Diablo Immortal Even MORE Hidden Items Caps/Limitations: -After 6 legendary/Set drops a day, your drop rate severely decreases for future drops. -Elder Rifts rewards drop rate severely decreases after a FEW tries each day, further attempts severely lowers drop rates (will likely not see gems higher than 3 stars likely even if you use Eternal Legendary Crest Or Regular Legendary Crests). -There are 2 TYPES of LEGENDARY CREST > "Eternal Legendary Crest" (that you BUY which allows LG to be sold in the market) and "Legendary Crests" (that you get from bundles, Rewards, ect... which makes all your LG Bound to your Character) Both are almost the same visually with the exception of the LC being slightly different color and text Description) -After a group bonus of 6 normal/tradeable gems a day, your drop rate severely decreases for future drops. -Sidequests STOP giving rewards after 5 per day. -Purple BOSSES STOP giving rewards after 5 per day. -Random MAP events STOP giving rewards after 5 per day. -Zolten Kule Treasure Rooms are LIMITED to 5 per day. -Hidden Lairs dungeons STOP giving gems rewards 5 per day. -There is a limit on how much EXP per week, the exp rate severely decreases for the rest of the week. -To further improve your gear rank, you MUST reach the required paragon level. -Items rarity severely drops at the gambling station for gear after 20 buyouts every day. -The paragon level is capped per server, which goes up by 2 every day, if you go further, your exp Is lowered by 20% and it goes up the further you are from the cap.
Even though it is already known I need to explain it in perspective for people who don't realise the other "trick" about legendary crest. As you probably know, 'Loot Boxes' are banned in quite a few contries.. which is why Blizzard made 'Legendary Crest' as a workaround 'Loot Box'. When you buy 10 crests, they make you believe you exchange into another form of currency 'Legendary Crest' but infact every single Legendary Crest is a garanteed (randomized) legendary gem from 1 star to 5/5 star gem. So actually another form of randomized 'Loot Box' but it is even worse than other games' loot boxes since normally you pay cash for a 'Loot Box' and open it resulting in getting the content... But Blizzards secret 'Loot Box' cost 25dollars AND it forces you to do a 'Rift run' before opening with a max of 10 crests at the time, resulting in grinding runs to get the 'Loot Box' content you paid for xD TLDR Legendary Crest are secretly Loot Box's with an unlimited cost, yet you can only open 25usd worth of content at a time AND it forces you to do grindy 'Rift runs' every time instead of just giving you the content after opening, as normal 'Loot Box' from other games does.
Alright we found why diablo immoral is actually not being launched in the Netherlands here xD They don't have lootboxes per se in the sense that our country banned them. But this practice right here of knowingly obfuscating differences between two different products with the purpose of deceiving the buyer out of knowing what they're actually buying is most definitely illegal here. I mean let's remind ourselves that this is the company that made WoW and therefor has a perfect sense of how to properly convey the information of items being bound, bind on pickup, bind on equip, or unbound. They got so many different forms of binding items in their existing arsenal that I have no shred of doubt that they deliberately did not make it clear here. Every other freaking game they ever made has a proper, clear and concise red flashy tag on the tooltip to remind you it is in fact bound. Both the gem and the crest should've had this tag. Then the rift should've at least have a dropbar to select whether you want to use a bound or unbound crest at the time so the player is aware of the existance of both, as well as giving your paying customer the choice of which fucking item to even consume at the time.
