I feel like the Gods Knights are similiar to Squad Zero from Bleach. The reason they dont intervene, is due to the fact they are specifically there to protect Imu-sama, and not anyone else. Just like how Squad zero ONLY protects the soul king, and the Gotei 13 is what protects Seireitei. The marines and Cipher pol 0 could be the gotei 13 here, that protect Marijoa, and the Gods Knights ONLY protect Imu.
They clearly have other duties than protecting Im. We know they mediate disputes between celestials. It's more likely that their main job is to protect Marie Jois in the event war is declared on it. Dragon said that he was afraid of them being mobilized. This means they likely aren't kept in a battle ready state. They may even be scattered around the world, perhaps acting as Im's personal intelligence service.
The world gov needed to have larger threats than the admirals but also not at IMUs level. It was a good move to make the gov more threatening as well as gives the revs a reason to enter the fight

Its a good line of thinking that the Gorosei are previous God knights. They all have scars that (most likely) came from fierce battles. Which i guess would imply they can probably flex a bit even at this age. Saturn is about to surprise us.

i think the gorosei all received the op-op immortality. The youngest looking got it first, took them a while to get the fruit back and figure out how to recycle, so then the rest got it 10-20 years after the first guy. They all talk about how the fruit evaded them for 800 years, they often talk about events from hundreds of years ago like they were there. I can't see them as people who were born in the last 50-80 years
If the Gorosei aren't fighters, the scars could have also been received from assassination attempts that they have survived, which I'd imagine is something that many people in the One Piece world have probably tried, to kill the Gorosei.

I would argue that neither fisher tiger nor the revolutionary army were threatening enough to justify sending out the gods knights. Probably because they’re secretive enough that it’s either a “I’d tell (or show) you they exist, but then I’d have to kill you.” Or a “these guys are the sledge hammer solution when the scalpel of cipher pol doesn’t cut it” kind of deal that just wreaks havoc when they get involved. Like let’s make a (massive) assumption that these guys are yonko level, and they are deployed to a place like alubarna. That city no longer exists. That would take considerable resources to cover up.
Would be interesting to explore the 'strength via privilege' concept. The most bonkers of devil fruits, hand-picked; the most elite of trainers for extremely specific skills around using those powers; high-end rare equipment like refined sea prison stone weapons

The God's Knights' existence fills in an important missing piece of the final war, I always wonder what really is the true powerbase of the WG, it can't be the Marines because the Gorousei said that they were but the public face of the WG, and the way they dismissed Sakazuki's (whom I don't think would be loyal to them in the end game for a long time, he is too righteous, now he can pursuit his own dream, to create a world of righteousness with a disciplined incorruptible iron fist) authority makes me realize they must have a more powerful (maybe) and most importantly loyal force as their ace in the hole. So when they introduced the CP-0 I thought they were it, but then their showing at Wano while adequate were far from impressive for the supposed final bosses, not to mention they are agents and police, not the royal guard. The God's Knights, now it makes perfect sense.

I'm actually really glad that the God's Knights were introduced, because I always wondered what the Tenryubito would do if a Yonko ever attacked the holy land directly. I don't think even all of the Admirals together could take down an entire Yonko fleet like Kaido's, (and they're not always there anyways).

