- Опубліковано 5 вер 2019
- Adam Riley entered the Tank seeking £20,000 for a 20% equity stake - his company 'Case Boards' trade light, compact and personalised vehicles. He amazed the Sharks with his use of 'cash flow' to keep up with demand for his product. Which Shark will tag along for the long ride?
An international sensation, Shark Tank AUS features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Tank from our Sharks, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

" You're negotiating. I like that.
No."
I'm dead.
Was about to comment the same thing 😂
He handled it perfectly though. Accepted the response.. then comes back and gives them the same exact offer they said No too. He stuck to his ground because he knows his worth. The sharks know it and respect it.
😂😂
@@rafaelrondon63 I'm pretty sure he gave them 5% more equity then they said no to.

My name is akhmed btw.
I liked the guy who tried to help him through the deal, he was out but he still tried to explain the deals to him
I met him in person and he is a really upfront genuine guy
Charlie Norman where?
Charlie Norman sounds cool! I believe you he seems very genuine
He does that for everyone lol
Steve. Where are you from?.......Nice!

The anxiety this guy must’ve been feeling. Props to him for negotiating well under pressure instead of just giving away 50 %

Bullshit don't make assumptions
@@joewatson6686 bullshit don't make assumptions
He did well considering they didn't ask any of the important questions like battery life and travel distance etc
Indeed. I'm not in Australia so I don't know some things that are country specific, but I can think of several things off the top of my head.
a) How does it get over kerbs? Do you need to step off the board every time?
b) Do you have to use a cycle track? Surely there's a safety thing on 35 km/h vehicle on regular sidewalks
c) How does it deal with gradient? Isn't travelling uphill somewhat of a nuisance on this?
@@chriss790 If it was more like a normal skateboard I'd just sorta ollie/ bump ollie roll up the kerb or gutter as we call em in Aus.....Not sure this thing would handle that kind of abuse though but we're pretty good for bike paths here so there prob wouldn't be too many gutters ya had to get off for......And as far as I know I don't think there's any regulations in Aus when it comes to things like electric skateboards...Only if it's got a petrol motor over 50cc....And some electric boards do alright up hill....Others not so much......Just depends on how powerful it is I suppose...Doubt I'd never buy one as I'd want one more like a standard skateboard..... But I'd be curious to try one :-)
Also what is the weight limit and how long it takes to charge up. The product line is missing a few accessories (helmet, wrist guards, back-pack, back up battery, warranty/repair option).
And how heavy it is as I said why couldn't it be a backpack too all you need is 2 straps 4 pins and have spare batteries for longer distances
A lot of what’s asked is off camera and that might have been one of the questions asked without being put in to the show, I feel like that’s something they couldn’t have missed over

You have to pay 20k In order to get on the show i get the guy wants the publicity for his business, but hes selling the entire company so i literally can't think of a single thing he would get out of this

I love engineers & innovators. These are the people who change the world. Clearly, this guy is not a business person, still, he holds his ground under a lot of pressure. My heart & blessing goes to him.
The investers in this show are so down to earth and not insecure.

"There's a man on a skateboard with a gun!"
My first thought too
Yes that guy he’s just been robbed in life television
That was some expert negotiation on his part, very nicely played. And no attitude, no major personality issues, he's not a jerk, he's incredibly intelligent. I love how he was just standing there crunching numbers and working them over.
He could have easily fetch 40k-60k more
The woman in red made an offer? This is a once in a lifetime moment
animesh singhal 😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Yes she did an offer.
Shocking
It's a perfect fit for the businesses she owns.

Big mistake making the controller look like a gun 🔫
Atleast its white not black .Like who even owns a white gun bruv
@@htsandy3136 what about when it's night time. It's a mistake nontheless.
They should make it a wrist band with smart detection. Tilt wrist to move. Also with voice control
stevie198686 I think that would be a little over the top
if you look at the current version, its not even going for the original asking price. they're going for 399 US and the controller looks more like an rc car controller from the 2000's
A great negotiation by this guy...I think he used John and Naomi's offer as a decoy here to bring Andrew and janine down from 50 to 35.. Really well negotiated.
He needed the USA market Andrew offering
Andrew definitely knows how to play the room haha, quickly took back the attention and asked the lad if HE would accept the offer and made sure that he didnt have to negotiate again, thats definitely a smart play!!
You know what I like about this. These sharks are giving him advice onto what decision he wants to make. They are not pushing him or anything, they actually care about his business. Yea they rejected one of his offers but that's business.
One of the calmest and best negotiations ive seen on the show. Well done!
Australian : 20k for 10% stake
American : 200k for 10% stake
I really hope Branson watches this episode and give him much better offer, he deserves better offer
FBI called, they want their negotiator back
This guy was a chef, owned a restaurant, and engineers electric skateboards? Seems to good to be true actually. But then I see his negotiation balls at the end, this guy is a beast.
The amount of terminology every person that walks this stage has to understand when a shark/dragon makes is making an offer in insane!
My man avoided losing half of his business hell yeah 😍
Dude, he still lost 40% for a measly 40k. They robbed that poor guy!

