    I absolutely love the detail in which you build! It reminds me of the work my dad would do! He was an awesome trim carpenter (but could build anything)! When he retired he started building fiddles and mandolins and made each one of his grandchildren one! And he also wore overalls...May God bless you Paul and thank you for sharing your AMAZING talents with us!!! 🙏👏🤗🥰👊

      Howdy y’all- thank you so much for sharing this about your Dad. I’m sure he was an amazing guy. My Dad was a carpenter for many years and I was fortunate enough to get to work with him for many years. It’s wonderful your Da could build all those instruments for the grandkids. God’s blessings to you

      @@TheBeardedCarpenter always a blessing watching. Yes it would be a game changer for sure. I have a heavy custom cover for it but it is starting to get ragged. Right now it is portable. I don’t have time to saw on site anymore so I need to make a stationary spot for it. Thanks brother!

    Hey, this question isn't about this video but i just wanted to saw i love these videos im in the planing stage of my log cabin and looking at different build styles and i've always loved the dove tail cabins. However, how do you attache multiple logs to make a longer wall. For example, i have a 60 foot wall but my logs are only 24 - 30 feet long?

    • @TheBeardedCarpenter
      @TheBeardedCarpenter  Рік тому

      Howdy William- that’s a question different people have asked. I use a mortice and tenon joint to join logs together to make longer logs. I will be doing that on my next project. I should have made a video of doing a splice but just haven’t done it, but will definitely be showing that. It’s a bit easier if you’re using logs that have been sawed into square timbers instead of using live edge. We’ll get a video of doing a splice. God bless you

    • @TheBeardedCarpenter
      @TheBeardedCarpenter  Рік тому +1
