I've seen this live. It's amazing. Godsmack puts on great shows.
The winner in that battle is the crowd getting to see it live 🤘
🤘🏻😎💯
Huge Godsmack fan! Have been for 20 years. Seen them 10 times. And now at age 55. I still saw them last summer.
The crowd is the winner , for getting to witness this
Sully (the singer) recorded the drums on the first 2 godsmack records
Exactly right. He should do 1000hp. Love that song.
These guys are insanely awesome live. to include this drum battle
One of the best hard rock show that i ever see
Sully and Shannon are fucking bad asses
You should see it live. It's better when you can feel the energy.
🤘🏻👍🏻🐐👌🏻🐐👍🏻
I've got to see it twice after the first time. I told my wife I wanted to learn the drums... she looked at me like 🤪...3 yrs later 2nd time she knew I was serious. Found a used set and loven it 😁 awesome stress reliever and fun as hell too play alone to favorite songs. I've got a goal to play ... Devil in I.. by the time I turn 50, so 1 more yr to get dubs down 😆🤞
You got to see it live !!! Omgoodness amazing !! I've seen the 9 times !!
Wasnt a real big god smack fan till i saw this in person when they opened for metallica. So badass!!
It’s not just their great musicians but masters at chord progression and song construction lol.
The drummer is Shannon Larkin, his first band was Wrathchild America. Some excellent playing on those two albums
He was also the drummer for ugly kid Joe
@@joefilipelli3867 cool. I didn't know that
I have seen Godsmack 3x and loved every second
Huge Godsmack fan! Started with them at age 35 and now I’m 55. I’ve seen them in concert a half dozen times. Boston Strong.
My#1 since their first album. Seen this several times. My son's first concert.
My top shelf favorite of all time, has been for many years. I watched this in the old format but once they opened it up to HD I couldn't control the goosebumps every time. The perfect pair... Shannon and Sully. These guys are the shit. Sully sat behind the drums of a going no where band for 21 years....and finally said fuck this walked away and created Godsmack...the Legend.
I have seen them 5 times and saw this live, amazing.
I'm just going to say, I really like your reactions. I am 60 years old and I really like how you listen. On the normal reactions ,drummers have to break it down. Fuck that. Just enjoy great drummers. U do that. Thanks 😊
Seen this live soooooo many times. They are incredible......
Honestly surprised it took this long. Lol. You're reactions on everything you do. By far some of the best. Your facial expressions. Your passion showing through. Keep it up.
I love Shannon Larkin! Amazing drummer, sully is holding his own pretty good but Shannon wins. 🎉
I have seen it live as well and SO AMAZING!!!
Godsmack...hell yeah. Sully is awesome. Shannon is a beast. Iam a drummer. I admire both dudes....
Imagine how much practice it took to get this tight and right! Imagine being the sound man who had to deal with two drumsets and get this mix right. This took so much work it would boggle the mind of the average fan. As a guitarist, I know how hard this was to get tight. Massive practice time and so many sleepless nights working this out. Not to mention all the rest of the show. Fans have no idea how hard musicians work to bring them a tight show. If they knew, they would fall down in awe of the hard work it takes to put on a pro show.
I love your passion. Godsmack fan here!
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Sully is the total package... voice, drums, guitar, keys... probably plays the kazoo with authority too.
Colby its Jeff from The MCU'S Bleeding Edge dude, love your channel man, hey I caught Godsmack in Tampa with my Daughter like two months ago and they had a f'ing drum off at that show at the Ampitheater out there right outside Brandon. Dude they did everything bro I swear, Sully sounded as good as he did when i saw them in 1998 as a kid and they had a freaking drum off, they had a extended drum solo session deal with the main drummer where he used the bongos and all that shit, and then to top it off the band brought a bunch of random young kids on stage with them to help sing a song, i forget which one it was I was pretty well faded at that point my friend lol, i fan cammed some of the drum solo deal but i just have not had time to put up any of my show footage for months cause i go to so many shows man! I saw Shinedown and Papa Roach last month with another creator up in Tampa and i saw Fallout Boy the month before that again with my daughter it was a dope show man they suprisingly to me really killed it live and played a very long main set. Just wanted to peep you out man and let you know i caught the band doing this shit just a minute ago dude this is Godsmack on the reg apparently brah.
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Love Godsmack!!!🤘😎🤘
I saw this live in Albuquerque NM in 2006.
Not really a Godsmack fan. But I have been in every way shape and form, a massive fan of this performance. It of course isn't truly a drum battle. More of a drum duo extravaganza. It is hands down one of the greatest percussion duo performances of all time. I do have a very difficult time believing that there are many drummers who don't already know and have seen this video though. At least not a drummer as old as you sir. It would be about as believable if you were to say......"Drum player here. I've been drumming for over 20 years. Today I will be reacting to some guy named Buddy Rich. Buddy Rich? Huh, I think I may have heard of him maybe. Don't believe I've ever seen him play though. Lets watch and see if he's any good. Don't forget to Like and Subscribe." Yeah, I wouldn't buy that for a second. It's about the same thing with this video here.
Saw them back in 2015 on my bday and i saw videos of this drum and loved it and they did it at the concert i was at and it sounded just as good as the videos i saw, what an amazing experience!
I think we should see El estepario Siberiano play this 😎
i like to think of it more as a master + student exhibition than a battle.
Sully Erna actually started as a drummer himself before he got behind the mic.
He was a drummer for Meliah Rage.
Seen it live 2x amazing both times...
Sully rages! Such an artist extraordinaire
Most certainly a god smack fan.
I was there. Its was epic live!! I personally think Sully beat Shannon
I am in love
Absolutely stunning both are incredible
great vibes new sub cant wait for more!
Yes I seen them at Rock fest in kcit turned into mud fest after I seen them I left walk around in ankle deep mud
Finally you do this one
Still incredible
Yes I am a godsmack fan
This is glorious... Luv 'em Awesome
Cool
Huge Fan!!!
Привет из России 🫶🤘 Godsmack навсегда!
I LOVED it!!!! ♥
Gobsmack fan!
I was never answered this question because people think I'm joking but is an honest one. Does Larkin headbutt a cymbal at 5:25? It sure looks like it!
Again, for a moment, remember me the dueto of Phil Collins (just for a moment). I like it.
Qh hell yeah..Love them
They're timing was dead on
Larkin is an absolute beast. If Animal from The Muppets could take human form… it would be Shannon 🤘
Shannon is a beast but Sully held his own!!!
I think the Crowd Won!!
I don't think the point of this is 'winning'. They are not really battling, it's a composed duo drum performance. Not sure why people call this a 'battle'. They are obviously not competing.
Tell you who wins, us
Shannon Larkin is awesome, so underrated. Sully is solid. but i find this entire segment boring.
You didn't even finish? Thumbs down.
