I have the G3TORO and it’s been great. I like everything about it,shoots and feels really good. I seen some guys doing some testing on their shooting. The G3 beat the higher priced guns on the group testing. Those guys were amazed has I was too. I have used Hornaday Critical Defense and for target shooting I use CCI Blazer. When target shooting the CCI Blazer really seems to run clean. Great video
I've got 2 gx4's and 2 G3c's. Love these guns. Great triggers. Dependable. Affordable. This shows me that paying twice as much for a Glock, Ruger or Sig is a waste of money.
Ha ha I used to regard the Taurus polymer autoloaders as .... crap. But now I own a G3 and G3C and they are both excellent pistols. I also have a couple of Taurus revolvers - the 44 Mag Tracker and 605 .357 Mag 5-shot snub nose. Again, both revolvers are great. Taurus has come a long way.

Thanks very informative, I have to say, I've owned many pistols over the years & I've always kinda shyed away from a Taurus, but I've been watching alot of the G3 reviews because I had some one recommend it at a gun store & i liked the feel & the price. But after checking out all the reviews I have to buy it just to see if it really does as well as it seems to, because I have not seen a single malfunction yet. & After reading all the comments aswell i gotta get it because the one im looking at comes with 2 17rd mags for $255.99 thats insane to me. Hell im actually excited about it...
Don’t listen to the nonsense about Taurus. My first was a tcp.380 many years ago then a g2c , spectrum and now a g3 . All 4 have ran without 1 single failure no matter what ammo I use .
What blew me away on my g3 was when i took my concealed carry class I brought it with and got to shoot everybody else's pistols. A SAR9, an hkvp9 and a sig 365. 5 rounds in each gun I decided to finish my ammo on the taurus. It feels so good in the hand. Points well, blasts well and is pretty darn accurate. I will be carrying my mom's old bersa thunder unless I find a way to conceal the g3 because that thing is huge. But it shoots so well I could go to war with it so I'll still explore holsters for it and see what I can get away with.
I love all of thim g2c the g3 the g3c all amazing guns I just can't believe it for the price thank you toris if u see this I'm a big big fan of your quality
I can not wait to finally get my G3!! I ordered it 2 1/2 weeks ago! I live in communist New Jersey, so hopefully I’ll have it this week sometime. Thank you for the review, I’ve heard mostly good things about the G3
I have a G2C and a TH9C, and both are rock solid pistols. I am considering a G3 or Glock 19 to replace the G2C. Only reason I'm considering the Glock is magazine compatibility with my PCC.
I love my G3! I have put at least 3,000 rounds through mine with no issues at all. I’ve owned a colt 1911, Sig P220, and had to stop shooting 45 ACP due to arthritis in my hand. The G3 and G3c are great!
Love mine, came with 2 15 rd mags and factory black cerakote on the slide which seems to be pretty damn durable. I polished the feed ramp and added Ameriglo night sights. Probably will get a trl7 light for it soon. Paid 300 for mine during the pandemic
Bruce Esterline January 17, 2020. Taurus announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Bret Vorhees as Chief Executive Officer of Taurus Holdings, Inc., which encompasses Taurus USA, Rossi and Heritage Manufacturing product lines. Vorhees recently left his position as VP of Sales and Marketing at Walther Arms, where he spent the last 6 years in an executive leadership role and focused on building a premium brand through successful new product innovations, as well as leading a dynamic sales team. In addition to his passion for high-quality firearms, Vorhees has also focused his career on developing close relationships throughout the shooting sports industry.
I was more accurate with the G3 VS the HK VP9 .. The trigger is comparable too.. it blew my mind ... Way better than people give it credit for... Never had a failure either...it could use a better slide finish but that's no deal breaker at the price... Plus they can run Sig 226 ,Canik Tp9, Berreta 92, & Walther PDP Mags
Just picked up one of these at a Black Friday sale. Paid $224.99 for it. After I receive the $25 rebate Taurus is doing rn I will have less than $200 in the gun. Like I told my wife, "it was such a good deal that it would have been wasting money if I DIDNT buy it!"
