I'm impressed with the Wii version. Although its certainly not as pretty as the 360/PS3 versions, its graphics do look close enough to the HD versions and is a comprable port. :)

Played this on my Wii all the time. I am now just learning about all the versions after recently buying it for my 3DS. How expansive this game is is incredible and I love how the graphics are optimized for every consoles needs. Sega really hit the nail on the head with this one and I loved it.
why cant you play with a gamecube controller though. my nucnhuks are absolutely fucked and playing with a single wii remote is very hard and this game was made to be played on a more regular controller so the gamecube controller would be perfect but sega just said no gamecube controller for you

The DS version of Sonic and All Stars Racing on DS looks very similar to MK DS, and that's not an insult. It amazes me that they could get such a good Racing game on the hardware they were given to work with.
They could just slap that Sonic model with his car as the first car, Toad's standard kart as the second one, and the Shooting Star (Mario's third vehicle) as the third, and he would still fit into the game.
Kind of funny how the 3D model of Sonic has a mouth on the Wii but not on the PS3/X360/Windows. Anyway, it is an excellent port for all platforms, it is impressive that this game runs at 60fps even on the Nintendo DS.
Am I the only one who knows how to change the graphics on the Windows version to at least look like the Xbox 360 and to turn on proper wide-screen? Unless you can only do that in the Steam copy then I understand.
It’s just because for whatever reason the guy that made the video turned the gamma (brightness) on the PS3 way up, the PS3 version with the gamma set to the default 50 is the best console version, looks identical to the PC version with max visual settings and it pretty much always runs at 60. The 360 version looks the same but it doesn’t perform quite as well. I own every version of this game for unexplainable reasons
One day in June of 2021, I was in my garage looking for a PS2 power cord because we lost ours but still had the AV cords, then when I opened a box, I found this game for the Wii. I did not know we even had it until that day.
I wish these games got re-released on modern platforms, especially the Switch! Even if the Xbox 360 version became backwards compatible like its successor, it would be a start!

i missed playing sonic and all star racing & sonic and all star racing transformed on the ps3 many years ago, then i looked on steam and it was on there. immediatly bought both since they were on sale, found a controller, and played on my computer, best $10 ever spent

Android looks like a PS2 game. Wii is Gamecube, XBOX 360 and PS3 are PC with The Elder Scrolls Oblivion's bloom or a weird reshade configuration or mod going on there.
conclusion: Nintendo ds: good port and graphics. android: dreamcast graphics, but acceptable. Nintendo wii: better port and graphics. xbox 360: superior to the wii, but it doesn't have a lot of graphics changes. ps3: better than xbox 360, great lighting. Windows: excellent port, but capped. This is my opinion.

The 360 version’s easily the best, it has Banjo & Kazooie in addition to the Avatar. Shame the PS3 version didn’t have Jak & Daxter and Sweet Tooth (As there wasn’t any avatar built into the system, not counting games like LBP or Modnation Racers or even PlayStation Home). I know the Wii version was gonna have Mario in addition to the Mii but it would’ve been cool if he was in the Wii version.
id say the 360 version, since this is my childhood game, the graphics are nice, the levels are great, i really liked it, and i consider the 360 version being the definitive edition of the, since it has dlcs like metal sonic and ryo 2, exclusive characters like my favourite banjo kazooie, and avatar, you may ask what about wii since they have mii, well i think there basically the same thing, so ill consider 360 as definitive, for handheld, i think ill go for the phone, but its just my opinion
When I first played this game the first time I'm really was enjoying the Wii version but idk if I like the 360 more or the ps3 and as well on pc I'm probably bet u u can run up to 4k on the PC if u have the mods if u have like a 3000 series graphics card but my best if I haved to play the game again probably the pc version or the 360 because I think you can play backwards completely on ur Xbox one with this game witch is good 👍

The PS3 version is being emulated, and so this video is misleading.
The PS3 version is shiny as all hell. But I prefer the 360 version because it has extra racers like Banjo & Kazooie and Zobio and Zobiko.