What if the gods knights are from the void century. They where Ims original group, with whom they took over the world. They dont have the immortality of Im and have to be kept in the freezer when not needed (the one where we see Im with the giant straw hat). It would also make sense if they are actually are super strong, because you dont get that strong by just training and being constantly in mary geosie.
Considering these are the knights of God they very well might be named after or inspired by the Templar knights of which there were several and if I had to wager a guess? Their fruits or powers are going to be angelic or heavenly in nature/theme. Now what they also might do is make these knights a reference to the Archangels, the literal heavenly warriors that fight for God. Samuel, Micheal, Azrael etc. I would imagine the strongest would be Azrael because that is said to be the strongest of gods angels.
I like this idea, but Metatron is the "strongest" angel, he is so powerful he is literally called the "Lesser Almighty" in ancient semitic texts. He's also, weirdly, the only one allowed to sit on the throne of God when God was "away." Until some random old man mistook him for the actual Almighty in which the old man was cast into Hell and Metatron was whipped by fiery throngs and made to be the lead teacher of Purgatory. He's probably like Heaven's number 3 after God and Jesus. Saint Michael probably is number 4 as he is the lead general of Heaven's host. Azrael, I always inferred, was just the angel of death, not of death like in war, but death as in old age or divine punishment like the first born of Egypt. Kind of a "gentler" death?
I dig this idea too, though imo it would make most sense if they were a bastardised blend of the famous angelic figures you've mentioned, and the Dii Consentes that are left unaccounted for.
Pretty sure Azrael is when it comes to his task a solid nr 4. His purpose is booth to extract the dould of good men gently to fery them to heavens gates or painfully ripp out the sluld of the bad. He is made to kill and collect. Ourside of combat and killing? Less so. But like Anubis in the egyptian pantheon a neutral and nesssary Angel worth of respect and praise.
I didn't expect any secret power scaling characters this late in. It already looked mapped out with Admirals, Gorosei, Blackbeard, and Shanks. Also Seraphim, IM, and Rebels
Remember Gan Fall from Skypeia? He's a "God Knight" who suspiciously looks like the tall Gorosei member. Could he have been a clone? Are ALL God Knights clones?

I think a major theme of One Piece is information control, considering everything on top of the Red line survived the flood and something there interfered with the energy source of the Iron Giant. I believe that the Devil tree where all devil fruit powers originate from is there and it can extract power from people who haven't awakened their fruit or aren't part of the D Clan but if you are touching it it doesn't matter, maybe some connection to the ocean as it could have dominion over the seas while all the other powers it has attracted from human souls leaks out. Once you eat a fruit you become part of the devil trees power cycle as you grow in power you become nutrients for the tree to gain in power, we have already seen how its possible to control people through devil fruit powers through the mochi cheek girl. As a former noble family member maybe shanks has an Idea on this and is why his crew doesn't eat any fruits as his plan is to someday confront the devil tree and Imu.
How about the God's knights are the masters of different arts of sorts. 3 Hakis Observation Armament Conquerors 3Devil Fruits Zoan Logia Paramecia 3 Martial arts..? Rokushiki Fishman Karate idk...

Since the return of One Piece after Wano, I've been reading threads and comments about the differences between fan translations and official releases. And to be honest, I prefer the fan translation nearly every time. There are a few times where the officials sound better/explain things better, but the fan version just flows more nicely. Case in point; fan version is "God's Knights." Official version is "Holy Knights." The first one sounds way cooler.
I think the god knights played a role in taken down kuma. We don't know what kuma did but he was a king and got taken down. I'm sure imu is the one who orders the gorosei to summon the god knights and does the dirty work that the marines can't do or know about like wiping a country out
I can see the God's Knights being likely on par power wise with a Yonko Crew. Given how it was made a big deal about the balance of the Yonko being important and how dangerous it was for two of them to ally together. As far as how they can be so strong, I wonder if perhaps they are tied to Im and their power actually might be bestowed by Im having a rather then Devil Fruit Powers having 'Angelic' power opposing the Devil Fruits in which IM is able to bestow upon those Im chooses.
The gods knight has to be a yonko commander 1st at best, But with all of them combined, That makes a yonko crew with only 10 people (including im) Luffy is now yonko level and im is yonko level, They can fight each other and the 1st yonko commanders can fight the other SH's because they are now officially a yonko crew, They no longer a upstart crew, We're also getting closer to end game here and it wouldn't make sense that the SH's now fighting weak people, They have to be strong and the gods nights + im is a perfect example of that representation of a yonko crew of the SH's 10 V 10 which we can now finally see how much the SH's grew a lot and them representing a official yonko strong crew

Your theory about the God's Knight's only being mobilized by Imu seems to track. Because, at least personally, I feel like Imu is the real killer of Cobra and that's what led to Sabo seeing Imu. So now Sabo has become a direct threat to Imu and is why they are being mobilized now