Will you check out the mossberg MC2 series. All I know is that it takes down pretty uniquely and that the slide and barrel is 416 stainless steel. While other guns That cost more have carbon steel slides I won’t mention the brand names.
I'm sure Glock is a great firearm I have never shot one I have held one but couldn't never afford to buy one I love all my Taurus's I own 3 have had 0 issues Taurus is a working man's gun 👍
I used to have a Taurus PT92 and a piece did break in it and I got rid of the gun years ago. I do have a G3 and a G3C that is now strapped to my hip and they both are shooting fine, The G3 is used that has four fifteen round mags with it. Have seen a couple reviews who given the G3 some bad scores on, that points to the mag problem mostly. Both of mine seems not to find good hollow points to feed from.
Randomly saw this in my feed. I got my G3 right around the time they switched to glock style sights. I have roughly 2500 rounds through mine with only one or two hiccups due to a weak magazine spring. Honestly, if you like a manual safety like me then this is a good choice. I actually swapped the trigger with a SAO trigger from Keep Tinkering
I carry that same gun when I go backpacking. I run Underwood plus P147 grain flat nose in it when I'm in the Backwoods. I either carriy a Taurus G2c when I'm carrying concealed or I carry a Ruger EC9s. Not to say I wouldn't carry my G3 concealed but I would probably do it much more in the winter time when I have thicker clothing on. I would also change those rounds out because I don't want to kill the five people behind the person I'm trying to shoot. Mine came with two different 17 round mags. I had to buy the 15 round mag separate but I seriously think they mixed the magazines up in the store I bought my gun at because they're notorious for not sending the same gun out in the same box they bought it from or messing around with their guns before they sell them. I got a Taurus G3c mag for my Taurus G2 when I bought it. It works but the G3 has a part where you can grip the mag and supposedly pull it out if it jams which the G2c doesn't have. It is what it is. Nothing that I can't live without.
I have a G3-C and also a G3X. Both have been very reliable and I have run numerous brands of ammo thru both. I did find that the G3-C does not like the brass painted rounds, where the coating comes off and fouls up the gun. For the money, both are better deals then going with Glock. Overall, Taurus has made great strides since they started building these in Georgia. Both good guns for the money.
My daughter and I got G2Cs back after the "recall" for our two PT24/7 .45s...disappointing they don't make a G in .45! Two 12rd mags for each G2C...then I saw a G3 TORO that followed me home with the 15 and 17 rd mags...then came Thanksgiving and Black Friday, 2022...Cabela's had the G3C for $199.99! But they were out and Sportsmans Warehouse price matched Cabela's, AND they had Buy One Get One 12 round G3C mags, and two of THEM followed me home so my daughter and I have three 12 rd mags for all there of our C's, plus I have another two MECGAR P226 18rd mags with sleeves from Bloody Wheels... Then I figured out that G3 Kydex Holsters will fit Polymer 80 (V2) and PSA Daggers with a little work with a heat gun, mainly on the front of the trigger guard area where all of the kydex holsters seem to lock. And Canik mags work in the G's too! They normally won't lock the slide back, but still! I won't mention how if you drill a 1/4" hole in the right place on the front of the mag it will also work using the Security 9/SR9 mag well on a Ruger PC9 Carbine (no bolt hold open...) FYI: that mag trick with the PC9 I didn't mention works with almost any older metal double stack 9mm mag. It seems until recently almost ALL double stack metal 9mm mags were based on the Hi Power mag TUBE. The feed lips, mag catch holes and followers are the differences between them...I have a 33rd KCI Beretta 92 mag that came with the 92 mag catch hole, the Canik/G3 hole, the Ruger P85 hole, and the Springfield XD hole. Filing about 1/16" off the TOP of that hole makes it fit the PC9 nicely. I have plans to incorporate it into all of my mags so I have a rifle to go with any and all of my metal mag pistols! A versatile firearm series, indeed! {!-{>
This is my second pistol I've bought next to my Canik TP9 I didn't know much about the reputation of Taurus but when I looked at the G3 next to the Glock I liked how it looked more than I did the Glock hahaha
I used to carry a s&w sigma 9mm which was very similar to a Glock 19 but with a better trigger imo so I’m thinking about picking one of these up since they are the same size idk i can’t decide between this an the g3c
The G3 is a compact and too big for me to use for concealed carry but others might be able to conceal it. I am pretty much restricted to sub compact and micro compact. Although I did conceal a compact in the past but not very well.
