It's like a meme that Nick Cave only makes grim and depressing songs but he has done great love songs too without darkness in them.
I like "Into My Arms" a lot.
I hope you will hear it because you are so lovely.
The reason that this and the Kylie duet are both about murder is they are from the concept album "Murder Ballads". I also recommend Stagger Lee from the same album if you don't mind cussing.

PJ Harvey is a legend, she is one of the greatest and most acclaimed female artists of all time and a pioneer of 90s alternative. The obvious chemistry she and Nick have in this video is not contrived but real, the two were lovers for a brief period and filming this video was the start of their romance. You should really check out some of her songs, Try Send His Love To Me or Down By The Water

Ol Laughing Lenny was a big influence on Cave. He covered Cohen on record at least twice with Avalanche and Tower of Song.
On death: Henry Lee was on the Murder Ballads album like the Kylie collab. Plenty other albums to choose from. Not all of them are packed with death. Only mostly….
Nick can make the best love songs ever.
(two beautiful love songs from the same album are Stagger Lee and the Curse of Millhaven although the latter is more like a serial killer song and the former is so lovely it will make angels cry.. Then again the curse of Millhaven is an unexpected culprit so .....If you like Sherlock H.? (highly recommended)

Nick Cave's first band, The Boys Next Door, had an alternative radio hit with a fantastic song called "Shivers" in 1979 .. It's darkly beautiful .. Check it out if you get a chance.