What seems right to me is the straw hats fighting the god’s knights and Imu first, then duel/davy back against blackbeard to stop him from taking over the recently liberated world
I think the Gods Knights were formed after Fisher Tigers assault. Fisher Tiger sneaks in and wreaks havoc and gets out before the admirals are mobilized and so the Gods Knights must've been created as an immediate response unit. Also I wouldn't be surprised if the God's Knights priority is to protect Im first and foremost, so if Mariejois is under attack, the Knights go to Im instead of dealing with the attack.
That's possible but I see issues with this, If there was no gods knights when fisher tiger successfully wrecked havoc, How was they able to stay in power for those 800 years? the iron giant incident is the one I am leaning on of the creation of the gods knights, It wouldn't make sense for this new group to be introduced 11-12 years later after the fisher tiger assault, The time frame just doesn't add up properly, the iron giant incident is the most possible one which is 200 years ago way before rocks came into power.
I'll throw a scenario out. Not LUFFY + BB, but Luffy + Shanks VS God's Knights. BB then swoops in at the last second (like he always does), Shanks tells Luffy to go and stays to delay BB, Shanks then dies. Then they meet at Laughtale and we get the Luffy VS BB which Luffy wins ofc, then they sail to fight the WG next.
I think there will be a large variance of power in them like in the Espada. It would be too much to introduce 10 new yonko or admiral level threats so late in the story. But 1 or 2 would be reasonable
or they are simply a group of people specialized in working together perhaps to the extend of being basically Pain. basically can Xv1 anyone with ease when at their home turf but have some clear weakness tying them to a physical location

CP0 is the scalpel meant for precision attacks and it’s not critical is one is lost on a mission. Gods knights are the gold hammer for straightforward operation where the loss of a knight is worth more so they are used sparingly outside of the holy land and are mostly regulators of the regular celestial dragons.
This God's Knight thing reminds me of the Custodes in Warhammer 40k. In it the Custodes are the top of the top of Humanity, the Superer Super super soldiers and their sole purpose is to protect Earth, and the God Emperor's throne most of all so they rarely go out of earth and if so, only a handful of them. Literally a handful in most cases like 2 of them and some other Imperial forces to aid them. Maybe the God's knight are like that? They are basically Yonko level or near it, stronger than the admirals but they ONLY answer to Im and will only act if the Throne is ever threatened.
The God's knight kind of reminds of the custodes from Warhammer 40k if anyone knows the franchise. Basically the are the bodyguard to the man known as the emperor of mankind and a master combatants that the fight like lion. But they are also politicians, advisors and scholars, they only listen to the emperor or in this case Imu.
In regards to your thoughts about the Blackbeard pirates: when you start One Piece, the entire scope of the world's conflict is basically pirates vs marines. As the story progresses the geopolitics open up and you start to learn about all of these different factions both within and between empires, and other unaffiliated pirate groups and lands, and all of these conflicts and alliances. But now things are slowly starting to line up into 'for the celestial dragons' and 'against the celestial dragons', and I think at the end things are going to parallel the beginning 'pirates vs marines' simple conflict with the 'nobles vs everyone else' simple conflict

Recently ive been thinking that the god's knights were some of the rocks pirates that got to become celestial dragons with a deal to protect the gorosei basically. It would make sense with the "power scale". Almost all of the rocks pirates members that we knew were strong atleast at the level of admirals. And if not, i aslo thought they might be the past best fleet admirals/admirals every 100 years . 9 kinghts=900 years of void
What if Shanks is actually a prototype sort of version of the cloning technology we see now (specifically where they seem to age rapidly) and this goes into fanfictiony territory, but if that God's Knight is the guy we saw a reverie... even for twins, its crazy for people to look 1:1 the EXACT same... especially if they led entirely seperate lives... given that the Shanks look-alike was presented at the center, I think it might not be too presumptuous to say he might be the strongest (or that because he looks like Shanks, its setting the tone for the power of the group) but, if he's the "best knight" it might not be such a strech that if Im is immortal, this knight is too, and early clone technology was focused on making more of HIM. Probably as more super-soldiers or something, but on a greater level. I also dont think this would've involved Vegapunk, and that while his genius surpassed what they had access to, that the tenryubito already had access to great inventions... idk, just a thought. Maybe its not a Shanks copy, but that Shanks IS the copy.
False sense of freedom is probably just why they're not killing off the Yonko, but now that the false sense of freedom has finally become a revolution with a strong leadership, it would be time to bust out the weapons that they use to just quell that. The Government does not care if there are Yonko or not because they fight each other anyways, they're not a strong group that team up to fight them so they can pick them off 1 by 1 if they wanted to. If the Yonko had a strong leader and all 4 of them come together as one WITHOUT any bickering, yeah that would be more threatening to the government.