The G3 is a full sized pistol. The g3c is a compact hence the "c" in g3c. Sub compact and compact are pretty much interchangeable terms because different companies call different sized guns different names. My wife has a Taurus G2c and my sub compact XD9 is just as big and thicker. I would recommend the Taurus Gx4 its a micro and can accomodate 11 and 13 rd mags!
@@gavinbaker3886 A full size pistol is the size of a 1911 with a five inch barrel and long grip. The G3 is not that with a four inch barrel and shorter grip so it is a compact but some compacts can have shorter barrels under four inches and a large grip. The G3c is a sub compact with a three inch barrel and smaller frame. A micro compact like a GX4 is pocket size and even smaller. I have a compact, several sub compacts, and a micro compact. If the pistol is bigger than pocket size then its a sub compact. If its bigger than sub compact size then its a compact. If its bigger than compact size then its full size. Frame size is going to dictate what size pistol it is.
@@rbm6184 You are wrong. Literally TaurusUSA says it in plain english on their website the G3 is a full size pistol. Just because a 1911 from 100 years ago has a 5 in barrel doesnt mean all full size pistol specs are based on the specs of a 1911. You are just simply wrong on that one.
@@rbm6184 Go read what the MANUFACTURE says then speak on it. The G3 is a full size pistol with a 15 and 17 round mag. G3c is a compact pistol. Literally look it up for yourself. I dont care what you think you know just because you know the length of each gun. Im sure the manufacture of your weapon knows more abour your weapon than do.
@@gavinbaker3886 Since when do you believe every word a manufacturer makes? They are more often wrong than right. I am not wrong. Pistol size is based on the frame size whether autoloader or revolver. Which is bigger, a K frame revolver or a J frame? The K frame. Which is smaller in frame length, a 1911 frame or a G3 frame? The G3 frame. You are the kind of guy that believes everything the government or any other authority tells you is true and without question.
Just my opinion.......the BEST holster for an EDC like this (and I have a G3) is a Masc Leather Paddle holster. Super comfortable, and really QUIET when you draw it.
i was thinking about picking up an od green variant of the g3, wondering if anyones gotten the same model and if it comes with a 2nd mag, local gunstore doesnt show how many mags it comes with
As far as is it good? Yeah it is. What people find to be quality is subjective. People hate on Glock but no one can dethrone them as the king. I’ve shot $3k plus guns that I hated and said they suck. They didn’t suck. Just didn’t meet my preference. With the exception of Hi Point no one makes a BAD firearm. Love the videos
@@paulp.6399 not ignorant just never found a Hi Point that didn’t constantly jam. The issue isn’t exactly the firearm it’s the magazine. But they are built like a tank. Demolition Ranch proved that. Took a bullet and still fired

I have one of these. If i had 600 and could choose between one glock or 2 of these it would be a no brainer, the taurus would win. Now if you don't mind, explain to me how a gun can be full size and compact at the same time
alos for those that say the glock has been around longer than the taurus, a big wrong. the first taurus pistol was released in 1941, the first glock in 1982
This gun is a prime example and show's,you either paying for the gun,or the name,it's nothing on this gun besides a safety that you won't find on a $600 Glock,I carry this g3 everyday shot it with no trouble and fell in love with it,that's after I carried a sig Sauer,Smith and Wesson, both .40 cal,and a xd,you either overpaying for Quantity,Or paying for Quality and the G3 is quality.
