yo man my negative thoughts hold me back from improving i play so well when i dont have those thoughts but its hard to not auto pilot when you're trying to prevent negative thoughts at the same time
Start with recognizing the source of the negative thoughts. What triggers them? What are the underlying beliefs? - Understanding them on a deeper level is a good start to overcoming them.
I just become bad all of a sudden. I literally try harder to aim and control recoil than i try at the game itself. I’ll probably never be good at anything that has aiming in it
This explains why some times I do really well and other times I don't get a single kill. I've got ADHD and am not medicated and I also just over think and think about everything almost all the time. I'm tired of people messaging me that I suck because I know I don't, but I also do.
Honestly this was a huge help in regards of feeling guilty, I'm always thinking about how much I suck compared to my teammates. Constantly worried about my performance and stats. I have a solid game sense though since i can't move past these thoughts i hinder my performance, miss shots and sometimes have a hard time keeping up. Though i tried solo queuing and did much better without my friends, outside of being in insane lobbies where I'm just meat to the grinders, i did very well and even carried sometimes, i don't feel as guilty when playing when randoms since it's unlucky we'll meet again. On a positive note, my teammates are always supportive and think i'm better than i give myself credit for. I always go over my mistakes when i lose a fight to try and improve, maybe it'll pay off sometime.
I’ve noticed my broad focus is terrible, but I never knew that’s what it is called. I watch pros and I’m always shocked at how they spot enemies so far away. When I’m traversing the map in Apex I get to a high spot, stop, and basically stop looking around and watch for movements to try and see where people are. I guess I’m like a T-Rex (a fossil lmao). I thought I was having a harder time seeing enemies because most of these pros I’m viewing are in their late teens/early 20s, and I’m 34. But I’ve seen plenty of people who are older than myself dominate so it can’t be just age related.
I have this issue too i thoight for me it’s because I have adhd and asd and I hyperfocus on the wrong things and maybe just get overwhelmed by so many things happening at the same time everywhere lol
Im just zoned out asf bc nothing is happening and I already know what will happen. Get a huge advantage, lose bc i missed my shots bc my aim suddenly becomes bad. I have 2400 hours on apex and the only reason i die is because of my god awful aim, ive been playing shooters for 7 1/2 years
I recently started playing Gears of War online again. I found that usually if I play as Marcus I get more kills because my brain is thinking it's campaign which I'm really good at. When I switch to Carmine, my favorite character, I tend to do worse. Some times I kick ass with Carmine though.
What to do if I have tourettes? I'm always really good at shooting, spent a lot of time in games and I'm in fact very confident person. I do really precise shots, don't shoot before ready, I prefer to die becoming better instead of winning randomly by just lucky shot. But tourettes just overwhelms my right wrist that I aim with. I just shake it all the time (up and down), even when I'm not stressed. I can't stop it. Every day it gets worse and I'm becoming worse at shooting. It just kills me. I haven't ever been tilting EVERY match as I do now, because I knew: "Every death makes me stronger. Next time I'll try something different.". But now... I see an enemy (even with my constantly blinking of tourettes eyes), but I can't move my mouse, JUST CAN'T!!! Imagine seeing your dear person getting punched and you can just look at this and cry like in typical nightmare - this is what I feel. As I shake my body uncontrollable, they just kill me. Again and again. I've tried to rest, it didn't help. What do I have to do? Please, help.
Me, with (currently) unmedicated adhd trying to focus for 0.3 seconds in a game without checking a different corner and subsequently looking away for a split second before getting rolled from the corner I just checked because I can't be patient and slow down:
I have to tell myself to SLOW DOWN all the time 😅 I think a part of it is the fact that I’m usually rushing to get kills because I’ve been dying. I literally tell myself “hey play like a pro. Play like ur in no rush to get kills because you get them all the time. Stop chasing the dopamine.” Helps sometimes lol
I've got a question. An answer to this would be much appreciated. How do you stop yourself from getting tilted by enemies, miss plays, whiffing shots, etc. I just seem to get tilted pretty quickly as of late and it is really impacting my gameplay. I try to control it and it works for a couple of rounds but at some point I just start tilting and it seems to say in me for the rest of the session. Anyone that has any tips on how to control this better or just not get tilted at all?
