I'm not sure how I feel about him. He avoided supporting Kamala Harris, saying he doesn't like her.
Why would you humanize a monster. Humanize the sickest depravity dominating our lives. I don't know who he is. On one side, he seems to legitimize Trump and Cohen, and yet he made this film. He must want to show that he is a contradiction just like them.
I don't feel love towards him or them. The whole thing turns my stomach. I don't celebrate the humanity in men who don't have any.

Robert Downey Jr and Jeremy Strong played brothers in the movie The Judge. I remember watching them do an interview and RDJ raved on about what an incredible actor Jeremy was. I always think of that when I see him.

i love the iconic "i don't like talking about myself" body language of "let's talk about the thing you're here to talk about" (ie *your* project) *arms cross* "tell me about Roy Cohn" *arms uncross"

Just saw the movie yesterday with the whole family. Jeremy Strong left me, literally, speechless. It was an insane performance. I named him first bc I thought no one can beat Al PAcino's Roy Cohn from the masterpiece Angels In America. I think he just did. But the same then goes to Sebastian Stan, and to the writer and director, who's approach to depict this period of 'the monster in making' with such a subtlety a sensitivity, that you almost feel sorry for Trump in the beginning, made the film very appealing and thought provoking. I'd never guess you can create such a good movie about such a notorious madman, who, for a long time now, became the caricature of himself. Congratulations!

Notice how Jeremy doesn't repeat Stephen's description of Cohn as "heartless". That's what makes him such a great actor. He sees the humanity in even the worst kinds of people and he plays that off so well. That's what made his work in Succession so legendary.

I'm glad people learn about Cohn now...well... people, who weren't alive back then and aren't from the US.... because it was eye-opening to read about him. Trump clearly admired him and learned a LOT from him.. wich ist really sad, when you think about it... I think Trump himself would be happierr, if someone taught him some different things... I would really like to know how things would have turned out, if someone taught him about empathy... and true human connection... and that there is soooo much out there, that is bigger than one person... and show him how empty everything is, he's after... should AGI help us conquer the 4th dimension... I think this will me my 2nd project after I safe Takoda

It’s a classic tale of the mentee becoming the mentor by choice, not teaching. Ultimately, whatever our ambitions, we CHOOSE our role models, and we CHOOSE our conduct. You cannot separate from it all that Cohn was a deeply closeted gay man, he freakin’ LOVED the notion of influencing a younger arguably attractive man, and that “mentee” already had the insecurities and frailties of a giant ego to cover over his deep, deep, deep feelings of imposter syndrome. Chicken/egg/chicken/egg. Cohn died of AIDS, and not before most certainly passing it on to every man he could penetrate with his psycho sick you know what. In the journey of every human through life, a million decisions on choice of conduct - the path to hell is paved with intentions, it’s why intentions are irrelevant to deciding a person’s character.