I havent fired mine since the day i hit 1,000 rounds! Not a single flaw! Mine accidentally came with 2 17 round mags instead of a 15 and a 17 Also have had a g2c great gun !! G3 is EDC
They are pk a lil better than a HI point. They have feeding issues and my internal frame broke at the range with regular ammo I sent it back to taurus and they fixed it in about 10 days and sent it back. It's just not worthy of a serious go to war handgun.
G3 MCK🎒/G3X don’t SubC/SS just download any compact to 12rds be surprised like the SD9VE 🪶😴even full but no pinky no carry🙅🏾♂️it’s a gunfight not a tea party 🫖💅🏻🤣for reloads/one hand/draw most important mag feeding reliability your EDC better have reliable extended mag Aftermarket the 18-24rd mag areas are most reliability without swapping in glock springs cause crime comes in 3s w/30s too nowadays🤣
I would much rather have a pistol with a standard picatinny rail than a proprietary "GlocK rail" Also I would rather support Taurus's new Bainbrdge GA USA manufacturing plant. Those Austrians have had the striker fired poly handgun market dominance for way, way, too long. These days they are very slow to implement any improvements that their customers have begged for for decades. (There is an 3 extra reasons to buy a Taurus over a overpriced Glock. (I am also a happy owner of another kind of G19 clone, The Dagger By Palmetto) I've never owned a Glock tho. Doubt I ever will. Hell it was bad enough getting here from all steel 1911's
Thing i dont like, is how when i did purhase a G3 9mm there was absolutely no indication that there was a 15+1 round mag and also the 3 slot picatinny rail, whereas my original purchase was a 12 round and 1 slot picatinny rail. As well as the weapon is picky about hallowpoints. Very irritated right now. Why did taurus market 2 different types of G3 knowing many consumers may not be aware of the different types bearing such ridiculous similarities, and having the same name etc. Makes me wanna sell it.
The answer is no, the glock is made better and is more reliable. I have the G3 and it shoots great but it broke at around 2000 rounds, trigger. I have a gx4, it broke at 300 rounds, the sear snapped off. Fixed it, broke again 200 rounds later. The spectrum I bought trigger broke first time I shot it. The 605 I had broke too, less than 200 rounds. Taurus are hit or miss at best. My luck is 0 for 4. Maybe yours will be better but knowing this happens this often, how can you trust them?
Ok, Honest Outlaw said the same untill...Sure Taurus makes some good guns but make a lot of lemmons. Too many reviews of Taurus having problems compared to other guns...
Where are those reviews? I've looked but couldn't find them only stories in comments....Ive seen quite a few lemon reviews on P320 but people still consider them as reliable, at this point I don't believe non of the bad comments on Taurus G-series.
@@brudda5174Maybe you should look again. Plenty of reviews of Taurus g series pistols having problems. Not like anybody has to make up anything negative about Taurus. Yeah, they make some good guns.. but they make a lot more bad ones than other respected gun manufacturers.
I would love to own the glock 19, but the gun is butt ugly. My G3 is been wonderful many many rounds and dry fired the piss out of it. Put my laser cartridge in and never have to rack the slide, love the trigger for laser practice.
Ever notice how all the Taurus haters fail to tell you about all the problems Glock had when they first started in the business? Cracked frames for example. Nothing quite like a firearm that blows up in your hand while shooting it. But by golly they're quick to point out problems with other firearms. What's that old saying about cleaning up your own backyard? Taurus makes it possible for everyday people to own a firearm for self protection that normally can't afford to kick out $550 or more on a pistol.

Great video
I sure love my pt709 slim..... Awesome carry gun
Good advice. I have a G3 for about 2 years. Never failed w any ammunition.
I've got 2 gx4's and 2 G3c's. Love these guns. Great triggers. Dependable. Affordable.
