I got the Oxford Sternglas a few months ago and I have to say it's an amazing watch and its beauty surpasses that in the video. This watch is incredibly simple yet so elegant
With that price, you better buy the original, Junghans. A lot easier to resell as well.
I had a beautiful Junghans Max Bill - very difficult to sell. Couldn't get rid of it. You need to buy them because you love them, but they certainly do not hold value at all.

@@AndreiLucaa Absolutely. 👍 I just bought a delicious Seagull automatic, with a very similar aesthetic, but I paid around £60, so no worries there. 😉 Highly recommended.
Love these German Bauhaus watches but I often feel they are priced a bit high.
The website is saying that it is 9mm thick. Your measurement looks accurate on what you are holding. I would need this to be closer to €500 and about 9mm thick to consider it.
I think that's without the crystal 👍

I am not so much into the Bauhaus style, but if someone likes this type of watches, I would definitely recommend it (on a strap). I immediately noticed the higher beat movement and assumed it was a Miyota 9015. I really like that movement. The dial looks very consistent and the movement and rotor are also very nice. I would take this one over a (much more expensive) Nomos or a Junghans. The only thing I like better visually with a Nomos is the case shape, I like cylindrical cases more than these rounder ones. Thanks for sharing!
The movements are great but I wear watches for fashion so I have no problem going with the cheaper sternglas version that range from $200-$400 USD.
That bracelet takes an elegant Bauhaus style watch and makes it look like an Aragon special

It looks like they definitely upped the price because of the movement. They definitely went with a gilt Miyota 9.
This watch reminds me of the Cadisen and the mvmt watches you reviewed a while back
Not my cup of tea as it were. Besides the price, I don't see anything necessarily wrong with it. But for @$500 US I just ordered a Beaucroft Seeker with a Minolta 9 series movement and it looks much nicer.

I have one of the original Naos automatics. The only problem I have with it is that with the 38mm diameter, white dial and extremely thin bezel it looks HUGE on my wrist. I with they would make a 36mm, though with current pricing, I'm not likely to buy another.
I felt like I stepped into the twilight zone when you said that watch is relatively thin, so I went and checked my Max Bill real quick.. 8.5mm with crystal, 5.5 without. Sternglas have a LONG way to go before thin can be used in the same sentence..

Every watch these days just looks too big to me. It’s very hard to find companies that make watches in a size I actually like.
Stylish watches, but would be better without the date complication.
Are there just no budget German-made mechanical movements? It seems every affordable German watch brand either uses Miyota or ETA movements and it makes Made in Germany on the dials kinda misleading.

Not convinced with those almost impossible to see numerals. Overall looks nice piece. Strap and case shape I like. Like a 6 o’clock date complication. Seems on the expensive side. Iv got an Iron Annie, to me a better spec and better looking piece and £200 cheaper!! The bracelet looks like an AliExp one for £5. Bracelets need a taper. Their strap looks very nice tho, would have that….
I would prefer the sternglas Zirkel. But I think it is discontinued.
