1:27 There is also another warp zone in 4-2, if you hit the first block after the first set of moving platforms a vine appears and if you climb it you can warp to worlds 6 7 or 8
I literally just five starred NSMB2 a few minutes ago, and I realized how secret some of the star coins are. One you have to ride a flying ? block to a secret area, and many more. Probably the best NSMB game secretwise.
I personally find the secret exits so difficult in that game. I usually find them myself in every other (N)SMB game, but in this one I had to look maany up😅
I think the Lost Levels backwards warps are specifically the ones where it's "too easy" to, for instance, trampoline beyond the flagpole. I don't know how much this holds up for all of them but I do remember, after being burned a few times, realizing, oh! That's a trap, I shouldn't go for that one
About SM64 Wing Cap: at least in the Pal Version you need to have 10 Stars first and when collecting the 10th star you get warped to the main hall like usual but there is a sunshine from above, so you are kind of intrigued to look up.
In Super Mario 3D World, there is actually a secret room in the level Red-Hot Run. In that part of the level where you collect the green star to collect those green coins, fall down the middle to find yourself a green pipe. Enter that pipe, and you’ll see a star power-up and GOOMBASSSS
The fact that Copycat called the Chimp’s Skating Challenge stars in Galaxy 2 only “somewhat difficult” irks me. The second skating challenge is one of the hardest stars in the game!
Haha yes dude! I wonder how many kids got called liars when trying to tell their friends about it... I vividly remember getting it as a child in the 90s and no one on the school yard knowing what the hell i was talking about lol.
Also something I wanna say that is technically not a conventional mainline Mario game, but I'll say it anyway because I feel like most people don't even realise this room exists. In Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door after beating Gloomtail, if you blow up the wall behind him with Bobbery, you can find a room containing a Jammin' Jelly and an Ultra Shroom. I think this would prove beneficial to ANY player playing this game. Plus also, after beating Gloomtail and receiving the star pendant and inserting it into the pedestal, it cuts off access to the Gloomtail room permanently, meaning you won't be able to get these items after doing this. Because I've seen my fair share of playthroughs of the game where people completely ignore this, or are unaware of it, and it frustrates me to living hell.
Real quick: the video says there are 96 alternate exits across the game world. This is half correct.. there are actually 72 exits with 96 total goal tapes to cross. There are 24 "secret" exits. I get what he was trying to say, it was just worded incorrectly. No harm no foul though :) this is my second time watching, great vid man
In the Super Mario Bros. 3 showcase, you probably should have mentioned the third warp whistle found in world 2 while fighting some Fire Bros. Idk if it counts as a "room" though.
Also, I respect your opinion on NSMB2, but, well, dislike it all you want, but I think it's cool. Though I kinda wish they did something more unique instead of just copying and pasting many aspects from the Wii version to make it much more enjoyable.
I know a lot of people don't like new Super Mario Brothers 2 as much but I think there's a lot of good things in that game but I actually lied but that's just my opinion of course
There’s one hidden level that you didn’t mention in this video. I can’t remember the exact name of the hidden level in the chocolate island in Super Mario World. I believe the level is called top secret or secret level. It’s accessible from a secret exit in the ghost house. The only thing the level contains are some power ups.
Point of grammar: The rooms are not "secretive." They don't keep secrets and gossip with their secretive friends. They are "secret" levels. Sorry, pet peeve.
LOL... SMB _"starting it all when it comes to secret rooms"_ ? If you are talking about Mario games, then yep, but if you are talking videogames in general, it is a resounding nope as the real first secret room + easter egg + first credits screen goes to Adventure for the Atari 2600. If this isn't and honest wordage mistake or gross lack of research, then it is the usual fanboyism speaking giving Nintendo credit for things it didn't first invent, like the analog sticks (Prinztronic/Azertron 1978), the D-Pad (Blatant ripoff of the 1979's Intellivision's D-Disc), side scrolling platform games (Jump Bug, 1981, Alpha Denshi), etc., etc...
You are not knowledgeable enough about this subject to create videos on it. Ffs you didn’t even cover minus world or the other warp zone in the the original Mario bros.
1:27 There is also another warp zone in 4-2, if you hit the first block after the first set of moving platforms a vine appears and if you climb it you can warp to worlds 6 7 or 8
I was thinking about that. I "speedran" getting from world 1 to world 8 (or 6, I can't remember) for a while and I could not miss that room
Hi joe
what game???????????????????????????????????????????
@lizzak Mario 1
I was going to say that.
I literally just five starred NSMB2 a few minutes ago, and I realized how secret some of the star coins are. One you have to ride a flying ? block to a secret area, and many more. Probably the best NSMB game secretwise.

