And then Seth had Greg and Alex on Late Night to promote taskmaster and it blew my little comedy mind! The way he also let James Acaster just go off on one of his tangents instead of trying to make it so produced and formulaic sets Seth apart.
Seth seems to have a lot of love for all British comedy. He's had both Greg Davies and little Alex Horne on his show promoting Taskmaster even though it only appears in America through UA-cam and every time James Acaster seems to be in New York, Seth gets him on the show. As a Canadian that discovered the wonders and delights of British panel shows through UA-cam, I feel Seth and his staff have the same comedy taste as me.
Had the good fortune to meet Graham Norton a few months ago when he was promoting this book on a tour circuit of the UK (I'm a bookseller and was working the evening he came to my city). Absolutely no ego on the man. Sat and signed each copy of the book (around a thousand!) while chatting away to us. Most graciously, as he approached us, he even introduced himself - as if we didn't know who he was! Genuinely nice man.
I adore his show! It's so genius, with several guests chatting together. He's such a skillful host. His presence is warm and approachable. Thanks for sharing your experience with him! 🙏 -from America

He was on at least Kimmel and Colbert last year, don't remember if he was on the Tonight Show or not, probably was at some point.

No-one really knows who Seth is in the UK. The same for Craig Ferguson and John Oliver. They werent complete unknowns but theyve had way more success in the USA and basically no success in the UK

Norton is the GOAT of talkshow hosts, he is just awesome and no one in the US (even tho i like most of them) can do what he can. granted the format and the alkohol certainly help :).
My heart always does sink a little when I hear De Niro is to be a guest on Graham's show, so I'm glad that a) De Niro is as aware as any of us that anecdotes aren't his strong point, and b) he's still having a nice time. I love the GN Show so much that I hate it when any guest seems not to be entirely comfortable*, because it seems such a shame. * except when the US guests can't comprehend a word being said by a UK comic with a strong regional accent. That's just *hilarious*.
What makes Graham's show so good is that he gives his guests the stage to talk. A quality and skill that most American talk show hosts don't have. Seth is pretty good, when he asks his guest a question, he lets them answer it!
It seems impossible for Graham to any more lovely a fellow than he is. He's my favorite talk show host of all time, and a brilliant comedian as well. Don't know why he doesn't do more of that. His appearances in Father Ted are pure comedy gold.
There was a comedy benefit a bit over 10 years ago, featuring legitimate genius comedians like Rowan Atkinson, The League of Gentlemen, Harry Hill, and others. Norton was more or less the first on, and one of the best of the evening.

Graham is definitely one of those people I would love to sit and chat with! (I’m obviously not a celebrity.) Every time I’m seen him do something he is obviously being intentional and thoughtful.

I love Graham. Will second that many are on UA-cam. If you want the new streaming shows, they are on AMC+ in the US.
Graham Norton is the best talkshow host of this generation, followed by Craig Ferguson. Both are SO disarming, and they get great interviews.
