We really appreciate ya becoming a member; we're really thankful for the support and would like to send ya a little something since the channel isn't set up for membership perks yet. If you wouldn't mind one let us know how to get it to ya! Email us at leonardhhpa@gmail.com . Really appreciate ya, hope to hear from ya soon!
Yea that's free stuff from UA-cams creator library. They provide a mountain of clips. Free to use and no copyright strikes. Thanks, UA-cam! Seems like you look for music for a clip and the perfect stuff jumps out at ya. Makes the videos way cooler! Thanks for always watching and commenting.... Appreciate ya!
Had a 53 about 35 years ago. Uncles bought it new for their business. Long story short I got it after it sat for a few years. Got it running. Used every day. Body and bed had no rust. The floor boards had the only rust. Boy I miss that jeep. So I’m going to enjoy you getting that started
It's really rare around here to find one in that kinda shape. This one (as rough as it is) is unusually solid for these parts. I can see why you would miss it. These things have a coolness all their own. Hope to find a nice one some day! Thanks for watching!
I think that old machine has the Borg Warner 3 speed. Just chiming in from Toledo Ohio, Home of Jeep Willys-Overland. My grandma worked for Jeep during the 2nd WW. And my family still lives couple minutes from the site of the old Jeep willys plant. Now Dana. Jeep parkway and willys parkway. Cheers❤
Yes it does. Glad ya stopped by! I never knew they were built in Ohio or if I did I forgot... I do that a lot lately. lol. Cool piece of history not too far from home here in Sw Pa. These are awesome trucks and thankful our vets had super tough jeeps to enable them to get the job done.. They couldn't have done it without them or without the homeland support of good hardworking folks like your Grandma. Thankful for folks like her that kept the support coming. Awesome. Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching! Stop back!
Good point! Aint a whole lot cooler than a train. They don't come thru very often but when they do we'll have to get one on camera. Thanks for watching!

He explained that when you wash top to bottom, the whole thing looks wet and you cant see the transformation. He was right. Used to drive me nuts watching but makes sense! Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
I didn't know Jeep had 2-barrel carbs on those flathead engines! The engine sounded like maybe a dead cylinder and an exhaust leak under the intake manifold where the exhaust connects. Maybe a bad old spark plug?
Yea you heard right! In the follow up video we'll probably do a compression test and a plug change. I figure one of them is dead. May just roll with the exhaust leak not sure. Do like wrenchin' on this old pick em up though!
Another great video guys. Small world.. I know old Sammy, myself. He was at my place the other day and we were talking about you guys. I love what your doing... and can't wait to see you doing it to my truck. Lol. Keep it up guys. I'm loving it.

Gonna be a challenge to make the video interesting because your old truck doesn't fight us at all! Wasy to work on, everything in good shape. You found a good one for sure. We'll find some way of spicin' it up though! BTW.. Are you in contact with Larry? He became a member and don't know how to contact him?