There are also the Coin Heavens in SMB1.
No?
@@rocbot9479 , There are some coins heavens like 2-1 find that one vine in a block
@@imadrasyad831 these were sooo useful in SMB35
and also in smb2j
yes
Actually new Super Mario Brothers 2 has secrets that you have to use the gold flower for in a lot of times they're really good-looking secrets
About SM64 Wing Cap: at least in the Pal Version you need to have 10 Stars first and when collecting the 10th star you get warped to the main hall like usual but there is a sunshine from above, so you are kind of intrigued to look up.
It happens the same way in NTSC.
i could swear that in the N64 version there was a beam of light and in the switch version
10:17 who else thought their video froze and tried to fix it?
I was wondering about that!
In Super Mario 3D World, there is actually a secret room in the level Red-Hot Run. In that part of the level where you collect the green star to collect those green coins, fall down the middle to find yourself a green pipe. Enter that pipe, and you’ll see a star power-up and GOOMBASSSS
Some people think that the hidden train in Mario Galaxy is a foreshadowing for Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, that's a bit of a stretch.
My favorite secret room in Super Mario Odyssey has to be the Lost Kingdom Captain Toad room.
The fact that Copycat called the Chimp’s Skating Challenge stars in Galaxy 2 only “somewhat difficult” irks me. The second skating challenge is one of the hardest stars in the game!
I am so sad that Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars wasn't featured in this video. By far my favorite game from the entire franchise!
Super Mario RPG is not part of the mainline Mario games
Been looking forward to this.
I could only ever find 97 of the 99 levels in super Mario world.
Much love from North Wales 🏴 in the U.K. 🇬🇧
SMW only has 96 exits, so unless you're playing a hack with more than 96 exits, that's a mathematical impossibility.
1-3 is the first instance of warping in SMB2. Same premise, easier to remember how to access.
In SMB3 you missed turning hammer bros in to ships by matching the 2nd digit in score with double digit coins (ex. 100020 with 22 coins)
I wish we get a new mario game soon
Same
We have sparks of hope still coming
I kind of want a new Mario 2d platformer that has a unique artstyle and gameplay mechanics
Well now in 2024 we have the magnificent Super Mario Bros Wonder
Coin Airships in SMB3
This right here. Was hoping to see this covered...I don't remember how or who I learned it from as a child.
Haha yes dude! I wonder how many kids got called liars when trying to tell their friends about it...
I vividly remember getting it as a child in the 90s and no one on the school yard knowing what the hell i was talking about lol.
I love the music at the end
i like this video a lot, make more just like it!!

You didn't mention the secret area on World 2's map in Mario bros 3
Man, there are secrets galore I couldn't figure out, even to this day!
Not sure why but the first time I encountered 3-1 in SMB2 I immediately jumped to the bottom.
thou hast returned

You didn't mention the Hidden Fire Bro fight in World 2 in Mario Bros 3
The third whistle on the second map(desert) past the pyramids in Super Mario 3
In Sunshine there is a secret 2d electric goomba hidden under the level
NSMBW - Skipping most of World 7-Castle via a secret exit in 7-6
Also, I respect your opinion on NSMB2, but, well, dislike it all you want, but I think it's cool. Though I kinda wish they did something more unique instead of just copying and pasting many aspects from the Wii version to make it much more enjoyable.

The gold train in 3d world forgot about that
i don’t know in smo or sm3dw about my favorite hidden rm
There's a secret area in the very top left corner of 6-6 in new super mario bros for the ds. Hard to get to and out of view.
You didn't mention the secret Mario and Link tile things in Super Mario 3D World :(
U forgot the vine warp zone in 4-2 Wich takes u to world 6,7,or 8
10:28 Unless you use the skip trick
your voice king of sounds like konekokitten's voice and flamingo's voice put together
(NOT AN INSULT)
I love how the lost levels backward warps have little suicide holes. Y U so crazy Japan.
Interesting! 😎👍

Donut Plains. Fly up and around to an upper path with 3 1ups in blocks and a second goal gate.
It’s also an infinite 1UP trick, if you enter while riding Yoshi, the yoshi egg item will spawn a 1UP instead of a yoshi
in M64 there is a picture framed behinde the waterfall ;)
Point of grammar: The rooms are not "secretive." They don't keep secrets and gossip with their secretive friends. They are "secret" levels.
Sorry, pet peeve.
How about to do 100% in smo
Awesome
No one ever counts "super mario land 3: Wario land" when making these :(
Why is the koopa troppa a Mario
Red Para troppa is a Mario?
None in super Mario 3d world?
This title is incredibly misleading since you even know you missed/didnt cover secret rooms.
Reporting for false claim, the video does NOT tell every secret room.
Nice

boring, unoriginal content as usual. unsubscribed
