I rarely agree with critics. I adore Johnny as a person and as an actor. If he's in a movie, I'll definitely see it. I love his quirky, unique characters. I also believe he is a good, kind person. I do NOT believe he would physically hurt anyone except in self defense.

I've been watching the defamation case between Depp and Heard live the last few days and it quickly became clear that Amber Heard is devious, manipulative, and very provocative. She seems to have a circle of friends that scheme ways to screw people over for their own benefit.
Also I've seen Minamata twice now and it's a great movie. The fact that Johnny Depp wasn't at least nominated for awards for his role shows how bullshit these award ceremonies have become. They're putting politics before art, and that defeats the purpose.

Always loved Johnny Depp's performance, appearence and selection of movies. I don't know who he is behind closed curtains, and he surely had a very rough childhood and a personality that may be crazy and tough to deal with at points, but I'd question that he beat her or that he was the sole reason for such behavior and deserved that attention. I've had my fair share with people who can drive you absolutely crazy, who are abusive, narcisstic, who know what buttons to press and so on.

For me, Johnny is a brilliant actor in fantasy roles. Serious movies don't fit his creative genie and this is why many of the more serious movies don't work out. The movies we're not that interesting with johnny being normal which bothers the audience my guess. They had high expectations that it could be more fun so they get more frustrated and leaned towards negative reviews. Even though Johnny did a fantastic job.. Amber is the true devil in his life and I hope he gets better.

I have found that if critics don’t like it, I love it. I love to watch Depp. He brings his best to each role. I’m glad he won the case against Heard. What a beast she is! Who videos every argument with the one they are supposed to love? Gold digger. Sad Johnny had to endure all that. A bright future is wished for him and many roles to play in!
I'm on team Depp! I also love the Pirates of the Caribbean. He made that movie what it is and I wouldn't watch if they replaced him.
