There is no "voltage" adjustment for these clippers, that is actually the cutting blade side-to-side adjuster. If you turn the screw while your clippers are on, you'll notice the cutting blade glide side to side. As for the "blanks", there are two screws underneath the two plastic blanks which are only accessible if you take the face plate completely off....... The Whal Elite Pro doesn't come with Left & Right taper guards for cutting hair, but I tried the ones I got with my old 19 piece Conair haircut kit and those do attach tight and well to my new Wahl.
I used this very clipper for several years several times a month. I personally have moved using the Wahl Senior cordless clippers as my regular clippers and i now have the elite pro as my back up. The elite pro is more than capable to use regularly.
The black thing is a cord wrap. Once you wrap the cord round, you tie it around it. They say it's not good to wrap the cord around the clipper. It's velcro.
Good review. The attachment guides cut to what lengths? People give reviews and say: "well here's all the attachments", and tosses them...but don't specify the lengths that can be cut with the attachment guides - ,1/2 inch, 1 inch...what else???
Hi, the long Velcro thing is a cable tie; just feed one end though the other, place around the coiled up cable, pull it tight, then turn it back onto itself and Bob's your uncle, a nice tidy cable. I'm from the UK and I've just ordered an Elite Pro from the States. I lived in LA years ago so I know all about the cheaper and much better deals you get in the States - what you pay in dollars, we pay in pounds. And, don't mention petrol/gas prices: £1.04p/litre or just over $7 for a UK gallon! The Wahl Elite Pro is going to cost me doubled the US price because of the shipping and custom charges, but I wanted a decent clipper and the steel Secure-Fit Guide Combs, which you can't get in the UK, as usual, plus you also get a few more extras. There's a Wahl clipper over here which is similar called the Icon, but it only comes with an ordinary flat-top hair comb, some oil and the very cheap and nasty Chinese made clip-on combs - which are just plain bad - and that's about it. That little lot would cost you the equivalent of about 110 bucks! Anyway, I can't wait, but it's gonna take up to 16 days for it to arrive by snail mail. Then I've got to get a 230v/50Hz to 110v/60Hz power converter. Apparently, depending on the converter, the clippers can be very loud because of the 50hz to 60hz frequency cycle difference, I have to see, I just hope I don't blow the things up!
Yes, that makes perfect sense about the little strap. Now i kind of feel like i should have known that, but oh well i guess. Thats the whole idea about this review is the feed back to share what other have experienced or might not know. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve tried remingtons high performance shavers;and they are good for 1 year to 15 months of hair cutting and trimming and pretty much done. This brand..haven’t tried..so you recommend this model? And your last wahl shaver lasted ten years?! That’s great?!!
Would I recommend this model? Yeah id say so. Its performed well for me. Ive since changed over to the Wahl Senior cordless. The two aren’t exactly like comparing apples to apples but they are similar with the Elite pro more of a pro-sumer type. I never had any major issues with the elite pro
lexure velasco they’re not really the same as comparing apples and apples but i like the Senior better. The Senior has a metal case, its cordless and i think the Senior cuts a little better. The quality of cut between the two is pretty close over all but i still think the Senior is a bit better. That said, the Senior is more on the professional level so i would expect it to be better for that reason. I don’t remember the exact prices for both but im pretty sure the senior was more expensive too.
@@lexurevelasco5199 I really can't say its much heavier than the Senior. The Senior has a battery in it so I might not have noticed if the Elite Pro was heavier than any other clipper. I never really noticed anything as far as the power in the motor. For me these clippers did seem to miss a few hairs here and there and id have to go over the same spot a few times. Should you buy them? Its really your call. Personally for the money you’re most of the way there to a Wahl Senior cordless.
Yes, these are a decent set of clippers. As for the quality of cut? Its pretty good i think. I usually end up with a few hairs left behind that still need trimmed. But i think that has more to do with my type of hair and the way the hair wants to lay when its longer, than anything to do with the clippers.

Armando Chavez Well I'm a Professional Barber in PA and usually when I pick up a pair of Wahl Home cut Clippers I usually upgrade the Motors into the V9000 ones as well as put a Professional cord on them, Wahl really improved on these Home cut Clippers, they must have made a more powerful V9000 Motor for this specific Clipper
Really like these..i have bin looking at them and the price on amazon 4feb 2016 is $50.. here in the EU ..i can get them from Germany paying $74 with almost $44 shipping... So getting it from Netherlands where i live ..the price is $100 yep that's no joke.. And now it's not that we make more $$ a month..But were just stupid consumers.. i guess...Still do like it..But Wahl doesn't want to ship it from Germany from Amazon.de so a different seller on amazon.de is the only option paying the extra $44 shipping really sucks..or just swallow my pride and buy the sucker from Amsterdam..the country of the stupid hahha..yep that's us.. But thanks for the review.. Btw the oil that comes with the trimmer how long does that last?? because i can buy oil from wahl from Germany for $2,50 118ml with $5 shipping haha.. or the get the same bottle locally for $20 and get it the next day.. Thanks for the review..
The tinny bottle of oil that comes with the trimmer will last 6 months to a year depending on how much you use or oil the clipper. Personally I can't see any difference in the oil that comes with the trimmer than any other gun oil like Remington or hopes or something like that. I have been using the later for years and I haven't noticed any significant issues in the oil.
thx i bought it from a store here in the Netherlands paying $110 but bought the 118ml oil from amazon.de Germany because i found a good deal over there i paid $2 for the oil and $4 shipping but the same bottle costs $21 overhere hahaha.i use 3 drops on the front spread over the total length of the blades and wipe the execs with a cloth and one drop on each side. really like it it..only thing missing is the ear piece but i can manage..ps don't drop it on a tile floor because the cutting blades will mis aline and you can't get them to aline. but thankfully the store was kind enough to repair actually exchange it for me..really happy with it thanks again for your review..used it 5 times ...so almost 4 months sinds i bought it
@Tiredofdumbfuks you paid €60 that's a bargain mate.. where did you buy them you lucky ...!! ahaha.. i feel great about them i used it about 55times...yah i put an x on a small card everytime i take them out and use them.. meaning if i would go 55 times to the barbershop for €10 a pop that would cost me €550...so you paying €60 is a great bargain again.. i understand you feel ripped off and for a small part you are and so have i .. but in the larger scheme of things it's all relative your saving a lot of €€.. just remember to not skimp on good shaving oil and use it after each time you use it.. buy it on amazon or what ever places sells at the best price..

Thank you josh begandy So its not the most power motor then .. it says it has wahls most powerful motor . Witch is v9000..
100th like