Well Mihawk is the strongest of the 3. He is on good terms with Zoro. His pupil and man he lungs to duel when Zoro reaches his peak. If Mihawk says "We fight with my pupil" there is nothing crocodile of Buggy can do yk?
I believe Blackbeard will be out the story when it becomes the final war of pirates vs world government. I can see Kaido coming back even Doflamingo teaming up before I see Blackbeard.
My guess is that the God's Knights together have the strength of one Yonko's crew. The leader, probably pseudo-Shanks, is Yonko level while the remaining ones are at commander level. I think this would be a good balance of strength for an endgame reveal. Edit: By commander level I mean their strengths range from Cracker at the low-end to King at the high-end. Currently, I think Rob Lucci is at Cracker level.
Oda's pattern be like: Twelve Supreme Swords Eleven Supernovas Ten Titanic Captains Nine Holy Knights Eight Revolutionary Nations Seven Warlods Six Open Seas Five Elder Stars Four Emperors of the Sea Three Ancient Weapons Two Redline mountains and the greatest treasure One Piece
So, What if the god's knights aren't necessarily very strong, physically, but have some form of insanely strong ability. I imagine conquerors haki to a new level of mastery.
@@christhefiendI didn't mean to say that they were as weak to get one shot, but rather their threat doesn't lie within combat potential, they could be... let's say cp0 level physically, but they have either individual powers that are scary, or one collective type of power that make them as a group scary. I have nothing concrete as of right now, but I feel like that might be where oda ends up going with it.

I think Shanks does have a twin and it’s the twin we see in chapter 907. Because if you go back to chapter 434, where Shanks and Whitebeard met, we see a profile of Shanks’ right side. Oda drew the scar on Shanks’ forehead reaching over to the right side of Shanks’ face. The profile in 907 doesn’t have that scar. That’s not something Oda would forget. That’s a deliberate choice.
I believe shanks has a twin brother but we haven’t seen him yet. Honestly considering shanks and Uta were discovered in treasure boxes there design layouts might be used for the god knights.

Mihawk could feasably have been a gods knight in the past? Very regal and has Yoru- has that gentle style sword play. Dragon could have even been one? (Son of garp drafted in?) Also im terms of strength id imagine that there are tiers within the God Knights just like any pirate crew- Leader, commanders, crew, comic relief.

I just hope they do not get treated like the Spriggan 12 from Fairy Tail. Hyped up to be the tippy top of the bunch, really strong, then only lost because of the power of friendship, talk no jutsu, and because they had a change of heart at the last second.
I remember I thought maybe a family member of dragon is part of god knights but than I remember he not one of them plus if he was the family would of been destroyed. But guess this might confirm that dragons wife is one of world royal.
I think a Holy Knight was seen ages ago in the Punk Hazard arc during Clown's televised demo of his freshly made weapon Smiley with the horned broker with the feathered coat being the shadow of the horned knight when Dragon introduced this new faction in his thought bubble. I believe the horned knight wanted to use Smiley either as a steed or weapon.
Any chance you could do a part 2 of all canon and non-canon Devil Fruits explained? Also it would be cool if you did a video about what all the currently unknown and unclassified canon and non-canon Devil Fruits are named and classed under such as Bonney and Urouge's devil fruits names being unknown to us or how we don't know what class Smash and Prince Grus' devil fruits fall under. Lastly it would be cool if you did a speculation video about what devil fruits we could see in the future as well as who may have them such as Imu and Dragon.
In Norse myth we have 9 realms and considering my theory that IM is based off the Norse creator deity Yimir perhaps like the daimyo of Wano these nine knights rule over 9 regions of Elbaf and considering when we got introduced to Elbaf it was called the Warring Land of Elbaf so these knights could act like peacekeepers which is why they have been inactive in the main storyline because they have been contending with feuding giants.

I feel like the Gods Knights are similiar to Squad Zero from Bleach. The reason they dont intervene, is due to the fact they are specifically there to protect Imu-sama, and not anyone else. Just like how Squad zero ONLY protects the soul king, and the Gotei 13 is what protects Seireitei. The marines and Cipher pol 0 could be the gotei 13 here, that protect Marijoa, and the Gods Knights ONLY protect Imu.