fiduciary duty doesnt always apply to just public companies ie real estate agents and lawyers have a fiduciary duty to their client which is why a real estate agent cant be acting agent for both seller and buyer due to conflict of interest
I think there are 3 options at all: First is to increase legendary gem and crest drops in battle pass, and remove all legendary crest of which are available to be purchased manually. They might make battlepass 10 dollar of which is available for most peoplr Second is to make game accessible with cash for 10 dollars instead of putting in game purchase. Third is keep the game same which would be a huge dissapointment. I think that first option is most reliable one since to put price tag for the game would dispel quite amount of people from experiencing the game at the first place and they might be people who would actually enjoy the game but wouldnt bother to try due to price tag. First option gives people an option to experience the game freely and make them pay for battle pass for fair amount of progress. In the end, it will make them earn more money for the long term by making a lot more people pay for the game. What they do now is such a horseshit, they make only %1 of people pay thousands and hundreds of dollars into game and dispel all others. I dont understand why they dont follow win-win option rather than win-lose …

And we havent talked about ibn fahids tenacity stone. It states you get it for opening the chests in that hidden area. So people think, let‘s pas some (a lot) of platinum to open all 21 chests. Guess what, none of the chests give you the stone. It has a ridiculous low chance of being in a chest (and probably only in the last room)
Slight disagreement on the fiduciary duty point, though it is nuanced like he said. The term relates to company executives acting in the best interest of shareholders, which normally means making them the most money in a sustainable and ethical way. There is a reasonable argument to be made that tanking the reputation of one of your best IPs by making the most predatory monetization game ever ruins all future value for shareholders from the IP and that would not be fiduciary duty...
Asmon misrepresents fiduciary responsibility a little bit here, it is not a responsibility to "make as much money as possible" it is simply to act in the best interests of the other party (in this case, shareholders) Your responsibility is not contained to making as much money as you can in the short term, in reality you also need to consider the entire picture, public image of the brand (as the Blizz name is an asset that shareholders own) regulatory risk, diversification, etc. Essentially, sustainability is a key part of fiduciary responsibility, and Immortal fails this in multiple aspects: 1. Obviously, this has further eroded the value of the Blizzard name, and the name of all their IPs, this is a significant sustainability risk as the Blizzard name was Blizzard's #1 asset when Activision purchased them, it is far easier to say executives who know they may not be around for much longer have acted in their own interest (short term profit, large bonus for themselves) at the expense of shareholders who remain invested after they leave the company. 2. The regulatory risk is extremely high, and they know this, since they tried to skirt past the laws in Belgium prohibiting loot boxes, they failed. At this point when multiple countries have already banned these kinds of monetisation models, and most countries are having a look at it with more countries to follow with regulation, they have risked throwing away the production budget for Immortal down the toilet since it needs to be in operation for an extended period of time to recoup costs. 3. Diversification, related to the above point, putting too much investment into a model that could be regulated out of existence is irresponsible, they already have a huge portion of their company exposed to this risk via King, exposing even more of the company to this risk can easily be argued to be putting too many eggs in one basket. Fiduciary responsibility is vague, messy, and abstract, but when it's easier for me to argue that they are being irresponsible, than it is to argue that they are being responsible, you really can't justify it under this, it's far easier to assume greedy executives who want their bonuses and shareholders who are blind to the sustainability risks.
I mean, a good chunk of the "community" gave them exactly what they needed. So yea, they did expect a reaction, just not the one that would lose them money. They know the kind of idiots they have, same ones that want to play the new dragon expansion.
I'm not vouching for Blizzard here, but the only "good" reason i can think of to make a distinction between Legendary and Eternal Legendary is to combat bots and RMT. If people wanted to use the market to flood gems... blizzard will get a cut of it. In the end, its really all about $$$
So they care about that in this game but no other game they make? Kind of confused on how that is a good reason when they on purpose neglect other games for bots and rmt.
Blizzard is that one guy that sells the new next gen console on Ebay but after receiving it, it turns out it's just the box for the price of the console. No returns.
I used to think “I’ll just play casually and wait for Blizzard to scale back the MTX - surely they will normalize things…it won’t stay like this forever”… Now I’m not so sure :/
I think that is pretty smart design...everything that you can force farm should be bound...or bots, on second level it's smart, it's like when you buy a cheeseburger and there a plastic piece of meat in the middle
The only thing that I invest on this game it is the time I spent shitting in the bathroom while playing a few minutes per day or the subway when I go to work. That's diablo immortal for me, so actually nothing of this bothers me at all.
