  • Patrick Roy made his return to Montreal on Thursday night as the head coach of the opposing New York Islanders and was greeted with a standing ovation and photo montage during the national anthem. Jay Onrait was joined by TSN Canadiens reporter Kenzie Lalonde to discuss the atmosphere in the Bell Centre for Roy’s return, and details how the Habs spoiled his night with a 4-3 victory.

I love Kenzie Lalonde. The music for Le Monde de Lalonde should be her fav show's theme, "I'll Be There For You."

I hope this time, and for once, O-Dog Jeff O'Neill admits he was wrong as he said there would be NO recognition of Patrick Roy and no way would Roy would wave etc. This is proof, again, that, despite what he thinks, O-Dog doesn't know everything

      I enjoyed his reports also.
Apparently he's rocking his bow ties in his hometown of Winnipeg for TSN.
I always thought he was from Montreal. Stylish cat and class act that John Lu.

@@sonic1957I seen him a few weeks ago on tsn and it was Winnipeg he was working for. That guy is awesome and glad he’s still around. I always associated him with Montreal since he was there forever covering the team

He moved to Winnipeg just a little before 22-23 season. He's on the Jets broadcast now

what a bone headed move by the Canadiens owner Ronald Cory in 1995 . there was a tiff betewen Roy and coach Mario Tremblay so Cory (instead of trying to resolve the issue ,) decided to keep Tremblay ( who was an awful coach anyway ) and trade their star goalie instead ?? like WTF