They clearly have other duties than protecting Im. We know they mediate disputes between celestials. It's more likely that their main job is to protect Marie Jois in the event war is declared on it. Dragon said that he was afraid of them being mobilized. This means they likely aren't kept in a battle ready state. They may even be scattered around the world, perhaps acting as Im's personal intelligence service.
The world gov needed to have larger threats than the admirals but also not at IMUs level. It was a good move to make the gov more threatening as well as gives the revs a reason to enter the fight

i think the gorosei all received the op-op immortality. The youngest looking got it first, took them a while to get the fruit back and figure out how to recycle, so then the rest got it 10-20 years after the first guy.
They all talk about how the fruit evaded them for 800 years, they often talk about events from hundreds of years ago like they were there. I can't see them as people who were born in the last 50-80 years
If the Gorosei aren't fighters, the scars could have also been received from assassination attempts that they have survived, which I'd imagine is something that many people in the One Piece world have probably tried, to kill the Gorosei.

I like the idea of the God's Knights being directly under Imu, that puts them right into the place in the story they need to be.
The God's Knights' existence fills in an important missing piece of the final war, I always wonder what really is the true powerbase of the WG, it can't be the Marines because the Gorousei said that they were but the public face of the WG, and the way they dismissed Sakazuki's (whom I don't think would be loyal to them in the end game for a long time, he is too righteous, now he can pursuit his own dream, to create a world of righteousness with a disciplined incorruptible iron fist) authority makes me realize they must have a more powerful (maybe) and most importantly loyal force as their ace in the hole. So when they introduced the CP-0 I thought they were it, but then their showing at Wano while adequate were far from impressive for the supposed final bosses, not to mention they are agents and police, not the royal guard. The God's Knights, now it makes perfect sense.

I'm actually really glad that the God's Knights were introduced, because I always wondered what the Tenryubito would do if a Yonko ever attacked the holy land directly. I don't think even all of the Admirals together could take down an entire Yonko fleet like Kaido's, (and they're not always there anyways).

What if the gods knights are from the void century. They where Ims original group, with whom they took over the world. They dont have the immortality of Im and have to be kept in the freezer when not needed (the one where we see Im with the giant straw hat). It would also make sense if they are actually are super strong, because you dont get that strong by just training and being constantly in mary geosie.
Considering these are the knights of God they very well might be named after or inspired by the Templar knights of which there were several and if I had to wager a guess? Their fruits or powers are going to be angelic or heavenly in nature/theme.
Now what they also might do is make these knights a reference to the Archangels, the literal heavenly warriors that fight for God. Samuel, Micheal, Azrael etc.
I would imagine the strongest would be Azrael because that is said to be the strongest of gods angels.
I like this idea, but Metatron is the "strongest" angel, he is so powerful he is literally called the "Lesser Almighty" in ancient semitic texts.
He's also, weirdly, the only one allowed to sit on the throne of God when God was "away." Until some random old man mistook him for the actual Almighty in which the old man was cast into Hell and Metatron was whipped by fiery throngs and made to be the lead teacher of Purgatory. He's probably like Heaven's number 3 after God and Jesus. Saint Michael probably is number 4 as he is the lead general of Heaven's host. Azrael, I always inferred, was just the angel of death, not of death like in war, but death as in old age or divine punishment like the first born of Egypt. Kind of a "gentler" death?

The fact that oda is getting applauded for introducing such an important faction this late in the story shows how some OP fans will eat up anything oda throws at them no matter how garbage or lazy it is... and this is the same fanbase who keeps bigging up oda for being this supposed "god at foreshadowing"🤦♂️... it's like some of y'all have turned off your ability to critically think for yourself.
I think a major theme of One Piece is information control, considering everything on top of the Red line survived the flood and something there interfered with the energy source of the Iron Giant. I believe that the Devil tree where all devil fruit powers originate from is there and it can extract power from people who haven't awakened their fruit or aren't part of the D Clan but if you are touching it it doesn't matter, maybe some connection to the ocean as it could have dominion over the seas while all the other powers it has attracted from human souls leaks out. Once you eat a fruit you become part of the devil trees power cycle as you grow in power you become nutrients for the tree to gain in power, we have already seen how its possible to control people through devil fruit powers through the mochi cheek girl. As a former noble family member maybe shanks has an Idea on this and is why his crew doesn't eat any fruits as his plan is to someday confront the devil tree and Imu.