Because all the legendary crests are part of a bundle meaning your getting them for less ... Meanwhile the eternal legendary crests are just 1 to 1 trade for real money at max value ... It's scummy as hell but that's the only reasoning I can give for that and it's a disappointment
Think about this y'all..... There are many ways to spend money to get pleasures. I mean, if being powerful and badass in a game is giving you some sort of a pleasures. Why not spend some money to get it. That exactly what Blizzard had been done with WoW for a years. Now they bring it up another notch to getcha to spend *_MORE_* money.
I’m @ 60(25) battle pass boon of plenty. And that’s all I will spend, my character is Wizard and I’ve pieced it nice. Lots of grinding and then 80% restriction is given when your grinding too much. It’s a joke.
When you think acti bliz wasn't sure of what they were doing, just remind yourself that this guy was their taget audience. This is the direction gaming is heading, and they have plenty idiots to make it happen.
holy shit there it is, i was fking wondering why i cant sell my crappy lvl1 gem i got from hilt legendary crest. And i was wondering why no one is talking about the different crests which makes the paywall even more unsurmountable and this effectly blocks the trade system behind a paywall. And the one gem you can craft will only waste your hard earned rare runes and give you 1 star gem that has no goo return value.
There's Warcraft 3 Refunded, now Diablo Immoral, i wonder what they'll come up with for Starcraft and Overwatch... Gotta ruin all the franchises, right?
Well it actually makes sense. This way, only if you buy stuff with cash, you can sell it for cash. It gets rid of the possibility of having the game flooded with chinese botts and people who try to make this game into a way of living. I think it's actually a good thing.
Free players CAN craft unbound legendary gems, roughly one a week, I was indeed wrong about that.

Basically Hamilton beach said i operated the toaster "improperly" and thats why it broke which isnt covered by warranty. Now im contemplating revenge but idk who
I now owe Diablo Immortal child support for the next 18 years some how.....
2:32 the face Zack realizes what the devs pulled. Beautiful.
So F2P basically has to be self found. As they can't trade their gems they find to buy others they need. They have to find their own dupes or find a different way to get the money to buy them.
Technically they can craft sellable gems. But you know, it's only two per month at max, it's basically nothing for a F2P player
Thought I had seen everything about the predatory practices of Diablo immoral. But lo and behold the ghost of Billy Mays shows up with a "But wait, there's more!"
The true evil of Diablo are the executives behind it. They're the ultimate boss.
What inspired you to make a predatory phone game?
blizz: I like money!
At this point, any defense of this game is intellectually dishonest.
Hope he makes a third video saying he forgot to talk about the Sanctum where you dump/buy all of your platinum/gems lol
Our young diablo 2 playing selves couldn't even comprehend the timeline we exist in. What an absolute travesty for the diablo franchise.
The dedication of Blizzard as scammers is mind-blowingly impressive.
I really wanted a nice ARPG on my phone that wasn’t autoplay. I can imagine that the devs doing gameplay are gearing up to take their learnings and do one with another company. We’d play it!
I mean, it doesn't really matter though because Asmon will still support Blizzard and never stop playing their games no matter how many scandals they're involved in and scams they pull
Exactly! They need to stop pretending actiblizz doesn't know their audience.
Diablo Immortal Even MORE Hidden Items Caps/Limitations:
-After 6 legendary/Set drops a day, your drop rate severely decreases for future drops.
-Elder Rifts rewards drop rate severely decreases after a FEW tries each day, further attempts severely lowers drop rates (will likely not see gems higher than 3 stars likely even if you use Eternal Legendary Crest Or Regular Legendary Crests).
-There are 2 TYPES of LEGENDARY CREST > "Eternal Legendary Crest" (that you BUY which allows LG to be sold in the market) and "Legendary Crests" (that you get from bundles, Rewards, ect... which makes all your LG Bound to your Character) Both are almost the same visually with the exception of the LC being slightly different color and text Description)
-After a group bonus of 6 normal/tradeable gems a day, your drop rate severely decreases for future drops.
But Blizzards secret 'Loot Box' cost 25dollars AND it forces you to do a 'Rift run' before opening with a max of 10 crests at the time, resulting in grinding runs to get the 'Loot Box' content you paid for xD
TLDR Legendary Crest are secretly Loot Box's with an unlimited cost, yet you can only open 25usd worth of content at a time AND it forces you to do grindy 'Rift runs' every time instead of just giving you the content after opening, as normal 'Loot Box' from other games does.