This shows me that paying twice as much for a Glock, Ruger or Sig is a waste of money.
Facts
Ha ha I used to regard the Taurus polymer autoloaders as .... crap. But now I own a G3 and G3C and they are both excellent pistols. I also have a couple of Taurus revolvers - the 44 Mag Tracker and 605 .357 Mag 5-shot snub nose. Again, both revolvers are great. Taurus has come a long way.
I just got my g3. It came with 2 17 rd mags. $250 on sale. Couldn't turn it down
Dddddddaaaaaaaammmmmnnnn n
Best gun for the money nowadays.
@@timhertz1089 just left a gun show and G3 were selling like hotcakes!!! Folks now know what’s up with the G3!!! Taurus done put the 2A on notice: they r here to stay. 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Mine came with one 17 round mag and one 15 round mag. Seems like the guy who made this vid got two 15 round mags. 🤷
Single action with restrike is pretty cool. The only other striker fired gun I can think of that had that capability is the Walther P99
I have had a chance to run mine a few times, and so far it has no issues with it.
Awesome and your information...like this ...great gun... awesome. I have a th9..love it ....need this in my collection 👌 👏 👍
Just picked one up yesterday..ready to get her out to test
Love my g3,, It definitely is right up there with the glock.
Technically, you're just buying the brand name.
The taurus Company.
Has come a long ways.
Oooo look at me I have a 700$ glock.. As I fire my gun with no Jams and he's over there trying to fix his because it keeps jamming up LO.L.
Love this gun its literally the Toyota camry of pistols
I heard through the grape vine that Taurus has hired a new CEO for USA operations and he comes from Sig Saur.
I'll try to remember to tell MY wife that next time I buy a gun.
good lighting and camera quality.
Will you check out the mossberg MC2 series. All I know is that it takes down pretty uniquely and that the slide and barrel is 416 stainless steel. While other guns That cost more have carbon steel slides I won’t mention the brand names.
Hello I just found your channel I am binge watching your videos... I'm really liking them
AMEN!! And the day Taurus comes out with a Pro Series that doesn't have a thumb safety then I will buy one. Thanks for sharing.
My TAURUS G3C is working flawless !👌🏽🔥🔫
Will you use the Taurus G3 for home-defense and secure carry
Looks like a very good quality firearm from Taurus. I'm considering this weapon.
Two things that ruins the Glock for me is the grip angle and the lack of a safety.
Taurus G3 🔥🔥🔥 I got two 17 round magazines with purchase. 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Local shop has a G3 Toro for $300...Highly considering it to be my daily/range beater to my G23.
I won't mention how if you drill a 1/4" hole in the right place on the front of the mag it will also work using the Security 9/SR9 mag well on a Ruger PC9 Carbine (no bolt hold open...)
FYI: that mag trick with the PC9 I didn't mention works with almost any older metal double stack 9mm mag.
Got one and love it
This is my second pistol I've bought next to my Canik TP9 I didn't know much about the reputation of Taurus but when I looked at the G3 next to the Glock I liked how it looked more than I did the Glock hahaha
I used to carry a s&w sigma 9mm which was very similar to a Glock 19 but with a better trigger imo so I’m thinking about picking one of these up since they are the same size idk i can’t decide between this an the g3c
I put about 4k rounds through my G2C with zero issues. Just bought a G3C a few days ago, so far 300 rounds and no problems.
I have a PT111 Millennium G2 an not one hiccup Taurus Rocks
They got it right when they made the pt 111. That series got them back in the game. Got one and the g3xl...g3 and the thc9 next on the list!!
@@bruceharris718 I have the Taurus PT 809 that came before the th series it rocks as well fully ambidextrous
Love my taurus G3 with sig Vcrown hallow points
I got a used PT638 in 380 and it's been very picky and iffy.might be the mag or/and the recoil spring. Hard to find parts for it
Made a magwell for this, available for 18+ round mags only.
Dons weaponry in NLR?