Since the return of One Piece after Wano, I've been reading threads and comments about the differences between fan translations and official releases. And to be honest, I prefer the fan translation nearly every time. There are a few times where the officials sound better/explain things better, but the fan version just flows more nicely.
Case in point; fan version is "God's Knights." Official version is "Holy Knights." The first one sounds way cooler.
I think the god knights played a role in taken down kuma. We don't know what kuma did but he was a king and got taken down. I'm sure imu is the one who orders the gorosei to summon the god knights and does the dirty work that the marines can't do or know about like wiping a country out

I can see the God's Knights being likely on par power wise with a Yonko Crew. Given how it was made a big deal about the balance of the Yonko being important and how dangerous it was for two of them to ally together. As far as how they can be so strong, I wonder if perhaps they are tied to Im and their power actually might be bestowed by Im having a rather then Devil Fruit Powers having 'Angelic' power opposing the Devil Fruits in which IM is able to bestow upon those Im chooses.
The gods knight has to be a yonko commander 1st at best, But with all of them combined, That makes a yonko crew with only 10 people (including im) Luffy is now yonko level and im is yonko level, They can fight each other and the 1st yonko commanders can fight the other SH's because they are now officially a yonko crew, They no longer a upstart crew, We're also getting closer to end game here and it wouldn't make sense that the SH's now fighting weak people, They have to be strong and the gods nights + im is a perfect example of that representation of a yonko crew of the SH's 10 V 10 which we can now finally see how much the SH's grew a lot and them representing a official yonko strong crew

Your theory about the God's Knight's only being mobilized by Imu seems to track. Because, at least personally, I feel like Imu is the real killer of Cobra and that's what led to Sabo seeing Imu. So now Sabo has become a direct threat to Imu and is why they are being mobilized now

I think the Gods Knights were formed after Fisher Tigers assault.
Fisher Tiger sneaks in and wreaks havoc and gets out before the admirals are mobilized and so the Gods Knights must've been created as an immediate response unit.
Also I wouldn't be surprised if the God's Knights priority is to protect Im first and foremost, so if Mariejois is under attack, the Knights go to Im instead of dealing with the attack.
That's possible but I see issues with this, If there was no gods knights when fisher tiger successfully wrecked havoc, How was they able to stay in power for those 800 years? the iron giant incident is the one I am leaning on of the creation of the gods knights, It wouldn't make sense for this new group to be introduced 11-12 years later after the fisher tiger assault, The time frame just doesn't add up properly, the iron giant incident is the most possible one which is 200 years ago way before rocks came into power.

Not LUFFY + BB, but Luffy + Shanks VS God's Knights.
BB then swoops in at the last second (like he always does), Shanks tells Luffy to go and stays to delay BB, Shanks then dies.
Then they meet at Laughtale and we get the Luffy VS BB which Luffy wins ofc, then they sail to fight the WG next.
Were the knights at godsvalley, perhaps with them it wasn't enough to stop rocks thus roger garp team up became necessary

CP0 is the scalpel meant for precision attacks and it’s not critical is one is lost on a mission.
Gods knights are the gold hammer for straightforward operation where the loss of a knight is worth more so they are used sparingly outside of the holy land and are mostly regulators of the regular celestial dragons.

This God's Knight thing reminds me of the Custodes in Warhammer 40k. In it the Custodes are the top of the top of Humanity, the Superer Super super soldiers and their sole purpose is to protect Earth, and the God Emperor's throne most of all so they rarely go out of earth and if so, only a handful of them. Literally a handful in most cases like 2 of them and some other Imperial forces to aid them.
Maybe the God's knight are like that? They are basically Yonko level or near it, stronger than the admirals but they ONLY answer to Im and will only act if the Throne is ever threatened.
Imu-Sama is basically Dark Lord Archetype God-Emperor God-King of the World and of those who deem themselves Gods so yeah...