From my experience, to not getting frustrated by that, you need to address the reasons behind that frustrations. For example, you whiffled your easy awp shots or having bad plans? you blamed yourself how badly you was (while you was pretty good at that game most of the time) ? That means you just exaggerated your mistakes ,humans always make mistakes, nothing is perfect, even the pro players will have that silly moments even worse than yours. Therefore, you should consider your mistakes you made was just by accident or unlucky, and finding out the better way to fix it or at least, diminish the chance of getting it again. From another aspect, if your enemies is toxic, just mute them for the rest of the match, that ways will put your mind at ease . Just keep that in mind, if you still keep tilted for no reasons, then you should definitely stop playing that game at the moments until your mental health is stabilized.
Record ur game play Review ur gun fights in .25x Adjust in game sens Note: dpi is pointer smoothness Low dpi = jagged Jittery with Micro adjustments High dpi = glide on ice Overshoot
But if you adjust in game sens accordingly for shit really matter? For example 800 .4 in game vs 1600 .2 in game isn't it the same thing? In which case 1600 is preferred for sensor smoothness?
I swear my eye sight has worsened and I think it’s making me lose some aim battles I shouldn’t 😅 gonna get some prescription glasses soon hopefully and surely my aim will improve 😢
One word: clutch. If you don't know what clutch is, it allows you to momentarily reduce DPI upon pressing the designated button and then return to your currently set DPI when released. This is a much better method than messing with the typical two button setup below the mouse wheel. I had my Razor Death Adder for two years before I realized Synapse had a clutch feature. After that I looked for a mouse that made more sense using clutch. It turns out there was already one designed with this in mind: Basilisk. It has a thumb button placed towards the tip of your thumb that allows for quick access to lower DPI, for more precision shots. Other companies have similar mice, like the Logitech G502. I highly recommend one like these that supports a clutch feature. It's changed my FPS gaming immensely and has made them more enjoyable.
I’ve loved fps games since I was little but my problem is that I’m inconsistent and when I do bad I instantly drop to the conclusion that I just suck in general. Do u have any advice
it took me FOREVER to see that blue handkerchief ngl prob about 10 seconds. I also could only remember camera, sash, yellow shirt, wings on hat, red hat, blue sword in 10 seconds. god im terrible at this
Nope sudden loss of aim skill is my problem, took 1 day away from the game & boom all aim skill gone. This is why i absolutely despise people who have good genetics, they never practice, they never put in any effort, they never play but somehow have god teir aim all the time but me with 15k hours & 1k of aim training can barely keep his aim skill for 2-3 weeks while being hyperaware to everything possible that im doing to have good aim but still somehow i suddenly lose my skills. I should start cheating honestly.
My problem is when people talk to me ingame or on discord and backseating every decision I make. I know they are trying to help, but I always perform very bad with a person in my ear. Then I start thinking about what they say and everything just goes slower. I think this is also why when im dead and spectating, my info is very short and precise, I dont interrupt them if I think they are making a mistake, I tell that afterwards.
Been playing Apex since season 2 and my aim relentlessly lets me down. I’ll do 80-90% of the damage required to down someone, but I’ll typically fall just short and die as a result. It’s odd because I was getting pissed the other night after getting curb stomped for like 6 matches in a row. I told my friends that the next match would be my last. Then I popped off, 7 kills 1800 damage and won the game. I was lasering people at the end. My KD would double if I could aim like that consistently. But idk how to get there. The next match I’m back to my usual 80-90% good, but just bad enough I lose the exchange. Frustrating beyond belief.
so land where to fight only 1 team of you dont want this , sometimes train in a smart hotdrop or close to one not in the middle if you want i can help you
So i pose a question.. what if i used to be amazing and had degraded so much in the last year that sometimes i feel like i cant even track a target or my flicks are way off. I used to be the hard carry always and now im worse than everyone around me. (Controller btw) what happened? Anyone else experience this?
This video didn't help AT ALL. I have no problems with ANY of the things mentioned. MY PROBLEM IS AIM, I just cannot calculate these random movements and make my mouse do what my eyes do, specifically in Apex Legends. I don't seem to have the same problem in Overwatch or TF2.
Sometimes in a gunfight I know I have to move my mouse to the left to correct the shot but it feels like the mouse weights a million tons and i have to make a mental effort and what feels like use a lot of force to move it. When in reality it's extremely light. Did anyone felt that or I'm broken.