Wow, they're not even bother hiding their own audacity anymore.
Alright we found why diablo immoral is actually not being launched in the Netherlands here xD
They don't have lootboxes per se in the sense that our country banned them.
I think there are 3 options at all:
First is to increase legendary gem and crest drops in battle pass, and remove all legendary crest of which are available to be purchased manually. They might make battlepass 10 dollar of which is available for most peoplr
Second is to make game accessible with cash for 10 dollars instead of putting in game purchase.
"Hello payers, I mean, players."
5:09 you know what, theres a possibility this would happen lmao
I was actually going to go back to blizzard when Diablo 4 came out. I quit for a few years because a bunch of the drama/issues around their org. I was hoping that some things would've changed.
But now seeing your coverage of immortal on top of all the reasons why I left in the first place...I'm just going to uninstall all BNet clients and never going back. Fuck this shit lol.
Da Vinci had his Mona Lisa, Mozart had his Requiem, but everything pales compared to Bobby Koticks magnum opus:
"Whales, call of the shop"
This game is GREAT - It's filling the void in my life that Amber left when the trial was over....
It's like those people selling PS5 BOXES on ebay, relying on the people not reading closely enough, then they get an empty box.
Lmao
its almost surprising that people are even remotely shocked a game with netease plastered on the front is this bad. like yes, blizzard should have stopped it, but why would they? this is just classic chinese market mobile games.
Not quite sure about player feedback but blizzard surely listened and learned a lot from those monetization classes they had while developing this game
I just want Blizzard to make good games WITHOUT sleazy monetization
That game got banned in NE and BE for a reason
@@Mark-nh2hs Allright. i take that. but, tbh, the game would never be released in belgium and netherlands the way it is right now. and i think thats a win. wish germany would do the same. if more gov would do this, maybe studios would say goodbye to this type of p2w
Those cheap Legendary Crest possibly also have lower chance to get good Gems compared to the Eternal ones
Rember like a week ago when you were live chatting with Ian? That was juuust before diablo released. The timing is interesting...
we got justice for johnny depp and now i demand justice for f2p
is there a petition to cancel diablo imortal or to remove the whole shop from it? i never paid a cent to diablo game and i played to lvl 50 but if it was for like 5€ on the appstore and it was done better instead of worse and repetitive on purpose to make people play then the game would actually be good
i hate that conpanies make their games bad ON PURPOSE just so people pay thousands to make it ok. i miss the days where you paid for a game and you got what you paid for. a finished game with no updates no fixes nothing because they actually cared to make a finished and polished product to make it worth what people paid like most pokemon games or mario or what ever. i am a gameboy. playstation 2, nintendo XXL ecc kid and those times where the best in my life and i miss them. i cant even imagine what kids nowdays think when they see those games. if this came out when i was a kid then i wouldnt even touch it. i would just move on and forget it existed.
Something that is 'Eternal' shouldn't vanish after one use.
Eternal regret for using a one-time item. /s
I got it from the first room but your main point still stands
Slight disagreement on the fiduciary duty point, though it is nuanced like he said. The term relates to company executives acting in the best interest of shareholders, which normally means making them the most money in a sustainable and ethical way. There is a reasonable argument to be made that tanking the reputation of one of your best IPs by making the most predatory monetization game ever ruins all future value for shareholders from the IP and that would not be fiduciary duty...
He also said private companies don’t have shareholders, which isn’t accurate.
Asmon misrepresents fiduciary responsibility a little bit here, it is not a responsibility to "make as much money as possible" it is simply to act in the best interests of the other party (in this case, shareholders)
Your responsibility is not contained to making as much money as you can in the short term, in reality you also need to consider the entire picture, public image of the brand (as the Blizz name is an asset that shareholders own) regulatory risk, diversification, etc.