Basically the are the bodyguard to the man known as the emperor of mankind and a master combatants that the fight like lion. In regards to your thoughts about the Blackbeard pirates: when you start One Piece, the entire scope of the world's conflict is basically pirates vs marines. As the story progresses the geopolitics open up and you start to learn about all of these different factions both within and between empires, and other unaffiliated pirate groups and lands, and all of these conflicts and alliances.
But now things are slowly starting to line up into 'for the celestial dragons' and 'against the celestial dragons', and I think at the end things are going to parallel the beginning 'pirates vs marines' simple conflict with the 'nobles vs everyone else' simple conflict

Recently ive been thinking that the god's knights were some of the rocks pirates that got to become celestial dragons with a deal to protect the gorosei basically. It would make sense with the "power scale". Almost all of the rocks pirates members that we knew were strong atleast at the level of admirals.
And if not, i aslo thought they might be the past best fleet admirals/admirals every 100 years . 9 kinghts=900 years of void
What if Shanks is actually a prototype sort of version of the cloning technology we see now (specifically where they seem to age rapidly) and this goes into fanfictiony territory, but if that God's Knight is the guy we saw a reverie... even for twins, its crazy for people to look 1:1 the EXACT same... especially if they led entirely seperate lives... given that the Shanks look-alike was presented at the center, I think it might not be too presumptuous to say he might be the strongest (or that because he looks like Shanks, its setting the tone for the power of the group) but, if he's the "best knight" it might not be such a strech that if Im is immortal, this knight is too, and early clone technology was focused on making more of HIM. Probably as more super-soldiers or something, but on a greater level. I also dont think this would've involved Vegapunk, and that while his genius surpassed what they had access to, that the tenryubito already had access to great inventions... idk, just a thought. Maybe its not a Shanks copy, but that Shanks IS the copy.
False sense of freedom is probably just why they're not killing off the Yonko, but now that the false sense of freedom has finally become a revolution with a strong leadership, it would be time to bust out the weapons that they use to just quell that.
The Government does not care if there are Yonko or not because they fight each other anyways, they're not a strong group that team up to fight them so they can pick them off 1 by 1 if they wanted to.
If the Yonko had a strong leader and all 4 of them come together as one WITHOUT any bickering, yeah that would be more threatening to the government.

My guess is that the God's Knights together have the strength of one Yonko's crew. The leader, probably pseudo-Shanks, is Yonko level while the remaining ones are at commander level. I think this would be a good balance of strength for an endgame reveal.
Edit: By commander level I mean their strengths range from Cracker at the low-end to King at the high-end. Currently, I think Rob Lucci is at Cracker level.
Rob Lucci managed to momentarily fight gear 5th current Luffy, Cracker would be destroyed by current g2nd Luffy

@@christhefiendI didn't mean to say that they were as weak to get one shot, but rather their threat doesn't lie within combat potential, they could be... let's say cp0 level physically, but they have either individual powers that are scary, or one collective type of power that make them as a group scary.
I have nothing concrete as of right now, but I feel like that might be where oda ends up going with it.

@@MemTMCR I personally hope for group specialized in defense / canceling powers. one piece really likes to make things 1v1 for a story with POWER OF FRIENDSHIP! being such a common theme. I also assume that they're using some sort of magitech as powersource (like the sky laser) that ties them to the holy land.

I think Shanks does have a twin and it’s the twin we see in chapter 907. Because if you go back to chapter 434, where Shanks and Whitebeard met, we see a profile of Shanks’ right side. Oda drew the scar on Shanks’ forehead reaching over to the right side of Shanks’ face. The profile in 907 doesn’t have that scar. That’s not something Oda would forget. That’s a deliberate choice.

I believe shanks has a twin brother but we haven’t seen him yet. Honestly considering shanks and Uta were discovered in treasure boxes there design layouts might be used for the god knights.

Mihawk could feasably have been a gods knight in the past? Very regal and has Yoru- has that gentle style sword play.

Also im terms of strength id imagine that there are tiers within the God Knights just like any pirate crew- Leader, commanders, crew, comic relief.

I think a Holy Knight was seen ages ago in the Punk Hazard arc during Clown's televised demo of his freshly made weapon Smiley with the horned broker with the feathered coat being the shadow of the horned knight when Dragon introduced this new faction in his thought bubble. I believe the horned knight wanted to use Smiley either as a steed or weapon.

In Norse myth we have 9 realms and considering my theory that IM is based off the Norse creator deity Yimir perhaps like the daimyo of Wano these nine knights rule over 9 regions of Elbaf and considering when we got introduced to Elbaf it was called the Warring Land of Elbaf so these knights could act like peacekeepers which is why they have been inactive in the main storyline because they have been contending with feuding giants.
