4 months after recording Kevin gave up the business and currently the company has an annual net profit of 2 million dollars. This guy is living well.
😂😂😂
god these comments, surprised hes not got a net profit of 54.9 billion dollars with the way some people write these
I think they should start every video with Barbara saying "I'm out", this way we can save so much wasted time!
😂😂😂🤡
Bruhhh
Dumb
The Barbara jokes are getting old
@@AllenReviews Thanks for your reply, you're out!
He should've said he is open to licencing and get Robert back in. Or at least counter Kevin to be equal partner with him. Brutal deal
The deal fell through
@@cyruscheng499 how do you know this deal fell through ??????
@@brentkiely657 and why
@@brentkiely657 you can juzt googlr about it or see it in their websites
So shortsighted, were destined to fail with that sort of business acumen.
21 years ?! Damn, this dude is so mature. More than me with +30.
He doesn't seem "mature" at all... He seems like a stupid punk....
But only a mature person can admit that.
@@officerkody6215 Self awareness does not equal maturity
It plays a key role in genuine maturity.
It's his life experience. Think about what the 17 year olds say on the beach of Normandy. Life being tough matures you.
I love how Robert got a helmet and a dagger while mark got a piece of pizza 😂.
Tip to future shark tank contestants. When creating something specifically made for Cuban, make it mavs related. Guarantee your chance of landing a deal with him goes up 50%
anything tech related or vegan would also improve the chances 😂
"it cost $3 to make"
Mark Cuban: *margins intensify*
He should have countered for 40% so he could still be the majority stakeholder.
At 40%, he still wouldn’t be since his ex-friend has 15%
@@KyleSorenti technically he would since he owns 85% and if Kevin takes 40%, he’ll be left with 45% lol
@@potato.fac3_ Exactly. Legally, Kevin calls all the shots moving forward unless he voluntarily gives up the right to refusal in writing to the owner.
@@acetrainer69 They didn't close this deal. I don't get how people don't realize that half of these deals don't happen. It's reality tv.
@@MultiJejje We know dw
Barb: "You came in with two legs and a heartbeat, so for those reasons I'm out!!"
I read in Forbes that this guy was visibly upset in the exit interview because he thought he gave away too much equity. The producers had to convince him it was a good deal. Then four months later, O’Leary called off the deal due to too much competition in the toy industry.
Psh what was all that talk from Kevin for then. Atleast the guy got his equity back
Well that really stinks! So much for Kevin being a man of his word. 🙄
ok thats not right
@@Bulbsonnnot really all talk. The deal was contingent on landing a deal with a major toy company. They probably didnt get anywhere hence him pulling out given the terms of the deal.
I'm sure Kevin takes a royalty from every subscription to this channel.
This was my toy for a long time. So surprise to see this on shark tank!
I think u r a little bit too old for that lol
Kevin changed his offer after everyone else dropped out 🤣
Vlad should've countered at 40%
I love kevin, but today, man that offer was brutal
he knew that guy had no option rather than taking the deal
He should have given Mark a Mavericks Logo, not a slice of pepperoni pizza (he doesn’t eat that)
Ikr
He obviously doesn't eat it. It isn't real pizza!
Mark would be so easy to please. Give him Dirk or Luka or anything Mavs related and it'd get his attention, how is no one doing this on Shark Tank?
@@highfalutinmanI was thinking the same thing, reminds me of the air fresheners where they gave him a Warriors themed product.
Kevin was really greedy here
I would absolutely not have taken that. I’ve watched a lot of shark tank, and I’ve never seen Kevin nearly DOUBLE his ask in equity solely based on the other sharks being out. That’s insulting, and it would have insulted me. I would have countered with 35% once he went to 50%.
Try starting your own toy business and see how that works out. Or put your own money up and invest in the company yourself if you think it’s going to take off. The ask is proportionate to the risk. People need to look past superficial numbers and actually put in effort to understand the business
@@AndorranStairway But why did the ask double after others leaving? The risk didn't change
Ya I've never seen him be quite so ruthless before
Welcome to Shark Tank - Guppie Tank is next door in the fluffy pink building, everyone their acts balanced and kind. Have Fun.
toy business is tough, Mark is right
The audio is WAY TOO LOW from when it was rendered
Just turn up your volume then.
Remember: Musk holds only 13% of Tesla, Bezos has 10% of Amazon, and Bill Gates hold just 1.4% of Microsoft. If you start a company, you never end up controlling everything and often not even a majority share. Businesses only survive due to a group effort, and the equity reflects that. That said, it was a crap deal, and I'm glad it fell through.
That’s because those are publicly traded companies lol. Even then, they’re all still the majority stakeholder.
because Bill gates and bezoz sold their shares over the years and musk's case is different even if he has only 13% he is the largest share holder
He should of took the 30% but honestly 35% of something huge is better than 85% of 100k let’s be honest. He pretty much said yes I don’t need to do the heavy lifting. Thank you very much Kevin. What a humble guy! Remember, he is young he can always create a new business and use the newly acquired wealth to build this next one!
They didn't close this deal. I don't get how people don't realize that half of these deals don't happen. It's reality tv.
@@MultiJejje Honestly I'm impressed some deals go through at all, I thought it was all just show but sometimes it really happens
@@MultiJejje More like there is a lot more due diligence to do than a one hour pitch before you put your money and effort into a company, and you can say yes under pressure and regret it later. In this particular case Kevin did say it was contingent on getting a deal with a toy company, so here it just makes sense.
Barbara’s impression of Al Pacino: Once I think I’m out they pull me back in. So I’m out.
Kevin is not your partner he's your boss
Barbara just sitting there smiling just can’t wait for her turn to say I’m Out
Barbara: I got a paper cut when I was 4 yrs old, for that reason I'm out.
The style of the toy has already at market around 80's and 90's
Damn… like how he said “I have a shark on MY team” lol
"I love the presentation, you're a great entrepreneur, the product is genius, your numbers were solid, the business is successful and in a growing industry, and for that reason, I'm out."
-Barbara
Always here
Well, I didn't see any other Shark offering to invest, except maybe Robert.
Like Mark said, toy industry is brutal.
If you think you're a better shark than Barbara, why don't you be a shark? I'm sure with your millions, and years of business experience, you would make a better shark than Barbara.
Where’s the comment that says what happened to the company? 😂
Its not really a new product. We have these pinblocks in the Philippines and I've been playing these toys since my childhood(early 90's). Yes these looks more premium and glossy plus the packaging is better, unlike what I used to play before it looks plastic with a matte finish and of course it cost less. Great show!
You're not an Uchiha sympathizer are you?
I agree, I've been playing that toy more than 2 decade ago.
@@suehan9699 in Vietnam?
Lol. Philippines? You sure? Those pinblocks is from China 😄 🤣
I have a lot of stuff that's Made in China, doesn't mean I'm Chinese
At 2:24 producer HAD to include the devil's horn. 🤘
He literally chose the perfect person to make the portrait lmao
“I don’t like Kevin’s deals, so I’m out.” 😂🤣🤣🤣
I assumed Kevin meant that the two of them would split his 85% and be equal partners, not give him majority shareholder status 😮
Kevin wanted 50 percent of the entire business, the guy would only hold 35 percent.
Plus it was contingent anyway to getting a deal with a major toy manufacturer and distributor like Toys R Us. Kevin would’ve done the most heavy lifting trying to get the product to Global status. Unfortunately the major toy manufacturers probably turned it down due to their deal with legos. And hence the deal failing.
My opinion is that he just sells the patent to Legos or something similar.
@@kickass2117 in that case 50 % split taken from his 85% and other guys 15% still the founder will be the majority stakeholder
Too quiet, ads blow my ears out
The editor should focus on the shark that makes the deal and show us after the show
Is the volume really low or is it just my hearing? 🤷🏾♀️
I wanna see Lori’s box 🤣
He's gonna use it and not take it but get it out there.

