonmoon2479 - Gotta remember that Aloy had been put off by female advances before and had strong feelings for Varl in the previous games, so it DOES come off as out of character if one doesn't allow for character growth. Personally, I have no issue with Aloy being bi and just not having found the right lass until Seyka (and Petra WAS a bit strong in her flirtations while Aloy was still fairly new to the world outside), but I can see why it might come off as jarring for some folks. ESPECIALLY with the level of pandering a lot of media throws out there to try to woo our money, not realizing they go over the top with it and make it insulting and parody-level rather than an integral part of a good story. This is one of the cases where they got it right, but it can be overshadowed by the glut of trying-to-hard media out there.
Not really honestly, I think the relationship was developed well and works quite nicely in the context of the story.
