| like how you fell in love with that one plant and then kept spotting it until you found one that was reasonable. Enjoy! And nice snag on the chunk of cactus - we love a bargain and a challenge :)
By the way for anyone watching, we always have a free cuttings table and a plant vendor at our monthly meetings. Third Tuesdays at 7pm in the same building. (Not this week though, we had to presentations at the show Sunday instead of a meeting this month. Also, that “leaf plucker” Guy is a board member of our society LOL. I think it was probably his plant and he was just cleaning it up.
Hi Jon!! Thanks so much for sharing this info 😊💜 Sorry for framing Guy haha!! His plants were beautiful it’s so nice to see people who care so much 😍 Thanks for hosting such an awesome event, can’t wait for the next one! 🤗🌵✨
it’s currently sitting out on my kitchen counter to callus over because the broken end is still a little juicy but i will definitely be showing it soon! probably in my next video or the one right after that. thanks so much for watching 😊💜✨🌵
I legit fell out of my chair at the $6k cactus... I GOTTA grow some succulents now! 😂🤣😢😭 Get that payday! 💵 Great video, and some very cool looking stuff there. 👍👍
Omg so many weird and wonderful cacti and succulents. I'm a succulent killer so I stay well away. Also that lady with the cane, cart and chair. I think due to mobility issues the chair's to probably to rest on occasionally. Can't wait to see what you do with the chunk. I've been told you can cut them up.
Lol did that guy really just take a piece of that succulent in front of you?! Love that you took us with you! I haven't been into succulents, but now I'm thinking, now I need a cart and a chair if I go to an event like this 😂
Thanks for bringing us along! On the contrary, the prices are much more reasonable compared to pries at my end. Last i saw was a thumb sized one that sold for 110USD, not even old enough to start spiraling!
Over the years I’ve made him look at so much plant related stuff so we’ve identified some plants he really likes and now it’s more fun for him haha! Persistence pays off in my experience 😋 hope your husband gets struck with some houseplant inspiration soon 🤞✨ Thanks so so much for watching!!💜😊💕
I finally got my first string of hearts because of you. Thank you so much for your amazing videos. I have no idea how I found you but it was by accident. My plant isn't variegated but hopefully I can find a decently priced one soon.
Wow amazing! the $5 pricetag right on the cactus is a vibe. In the last 2 months my plant collection went from 9->50+. Inspired by you to ask for discounts and take lots of rescues since they usually survive. No problems only one death so far a silver dragon alocasia that was going dormant when I paid for it from Facebook 😂 anyways thanks for being the first and best plant channel I’ve found on YT. Last one I got was the plant to the right of the peepper cactus , euphorbia trigona royal red. 30 from lowes for a 8inch pot 🤙 your husbands face with the cactus is also a vibe 🤣
I was immediately drawn to same one you're obsessed with! I'm still watching but I'm so hoping you got the 60 dollar one lol (or found a cheaper one) I really need the name of this cactus
oops forgot to add the cactus name- it’s a Eulychnia castanea varispiralis monstrosa 🌵🌀💜✨ thanks for asking! i’m so glad i got it too 😊 hoping to show the updates on the chunk in my next video or the one after….right now it’s still just chillin on my kitchen counter and i’m waiting for it to callus over a lil bit. thanks so much for watching!!🤗💜
Definitely looks like a euphoria of some sort! I have a euphoria trigona, and it’s one of the coolest plants I own. Definitely want to get other types!
I don‘t know if Deannas ‚space plant‘ was a Pachypodium lamerei, but from all Madagascar Plants P. brevicaule is absolutely the spaciest. I recommend growing all pachys from seeds. It‘s a lot of fun watching these thriving. Just be prepared to serve meals at down to pH 3,5, and don‘t sow in vermiculite. Thanks for the impressions. ✌️
wow hazplants ily 😍 the brevicaule has been up at the top of my wishlist for ages! thanks for knowing what I was talking about in star trek- i spent a while trying to google image search pictures of troi to see the plant again because i remember thinking it wasn’t quite a lamerei -it had longer leaves or something??but i can’t quite remember. I actually first got interested in pachypodium bc i was trying to ID her plant years ago but now i can’t find it without rewatching everything lol. this may be a long shot but do you happen to know what episode(s) i should watch to see this plant? anyways thx for watching and sharing ur pachypodium enthusiasm!☺️💜💜💜🌟
@@reallybigplant I rewatched several episodes, but aside from being hooked again, I am quite sure now that Deanna saying ‚this my spaceplant‘ is not part of the plot. Digging a little deeper on G, the specific plant was identified as P. lamerei on some trivia/fansites (esp. a fangroup on fb) and called ‚spaceplant‘ there. As a sidenote, I did not bookmark that page and was searching it again, but now it is just not there anymore. 🤔 Damn
Wow...cactus and succulents are soooooooexpensive in America...send me your address and I will send you some cuttings from the UK!!! Much cheaper!!! Jan.x
aww so kind of you thanks so much for the offer! yeah everything is priced at a premium in our big cities these days… I call it $an Franci$co 🤑😫 anyways thanks so much for watching!!😊💜✨🌵