Crazy. I looked up the net worth and it’s 30 million and rising. They sell them for way cheaper though. Around 400. SMART to lower the price instead of almost 2k a piece. Living comfortably I bet
NICE
Link for his products?
The sharks in this show are so helpful and respectful and give out their honest advices for free even if they aren't buying in especially Steve
Wow! Full length pitches uploaded straight to UA-cam! Would be nice if Shark Tank US did the same!
this isn't a full lenght though, aome are edited out for dead airs, sometimes as you see are jump cuts to some episodes
just my observation, though
This would have gotten 2 million valuation at The US version. Wow
Nah. We already have multiple electric skateboards in the US. The uh definitely lowballed the hell outta him tho
@@thegg5097 he has the pattent tbh... that makes it powerful.
@@TheBloodypimp patents can be pending but regardless in the usa there is many "patented" electric skateboards. We got bolt on kits, fully customized boards, etc. They are all different. Patents are easy to get around also. As long as it's not identical the patent is meaningless
You all are missing the point he made the deal first, his company is in a highly competitive market in the beginning phases of just starting to sell the board. They could lose all of there money on this idea.
I'm in Australia and I use Boosted. They're the main competitor here for electric boards even over Australian and Chinese companies. Their marketing and online presence has given them a massive presence.
When he said "you are negotiating I like it" I was like "Really"😂😂
Listen to the laughter of the shark in red when the offer is accepted. wow!
That'd be Naomi. Her evil "we've got them now!" laugh is like nails on a chalkboard to me. 😬
Am I the only one who thinks this innocent guy has been robbed in a live television?

According to Riley, the folding board can reach speeds of 21.5 mph (35 km/h). The board’s underside playing host to a 36 V, 7 Ah LiFePO4 battery that provides power to a 500 watt brushless motor that drives the 78a wheels, mounted on longboard trucks. Riley claims a recharge time of three to five hours for the battery, which should provide a range of around 18.5 miles (30 km) depending on terrain. The board also features regenerative braking to feed some power back to the battery when slowing down or going down steep hills (Can travel up hills to a 12% gradient)

the greed shown by these sharks is unbelievable. he didn't ask for much for 10% but they tried 25%.
They might have thought he was too naive judging by his looks but good to know he outsmarted them.
The people that go on the show are likely asked by the producers to ask for much less than they are actually willing to accept just to make the episode more exciting, and the sharks knows this.

The lowest was for a case of beer
There was a $1 deal on the very first episode. There’s been numerous $5k deals on both Aus and UK, and another deal for a box of beer.

Negotiated like a champion. well done!
Aussies are too nice to talk, not to offend Americans but that's how they talk.
I would have gotten a business loan from a bank at under 7% and use that money for Facebook ads.
Buttery Skater Facebook ads won’t get you connections though. Yes this is costing him a lot of equity but If these two sharks catapult his business it will save years on building up and in the long run be better. If he does things with 1 or no sharks, there is a risk of it missing its opportunity to take off.
I think he makes the right decision.Although he has to give more share in his company, he had acess to loan that he really needs to grow his business and a loan plus acess to American market
After saw this clip, china already have the production running by 2 days... so called shark
I love the Aussie version "Alright mate, how's it going, I like ya, let's have a drink and a chat over a pile of money"
Those two weren't getting any love because getting into both the US and AUS markets is a better deal, by far. Plus, I think he knew he could make an accepted counter for it
I fucking love this guy. Best negotiator on this show period. 💪🏼
Why is Shark Tank Australia being pushed so hard on the algorithm.
I think it was Kevin O'Leary from the Sharks US that said the best deal is one where both parties are somewhat unhappy. I see that playing out a lot in practice in these types of deals. Everyone gives a little because they see value but also want to mitigate risk.
Well negotiated by him, he might not have the stage presence but he definitely did fine for himself
this was genuinely the most intense negotitation of shark deal.
50% getting comfortable? you're negotiating i like that - " no" LOL
Based on his introduction:
1199.00 aud and he already sold 150 pcs before shark tank and 500 aud is the cost to make one board
So he already got 104,000 aud before sharktank and he was modestly asking for 20,000.
Where can I get one?
I've been waiting for the new season of Australian Shark Tank
He handled that quite well.
Wow, the lady in red has such a hearty infectious laugh 😍
Didn’t he say he was a chef and invented this 23 years ago??!!

Money management prpblems? 😆
This guy is very impressive, clearly very smart without showing all his cards through an arrogant personality. He will have to redesign the remote though, I'm a bit surprised he went with the pistol look to begin with. Although many remote control toys from 20-70 years ago used remotes that had similar shapes, so it's not that unusual from a design perspective.
This one fr actually made me clap 😂. He knows how to deal, that's for sure lol
