Hi where do you buy your pots from? Especially big ones like 5 gallone for eggplants. And can you make a video about which pot size and depth for what plant? Thank you so much. I‘ve just bought plants yesterday to start my own balcony garden. I‘m so excited about it.
Hi Ting, I buy my pots from a variety of places ranging from garden centres to bargain shops! Anywhere that has good solid pots for a reasonable price and are food grade plastic. In Germany I like Bauhaus, Kodi, Tedi, Butlers or even large supermarkets have garden items. That's a great video idea about what pot size...I have some videos already more or less ready to be posted so i would post after that. The basic rule is that you want the plant to have enough space to put down roots in all directions but snug enough that when you water, the soil doesn't become saturated and waterlogged because the plant can't take up the water fast enough. That's why we start seedlings in trays then transplant into small pots 5-9cm then into larger pots. So cool you're going to start your balcony garden, very excited for you! 🌱🙏🏻😃
Hi!I recently found you and Im in love with your balcony,.could you tell what orientation is? Mine is north, so no sunlight in winter and now only 4 hours, could you recommend some plants for.me? Greetings!!
Hi Josefina, my balcony is NW facing so I get sun in the afternoons and evenings. In N facing gardens you can still grow a variety of plants, ornamentals like Coleus, ferns, hostas, flowers like primroses, spring-flowering bulbs, forget-me-nots, begonias, fuchsia, some types hydrangeas, herbs like mint and parsley and a variety of veg like lettuce, salad leaves, carrots, chard, spring onions, the list goes on! No matter what conditions you have there will always be a plant to grow :) good luck!
