The way Aloy was acting all nervous around Seyka, it reminded me of how I felt when I met my wife. I was so nervous for Aloy, all while hoping she replicates her feelings and I am overwhelmed with joy at Aloy getting the beginnings of happiness. I tip my hat to Guerrilla Games for making me so attached to a character. Sadly, I won't be able to play the DLC due to it being a PS5 exclusive, but thanks to you for giving the whole playthrough.

I'm so glad a friend of mine recommended this series to me a couple years back. At the time, Horizon seemed like the type of game where I would feel out of my element. The moment the storytelling and voice acting began in Zero Dawn, however, I was immediately hooked... not to mention the eerie yet beautifully designed world that pulls you in and leaves so much to be explored. I did find the game mechanics challenging to get used to at first, but it didn't take long to get into the groove of things. Forbidden West was a whole other vibe, and I loved witnessing Aloy's character development. You know a game is good when you grow attached to the characters. Can't wait to play this DLC!
I can now understand why this is a PS5 exclusive. That bossfight was top tier in my opninion. Imagine trying to load a city sized robot in 4K, full detailed, in 60 FPS and thousands of particles and lighing on a 10 year old console like the PS4. Honestly I wouldn't mind if the graphics aren't so freaking good like it is in the ps5, as long as I can play it with my current console I couldn't care less. It seems cruel that forbidden west is supported by ps4 but not its much more interesting dlc 😓
The game is proficient in taking a desire (to fight a horus) and build a story around it. It doesn't extend lore - as Frozen Wildes - but content largely to replay the last thirty minutes of the main game. It's therefore a gamer's game. I did think the last act was well-handled; you're not quite sure whether Aloy is being kind, or feels more toward Sekya which is a good way to leave it. From the perspective of just the core story, I'd rate it at 70%.

I honestly don't understand how some people think their "relationship" is rushed. I mean, after all that? After all they've gone through together? Their time together might be a few days timeline-wise but, I think it's enough foundation for two people to be interested in each other. They're not technically married, so I guess saying that it's rushed doesn't make sense. Also, they had their moments together, and if you've experienced liking another person, then you won't fail to notice the signs.

That was a great playthrough MK. The Horus fight lived up to the hype. The first ending you showed was a little bit of a surprise.....but I won't complain about it, the developers are going to do what they want to do when creating their game.
Yeah, I also didn't expect it but it's perfectly fine. It's their game so they'll do what they want, and the character building actually was really well so it makes sense.
Seyka is just like the character i have been imagining that will suit aloy. I really like their dynamic. She is a perfect balance of what aloy needs. A partner in a fight, and someone willing and headstrong enough to break rules when needed. And someone that understands. And someone that cares for others as much as she does. Kotallo and talannah have been my top partners for her from the previous games. Ikrie a close second. But they all lacked something or in ikrie and talannah's case, someone distracted them. I hope seyka becomes a main character in the next game. And this relationship continues to be explored.
Oh my gods yes. I have been scrolling through every comment section and twitter and majority have been so negative about this wonderful pair. It almost made me feel like i have been playing a different game from them. I mean, was it not obvious from the very start that aloy is interested in women? I mean even with VALA she had this tension with already. And that was in the first 30 mins of zero dawn. Character wise Seyka really is great for Aloy. Kotallo and Talannah were my top for her before though still not perfect. But Seyka? Skills, wits, emotional and understanding is a perfect match. And they way Aloy is Gay panicking over Seyka is way too adorable hahaha.
Imho it felt kinda forced. It overall didn’t make sense to me. Aloy has been established as a character who doesn’t have time or energy to fall in love with someone and I don’t understand what Seyka specifically has that makes her unique from the rest of the characters of the franchise. I like Seyka, don’t get me wrong. She’s an awesome character! But she kinda shares a lot of similarity too other characters. And while it was super cute how Aloy flirted/acted awkward it felt unnatural for her character. Subtle flirting from time to time would be enough, but they made Aloy who is generally very careful and subtle when it comes to bonding with other people act like Seyka was the love of her life who she just met. Basically I think Guerilla pushed it too much. I don’t mean to hate! Like I said it was still cute

But overall, i think what this shows is that it is aloy starting to open up and grow. The way aloy is acting is her having her first crush. Her first feelings for another person that she is accepting. I love how she is now starting to open up to accepting that she can have those feelings too, all the while saving the world. Heck, seyka might not even be end game (though i would love that). Aloy still has a lot to do, thus the ending where they still seperate. Yes they kissed, but in the end they still separated. So basically, in the end, aloy is still very much canonically single. But, she started, and that alone is beautiful. There is a potential and a good stepping stone to start on with the next game. Ps. I don't mean to say that she hasn't had feelings before. This is just the first one she is accepting because she has grown and experienced a lot more. If she met Seyka when she was still so focused on finding her mom, i bet she wouldn't have acted on her feelings too, like she had with all the others.
Despite everything ppl say, Burning Shores is quite good DLS and an important one for the Horizon's plot. But the 3d ending seems to me the most logical and suitable for Aloy as for her character. She's the type of woman who doesn't need romantic relationships. (There's just only one more character like this, and it's Elsa from Frozen. :D But I am going to do research for more examples like them! They are important.) Aloy can admire Seyka (and vice versa), there's a room for friendship and collaboration while fighting against Nemesis in the future Horizon 3, but romance? I'm sorry, but no. No time, no need for this, really. Not for such type of personality as Aloy's. P.S.: This is my vision of the situation, and I will not answer to those who might argue with this comment in a possible future. I am strong in my opinion and vision of Aloy. Presumably this is the final game for this character’s adventures. I think it would probably be best if the devs let us have more control over that. I feel it would be more fun that way.