Love my G3, only thing is I just lost my front sight. Can someone help me on which sight I can use with a glow sight.
Yes its a better option ,very innovative company produ ing good quality reliable gund and are priced properly
i was thinking about picking up an od green variant of the g3, wondering if anyones gotten the same model and if it comes with a 2nd mag, local gunstore doesnt show how many mags it comes with
As far as is it good?
Break into my house and I'll show you how bad my Hi-Point is. Another ignorant "gun" expert on YT.
@@paulp.6399 not ignorant just never found a Hi Point that didn’t constantly jam. The issue isn’t exactly the firearm it’s the magazine. But they are built like a tank. Demolition Ranch proved that. Took a bullet and still fired
I bought a hi point 9 to see why the hate.. it has ran fine with stock mags.. the extended one a couple of times acted up.. so I bought the 45acp.. 100 percent reliable and accurate.. it's a toss up between it and glock 21.. and 1911.. yep I owned all until losing them in boating accident..lol.. i bought the 380 and it was acting up so i sent it back to hi point and now its 100% plus they sent an extra mag.. so i have nothing but good to say about hi point.. guess I'm the only one that tells it like it is
just bought one-love it
Trigger function at 7:16
I have one of these. If i had 600 and could choose between one glock or 2 of these it would be a no brainer, the taurus would win. Now if you don't mind, explain to me how a gun can be full size and compact at the same time
IMO Taurus G3 holds it with Glock 19, S&W, etc. It does what I need it to do. 💪🏽💪🏽
I am going to get one soon as
Taurus has a new owner since 2014, CBC ammunition manufacturer. 👍👍
I enjoy my glocks, definitely shot the g2c I had way better, and paid less than half the price.
Would the mags on this one fit in the G3C? Thank you.
They fit the g2c so I bet they do
Today Sept 2024 I just picked up G3 for $250 and G3c for $220 brand new
alos for those that say the glock has been around longer than the taurus, a big wrong. the first taurus pistol was released in 1941, the first glock in 1982
Hey anyone know why my g3 has a safety but no red dot on the slide?
Same as mine. So i just drilled a lil hole and painted it. Just make sure you drill on the right spot.
Ok, I looked everywhere for an answer to this. Thought I was out of my mind!
Better looking than the Glock IMO.
Mine accidentally came with 2 17 round mags instead of a 15 and a 17
Also have had a g2c great gun !! G3 is EDC
Mine also came with 2 17 round mags.
They are pk a lil better than a HI point. They have feeding issues and my internal frame broke at the range with regular ammo I sent it back to taurus and they fixed it in about 10 days and sent it back. It's just not worthy of a serious go to war handgun.
We must forget the times of millenium, , now is the era of G3
❤
I own both. Glock has a better track record. Based on that, I'd carry the Glock. That said I don't EDC Glocks.
I literally just had a stroke trying to read this 🤦

2 4 price of 1
The answer is no, the glock is made better and is more reliable.
Glock had problems with exploding slides years ago. Knowing this how can you trust them?
When I start having problems, that's when the trust is lost.
There is one common denominator here. . . .
$225 if u look around
I have Taurus G3 but it is failed don't purchased
Excellent point. Most people that I hear bashing Taurus end up having never even owned one - just parroting something they hear elsewhere. Thanks for watching!
@@TheConcealedCarryChannel yeah they just glock fan boys so ofc they gone bash Taurus from what o hear it’s just the compact versions mainly g2c tht be fucking up
The G2C is what brought Taurus back to respectability. Excellent little pistol.
Much better than glock in my opinion lots more to offer and always innovating compare to glock that cant innovate
The range is better than a glock too
Real talk
Amazing how easy y’all make it seem to take this shit apart.
The Glock is a good $250 pistol grossly overpriced. The Taurus is a greal $500 pistol that can be had for $250!

Yes the TAURUS is better than other pretentious popular gun much better than the cheap build glock but cant admit it coz its a slap on the face of girls who love it coz they cant handle it