why is the volume so bad on this channel?

It took Lego 50 years to become the number 1 children's toy in the world
and a punch of licensing
Is this the first deal where the entrepreneur loses majority steak holder position!?
Nope. There was one with Lori on early season.
Most of them walk in only owning 50-75 percent of the company. Giving up control is in the mind of a lot of these investors.
“Better to own a small part of something HUGE than own a big part of something small.”
@@TheHikingLion that’s true, he would go nowhere without Kevin so he kinda had no choice. Should have taken the first deal before he raised it to 50%.
@@DOC_951 well, now Kevin is going to be more invested in the company. He also won’t need to do a lot of the heavy lifting, like the guy with the 15%, who’s not even in the company.
yes and it's a pretty medium rare occurrence for this to happen.
I dont think he actually understood the offer.

Good for this guy, but nobody is ever going to replace my the GOAT toy

He could still buy out his buddy to get that lost 15% back. If he has the money it wouldn't be a bad idea if the business is going places.

I bet Robert would have had offered him Kevin's prior 30% deal !!
He should've negotiated for more money instead of getting devalued so much
kevin tried to save him

I'm confused by how, after losing control of the company, you get to choose whether to contract with a toy business.
worst deal ever im glad it fell through

Extremely attractive XD
"I don't like that you didn't accept his offer, I'm out"-Barbra

Kevin like "Ya know, years ago I sold Mattel my toxic asset and tanked their stock by hundreds of millions in what's considered one of the worst acquisitions of all time so I know a thing or two about toys"
We've been playing this since the 90's. This is not new. Dont claim that you created it.
Compete with Lego? Imposible...
They’re not wrong. It’s an impossible business. Millions of toys out there. Nothing about his toy particularly stands out. If kids wants building block toys, they buy Lego.
If he continued down this path on his own, he would’ve gone bust. Better to have a small percentage of something large than have everything but go down the drain.
You can’t build a clown, watch, glasses, staff, etc. with legos
