- Come along on a day of rare succulent shopping with my fiend Chris (@___CSG___) and I as we venture to three different nurseries in the San Diego area. We were fortunate enough to get to talk with Peter W. Who has been growing and selling rare and unusual succulents and cactus from all around the world for over 40 years! Links below. tours of legendary cactus nurseries are something I appreciate. I'm way over here on the east coast. I'll never get to see those nurseries. as a cactus enthusiast, I always learn something from seeing others' collections, the way they rear seedlings, the pots they use, top dressings, and all that. I just got some BAP and made a mad dash through my collection with it. lets see those stubborn plants pup now!

Thanks for bringing us along! I'm just getting into cactus and was just wondering if you know why most of these people keep their cactus in greenhouses? I live in San Diego as well and always thought most of these plants do well strictly outside in full sun. Thanks!