1.The problem isn't guilt. It's frustration 90% of the time when u miss an ez shot or kill 2. Strategies rarely go according to plan. Never make one. It will always derail halfway through Everything else can actually help
Guilt is defined as, ".. a self-conscious emotion that involves negative evaluations of the self, feelings of distress, and feelings of failure" according to verywellmind. Which I'm saying not to disagree with you but to bring in a definition that may help others identify what they are feeling in the moment. Strategies are tricky, but they definitely do work. You'll see it more effectively executed on S&D type modes over Deathmatch and in some ways BR. But I rarely see a strategy that is pre-planned and didn't change within the first minute of a round. Part of using strategy is being able to make calls quickly. Another is realizing that what strategy you use is only partially dictated by you. At some point "the strategy" is just ingrained into your head as the most obvious thing to do in the situation you are in.
My body literally has guilt bro when its 100% on the target it doesnt shoot fast and it flicks of the person like geez i didnt know there's another person in me
If I'm not distracted recording or checking my software none of these have been my problem aside from narrow focus oddly enough I thought I'd have a problem with broad focus but I couldn't find that hat in 10 secs...need to work on this XD My biggest problem is my coordination I'm always way off from my target regardless of my mouse settings and can't lead shots if that game has bullet travel time and or drop I can put 2000 hours going full no life and it doesn't get better I can snap right to a target when I'm focused but the shot is so far off it could make a stormtrooper laugh >.< Edit this is the same case irl I don't want to talk about the number of times of trip and fall on everything or the number of times I've ripped the metal part covering my cars bumper off because I was closer to a curb then I thought.
thats cute and all but ita more like feeling like ur only getting 1 shot but needing to shoot for 5 seconds for ur enemy to die or why my gun always reloads do slow when i need it the most etc
I have cases of anxiety (mainly on health) which also get in the way during play. Then a previous case of Ranked Anxiety. Which is now out and gone (the Ranked Anxiety, not the Health Anxiety), for as of today, I’ve officially Retired from Competitive Gaming, and consider that it’s not for me. Which is also one case, and one other problem I have, which I now believe is also a cause - being distracted by visions of the future, like a Higher Rank or being On Stage in an official Tournament. To let those visions blind me.
Camera, yellow shirt, jeans, female. Edit: Another good watch. This one is a good follow-up to the mindfulness video that you put out. You can aim to get bursts of mindfulness throughout the day just checking in with how your body feels.
Red shirt, jean jacket, jeans, blue weapon, looked like a sword, red hat with ears, big eyes(believe they were green. Didn't do 10 seconds just the small time you showed it. Edit: Yellow, not red shirt, camera, red scarf around waist with the extra few seconds of pausing
Just enjoy and have fun and don't rage ore yell at the other team Just because you made a bad play everyone has bad games and days 😊 I'm 100% not good at any fps games but I have fun and I don't rage ore get angry at my performance 😊😊😊 it's just gg 😊
Its not possible to play shooters on pc. You're playing against streamers who do it for a living as well as cheaters. Also the amount of bullshit settings and scripts you can use to gain an advantage is ridiculous. Shooters are flat out terrible on pc unless it's single player/PVE. Pvp shooter on PC are garbage.
@@eathletelabs distraction It has nothing to do with ur aim Fe if u play warzone like most people do nowadays since all other fps are bad u are distracted by everything all the time Aim trainers....I did try.2 aim trainers they totally blow and playing aim trainers for 5 h a day is not gonna help u in anything Just play the game the fps game not some aim.trainer that is not even close to recreating situations from ur game

Hope you enjoy this one!
why you talking about me
Its not possible to play shooters on pc. You're playing against streamers who do it for a living as well as cheaters. Also the amount of bullshit settings and scripts you can use to gain an advantage is ridiculous. Shooters are flat out terrible on pc unless it's single player/PVE. Pvp shooter on PC are garbage.
Aim sucks, 1000’s of hrs wasted. Should have gotten my doctorate or a useful life skill.

I be honest thats the most useless information i ever heard
Open to constructive feedback. Any pointers or specific aspects that you find useless?
@@eathletelabs distraction
It has nothing to do with ur aim
Fe if u play warzone like most people do nowadays since all other fps are bad u are distracted by everything all the time
Aim trainers....I did try.2 aim trainers they totally blow and playing aim trainers for 5 h a day is not gonna help u in anything
Just play the game the fps game not some aim.trainer that is not even close to recreating situations from ur game
@@PejtuJoker your not suppost to only play aim trainers
@@PejtuJoker you don’t know anything holy crap you’re saying this guys info is useless but meanwhile yours is horrible
Yeah he's just self reflecting lol, nothing to see here to make you aim better.