Essentially, sustainability is a key part of fiduciary responsibility, and Immortal fails this in multiple aspects:
Basically, getting greedy and getting bodied for it when people could have told you that would happen is literally the definition of irresponsible
Dude, I'm really concerned for Diablo 4
I'm not concerned, not one bit. But I am avoiding it like if it inflicts plague. You'd have to be willing to play d3:immoral to play d4 at this point.
It's weird that Blizzard thought they could really make much of a profit with this game. They had to expect this kind of reaction from the community.
I mean, a good chunk of the "community" gave them exactly what they needed. So yea, they did expect a reaction, just not the one that would lose them money. They know the kind of idiots they have, same ones that want to play the new dragon expansion.
12:34:
"I got goofed on"
Literally all who downloaded Immortal got goofed on by Blizzard.
No returns.
-Raiding Vault gold reward is LIMITED to 4 times per week, afterwards you dont get ANY gold at all.
The more I hear and research about these topics, this is a life lesson to be smart with your money than spend it heartlessly and emotionally.
The Asmongold's face when he realized there is the type 2.1 crest in the wallet theme Diablo
I used to think “I’ll just play casually and wait for Blizzard to scale back the MTX - surely they will normalize things…it won’t stay like this forever”…
Now I’m not so sure :/
did u see at 3:06 he does have the collectors empowered battle pass i dont think he free to play with that lol
No I don't
The pity between these two Legendary Crest types doesn't stack either :D
Guys Legendary Crest is like playing SSF league in POE , POGGERS.
It's actually impressive at just how fucking brazen this cash shop is.
The game has 22+ currencies. That says it all really.
*Diablo Immoral:* _We have 22 currencies!_
*Path of Exile:* _First time?_
If anyone can kill DI it's Josh! lol
I think that is pretty smart design...everything that you can force farm should be bound...or bots, on second level it's smart, it's like when you buy a cheeseburger and there a plastic piece of meat in the middle
Dungeon packs aren't even really time limited lmao if u don't buy them they never go away xD I've had them all up in bundles for over a week now
Because it's free to make new account, theoretically possible is to make tons of new accounts and give the drop to your main account
1:27 IS HILLARIOUS and why i dislike twitch comments as a whole, the amount of people who didn't understand the sarcasm is legit scary and worrying.
The main takeaway:
Publicly traded companies are incapable of making good games, only private companies are capable.
The only thing that I invest on this game it is the time I spent shitting in the bathroom while playing a few minutes per day or the subway when I go to work. That's diablo immortal for me, so actually nothing of this bothers me at all.
It's basically the RMAH again, but worse!
First thing I thought when I saw the picture of the crest comparison was amber heard trying to add a filter on her pictures.
Half way through this, just wondering since Josh plays MMO's so much, I'm surprised he hasn't been on Allcraft
i feel filthy just by downloading this game even though i uninstalled it without even starting once.
Lol for real. Must make you feel some kind of way now that they're bragging about the installs they got.
Because all the legendary crests are part of a bundle meaning your getting them for less ... Meanwhile the eternal legendary crests are just 1 to 1 trade for real money at max value ... It's scummy as hell but that's the only reasoning I can give for that and it's a disappointment
Blizzard back on form, they're trendsetting just how far one game can go to milk it's playerbase.
I'm calling it The Grandma's boy burn
they went SO far out of their way to do stuff like this. they didnt even try to make a game, they just literally tried to make a cash grab app
Time is money friend.
- Blizzard
And i absolutely sure that eternal crests have increased chances to get upgradable gems.
holy shit there it is, i was fking wondering why i cant sell my crappy lvl1 gem i got from hilt legendary crest. And i was wondering why no one is talking about the different crests which makes the paywall even more unsurmountable and this effectly blocks the trade system behind a paywall. And the one gem you can craft will only waste your hard earned rare runes and give you 1 star gem that has no goo return value.
Company needs profits FIRST. No profits - no development. Now go out there and be somebody!
Please do an DI allcraft with Josh, Rich, Bellular ect. ! Would be awesome.
''fuck you, give me money''
-Activition, Blizzard
I will begin watching this guy just to see what the hype is about what a handsome young man
if there is someday a real life south park movie... this dude has to play randy marsh
